Dragon Twins - Foster (Psynews Contest Entry)
Manuser replied to Djuna's topic in Free Music Promotion
Nice track. -
Very nice I like the melody at the 2 minutes mark.

Oh, probably my favourite Sandman track, epic ending especially. And notice how this tracks sounds, can't help to think Infected mushroom were influenced by Sandman to make their first tracks. 8,5/10. Next one (another Dark Soho track 'Long way home') https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDYN6X7dygA

Psychopod vs. Derango, basically. I enjoy it a lot even though it can get a bit overwhelming at times. Really crazy music.

Hi draeke, on the first page there was a user whos name was "bpm" and he was in love with that track like a few here. So I contacted him via his hotmail email address posted in his profile. I was susprised to see he answered really quickly. So here is what he wrote: I then asked him if he was really sure it was the track of the video, memory can be altered especially 8 years later, but he seems to have really clear memory of the track: Apparently he lost his password to post here so I post for him, he is confident it is the track you were all looking for

Tracks and albums that are like watching a movie
Manuser replied to pdinklag's topic in General Psytrance
Yeah Darshan, Fragletrollet are strong choices. And don't forget Planet BEN - Trippy future garden!!! -
"In my hands" is definitely a wonderful track, beautiful track and beautiful album, very relaxing. A really pleasant experience, especially from track 4 till the end. That is one of the most melancholic and deepest progressive trance/house I have heard. Highly recommended.

Always liked Darshan, but also always prefered his not too fast tracks (Duck is an exception). Anyway, very charachteristic dark Darshan sound, it never really fails! 7/10. ..Next (very oldschool track Polyploid - Church of tangent):

Battle of the future buddhas - Primetimeslime

Well, to be honest I never heard the track when it was posted back in 2008, but anyway I love this unreleased track. I am confused though. By reading the old comments, it would be "a crazy goa track", "japanese goa", but the track above is not really goa trance. But indeed it has all the elements described earlier (flutes, tribal feel). There is a track by Jikooha which has the same flute sample in the intro, and tribal chants as well. And it was released in 2008 the same year the original video was posted, but I would be surprised if it was this one since it was released in the Jikooha album. Anyway that track name is "red road". It sounds like "crazy goa" but a bit slow. Any track can be pitched up though.

Track 5 Nanobots sounds so close to Dimension 5 - The Y principle, if you like that track check Nanobots. I agree the closing track is beautiful. Vortex is awesome, the whole thing is psychedelic and well produced. IMO it is better, more mature than Hunab Ku.

E-Mantra has one of the most charismatic sound ever in this scene. My problem? It is too repetitive. If I pick a random track here and listen to it loud, I will love it (any of them). the synths are terrific, basslines powerful and this is so hypnotic and psychedelic. By far among the young artists the most psychedelic sound since I dunno, Psychopod or Ka-sol. So my problem is when you listen to these 9 tracks in a row. They all follow more or less the same formulas and it gets exhausting for me. The way the tracks are built reminds me how Ka-sol produces his tracks, usually very short intro and hardly any rest from the first minute to the last. I think E-Mantra is so skillful that he could produce the best goa trance ever if their was more variation and more memorable melodies. I think I am demanding with E-Mantra because I love his sound signature. For me this is still circa 7/10 but could easily get to 9/10 if these nine tracks did not sound so similar. I never heard this outdoor on loud speakers but I can imagine how great it might sound.

For some reason I did not listen to this album until today, and with all the hype around it I was afraid to be disappointed, but I was not at all! Great work really. Neogoa has delivered all year!

Well apart from the " Muses Rapt " album that I mentioned earlier (I know you don't like it, I don't like it much either except for two tracks) I can also guarantee that " Microcosm - Higher levels " has no vocal either. It is downloadable for free here http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/microcosm-higher-levels As you mentioned Hunab Ku, I think you should like this album, it is pure goa trance and sounds a bit like Dimension 5.

Imba ''serbian 604 revolution'' that trackname lol. I like the track a lot though I like a lot Blackstarrfinale, Cybernetika, and Kundalini (Fiery dawn), still have not listened to all though.

Totally agree with you.By the way Bill writes nice reviews, he is a bit less online lately but he was a review machine earlier this year and you can feel the passion through his reviews. But agree, people should not feel discourage by thinking we need 20 + lines texts. Sometimes when I notice an album from several years ago is missing, it is a good reason for me to start a topic and do a quick review (did one just yesterday), just so that people can be aware of the existence of this CD and perhaps they can write a longer review themself later on.
