Nervasystem - Brainradio jumps to mind before all else. The sounds he created are so textured, original, and full of depth, almost on par I'd say with Autechre's newer albums.

K712 are junk and they sound very mediocre. The Fostex are around that price and sound much better. Jump up in price some and I'd agree Trance there that the LCD-2 are great. I've got LCD-2C, and aside from weight they're super. Never heard Shure, but yes have heard that they're weak in the low end.

If we're getting into a headphone conversation, I keep coming back to Fostex TH-X00 Purpleheart for electronic music. I've got a respectable stable of expensive headphones, the Fostex can do no wrong.

I ordered August 29th so something went wrong. Pretty frustrating, I want to hear that Hallucinogen track.

Dig up a fourteen year old thread that's ridiculous on any timeline ($22K headphone setup revolving around the k1000 with an $11K power cord that supposedly reveals new layers of bass??? Big lol) by mistake and post something not so relevant into it, only to later realize your mistake. This is my favorite thing on the internet right now.

I hate to do this, but anyone hear from draeke recently? I sent him a PM that has gone unread for a week or so. Just curious where my copy of ZNA might be, as it seems many people have received theirs already.

Even with the slight mixup, it's very appreciated that you release these digitally on bandcamp. -
Poll: How often do you go to goa/psy parties?
Grayling replied to Aspartic's topic in General Psytrance
Add me to the list of old men with children who lives in the middle of nowhere. My wife would never go even if there was opportunity. -

It's released on bandcamp. Sounds great! https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com In true form, antic604 bought it within five minutes of release Anyone know if this was made using analogue gear, digitally, or a combination? -
WHO IS COMING TO SHPONGLES LAST EVER LIVE SHOW??
Grayling replied to technosomy's topic in General Psytrance
haha enjoy Colorado. It is indeed nice there, but too crowded for my liking anymore. You'll see. -
I hadn't listened to this for sixteen years until today. Totally excellent dark progressive house/trance tracks, and a mix that really goes on a journey.

WHO IS COMING TO SHPONGLES LAST EVER LIVE SHOW??

Oh, stay off east Colfax Ave. Unless you're into armed robberies, crackheads, thugs, rough prostitutes, and murder. The Ogden is there, and yeah it can be a little sketchy at night. -

Red Rocks is in Morrison, so Dinosaur Ridge is worth seeing if you want to check out fossilized dino footprints. I saw them nearly 25 years ago and still distinctly remember what they look like, they left that much of an impression on me. The Denver Art Museum is pretty nice. The Natural History Museum (or whatever they call it these days) and the Denver Zoo are collocated and both worth seeing, and they're basically downtown so you can visit 16th street mall or the capitol afterwards. If you're downtown, D'Corazon Mexican Restaurant is really good. I'd recommend going to Twist and Shout Records if you're into indy, rock, classical, or metal music, but if you're mainly into electronic music it's not worth the trip. Denver's music scene is huge, so there might be concerts worth seeing besides Shpongle. Check listings for Ogdon Theater, Blue Bird Theater, Mammoth Event Center (nm, it closed). There might be new venues in addition to these, but these were the best back in the day. If you're into the outdoors, I'd strongly recommend getting up into the mountains. Clear Creek Canyon is nearby and worth exploring. Mount Evans, one Colorado's 14kft peaks, is an hour and a half away and can be driven up (the highest paved road in North America). It's totally worth doing if you've never been up a mountain that high. Lots of the mountain stuff I like doing is up north closer to Boulder (Flatirons, El Dorado Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park, etc) which is a few hours away through dense traffic. After reading my recommendations, I realize that I'm officially in "dad" status. I don't know any clubs or bars because I moved away when I was 19. -

I was born and raised in Denver, and I currently live only 12 hours away. But I'll be on a military deployment and can't go -

I've got excess money for music, just not $22 for one album. I bought five used albums for $30 the other day. Ballin! Man, I was out in your neck of the woods last week, I could have swung by and picked that CD up. (Oh, and are you serious? There isn't too much music right now??? I guess if you only listen to goa trance then that might be the case, but throw in a few other genres and it quickly becomes more than any normal person can afford.)

Some sounds are a tad generic, some are pretty awesome. I might end up preferring his normal (somewhat unique) style over this. -

Are the tracks arranged in any particular order? Samples sound very worthwhile, I'm sure the tracks in full are amazing.- 34 replies
