  1. Most Goa trance fans probably know the first track well, but I suspect the second one is unfamiliar even to many dedicated fans. It's really more of a classic trance track, with just a hint of Goa in it. Both tracks were written by the same artist, which is why I've posted them back to back. Shell Shock - Sunshine On Tokyo (Main Mix) (1996) The Nomads — The Holy Land Spirit (Club Mix) | also known as Original Mix
  2. Humate — 3.2 (Bedrock Mix) (1998) One of the best tracks released on Platipus — a timeless classic. https://www.discogs.com/release/24812-Humate-31
  3. Today I present two tracks that use very similar melodies. The first track was written by songwriter Nello Tijardovic, who has dozens of tracks behind him, mostly dance music. The second track is by the project Notch. It’s barely known even among goa fans. This was a project by the guys from Carbon Based Lifeforms. As you can hear, they definitely didn’t start out in the genre they later became famous for. If anyone doesn’t catch the similarity between these two tracks, here are the timestamps: first track — 05:59, second — 04:09. Even the track title “Phenomenology” seems like a nod to Miranda. Remember the name of her first album? Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m referring to. Miranda — Mars Needs Women (1998) | Written by Nello Tijardovic Notch — Phenomenology (1999)
  4. Listen to both tracks back to back. Am I the only one hearing the similarity? It really feels like both artists were drawing from the same references. What exactly, I have no idea Space Tribe — Tantra Mantra (1996) Tristan — Close Zen Counters (1996)
  5. V A S T — Free Tibet (2021). Track from 1996 | Also known as Area 51 — Free Tibet Classic floating goa trance, higly recomended
  6. Track Aminate FX Vs. Alysium – Hypnotic Goa Life from VA - Goa Trance Vol 3 (1998) also known as Sphinx & Joking – Goa System from VA - Goa Trance Vol 2 (1998) Both tracks were written by Ingmar Veeck. He has dozens of projects under different names and released music on T.R.N.C. compilations. Here’s some info from Discogs: It might give the impression that his output is comparable to the kind of low-effort knockoffs produced by The Asylum, a studio known for piggybacking on popular film franchises. But that’s not really the case — every now and then, Ingmar Veeck comes up with genuine gems. The two tracks below are proof of that. In fact, the tracks are essentially identical — it’s the same piece released under different names. The label churned out so many aliases and titles that they eventually got completely tangled up in them themselves. For me, this is one of my all-time favorite Goa trance tracks. The melody is incredibly catchy and really sticks in your head 🙂 The track is instantly recognizable as soon as you hear it. The problem with many modern tracks is that they’re just not memorable at all. Aminate FX Vs. Alysium – Hypnotic Goa Life (1998) Sphinx & Joking – Goa System (1998)
  7. Both tracks written by Gilbert Thévenet aka Martin Cooper. Orion In Maroc (2001) is a remix of Orion (1997) Red Aum — Orion (1997) | length 08:44 Asia 2001 — Orion In Maroc (2001) | length 09:32
  8. Talamasca - Aries (2003)
  9. Rarity from Joti Sidhu aka Psychaos Human League — These Are The Days (Sonic Radiation) also known as Human League – These Are The Days (R.A.J/ Joti Sidhu Remix) (1995)
  10. Logic Bomb — Desires (2001)
  11. Trinodia & Judaika — Enlightened Moon (2013)
  12. Intriga — Awake (2009)
  13. The Deviant - S.T.C. (1997) Total Eclipse — Kikamboot (1997)
  14. Astrancer - Maelstrom The guitars come in somewhere closer to the end of the track, but they fit perfectly.
