  1. Discogs link: http://www.discogs.com/Ajja-Tulpa/release/3525373 Label: Peak Records Style: Psy-Trance 1 Bebopper 7:40 2 Rude Alert 6:59 3 Bazinga 8:19 4 Surge 7:03 5 iFriend 7:57 6 Sidewinder (Flying Mix) 8:02 7 Ingrained 7:22 8 Bayaya 7:05 9 Widdershins 7:15 10 Three Dots 8:01 Dark non-melodic psy-trance with rolling basslines, that is how this album can be described. No cheese here, loud groovy basslines and very good production. Remember the album Krumelur - Minimal animal, well that is different for sure mainly because of the full on basslines, but some effects used here are similar. Weaknesses: no real melody here, and all the tracks follow a similar formula. Strenghts: this is psychedelic and can kill on a dancefloor, for a DJ this is a serious and reliable weapon. The production is flawless, the mastering is perfect. Great attention to details, I actually listen to this at home with good headphones and this is very nice (a bit repetitive though, if you listen to the full disc). 2. Never knew there was a longer version of this, the 6.50 Live mix sounds great on VA Mind rewind 2, loud mastering though.
  3. First of all I would like to say that I am sad to see a fair reviewer like antic leave this place and asking to delete his account. I know lately psynews has been all about artists, labels and friends promoting their releases even in the review section (see the last Prana remixes CD in the review section), but we need fair reviewers like you, please if you read that, I hope you change your mind and asked to reactive your account otherwise sad news. I must confess I never heard of the track Sonic system and I am very impressed by the sample. And what to say...Maia, Electra and Asterope remastered! Maia officially the best goa trance track of all time Very happy to see Zeta reticuli and Jungle trax in the third disc.
  4. I really liked the Eat static album, but listen to it before buying, not everyone's cup of tea.
  5. No worries =) this remix is obscure, it is very likely that the track you heard was the original.
  6. Original is a huge classic. Remix by Massimo Vivona has a nice trance touch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg7Grul5yjo
  7. Adrenalin run remix is pretty good! Context of this discussion can be found here https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/58910-and-the-winner-is/ I strongly recommend you to grab some popcorn before entering the thread
  8. Overall agree with T2MU. It is a mixed bag. Nevertheless, a gem: track 2, VERY good track. Track 1 is a good opener, track 3 is nice as well. Track 4 is too cheesy, that sample in the middle ruins the track IMO, but the second part is better. I dig the collaboration with Somnesia, I find the track that follows quite boring. The fast track (track 8 ) well everything is good for me in that track except the speed, so I can't enjoy it. The slow track in the end is pretty cool! On the whole a pretty enjoyable album if you skip some parts of it.
  9. Agree about your whole review! about what I quoted, indeed as DarkAngel said above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s94-i4hMtjk An obscure german band who produced that nice album, poor mastering though. @Ohm Mind Congrats, very good one, one of my fav in 2015.
  10. (Steve Roach & Jeffery Fayman - In The Same Deep Water)...... Enjoy.
  11. In the top 20 of the greatest goa trance albums ever produced. One of these CDs that you can recommend to a friend who is new into the genre. Arsonik (Arsenic) and Code S9 (Luis) were released on vinyl in 1996 under the project Cypher-O http://www.discogs.com/Cypher-O-Arsenic/release/531263(remember the track Psychedelic Junglisita in VA Distance to goa 6, same project).
  12. I can not remember all tracks and obviously Liquid neon sky sounded good enough, but the nostalgic Hammerhead was ruined by a very bad (or absence of) mastering. This news really makes me happy, one of my favourite goa trance albums.
  13. Electric universe - Quasar, Boris Blenn on the full on side, I like Stardiver and other old stuff, the full on sound not so much. I can like some of it but this track is too harsh for me and nothing creative whatsoever. A 4/10 for me, sorry. Next a Dark Soho track from the album Combustion (The new age)
  14. And now the intro of this track sounds exactly like a track from a famous group, well easy to guess https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI_P9PxUg2U
  15. Not a fan of Goasia in general. Very trancy atmosphere but on the cheesy side, it is decent though on the whole I give it a 5.5/10......next a Ubar tmar track
  16. From my own experience of reading this forum since the early 2000, there is no difference Here is an example of a thread back in year 2002 https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/1950-best-old-school-tunes-for-party/ Read the answers you will know what I mean However the only annoying thing is when videos get deleted, that is why I always try to write the name of the track when I post a video.
  17. One of the coolest cover ever! The music is not bad even though tracks 1 and 2 don't do it for me, too dull but tracks 3 and 4 have more groove, a dark tech trance feeling and very trippy. Dark stuff for sure it was a nice listening overall.
  18. It is a quote from X-files but I can't find the name of the track. It sounds nice would be curious to know, did you post this at tranceaddict.com/forums?
  19. Future prophecy - Sunrise Listen and you will be able to find out by yourself which track they tried to copy
  20. This is not your typical 1997 release, certainly not goa trance I reckon this is one of these early psychedelic trance albums, I mean focus on heavy basslines and metallic sounds but pretty poor in melodies (the best melody in this album happens in the very short track and thats a pity). It sounds amateurish at times but it has its moments. The Wizard Demo did not grown too old to my ears it is still a track I enjoy a lot especially when played loud. Some other tracks are too poor to catch attention...Not everyone's cup of tea I guess, I give it a 5.5/10. Listen to it before you buy.
  21. You are right, it is Galactic discovery that I downloaded two years ago. The quality has improved since.
  22. I just listened to the whole thing and if you dig a wide range of different genres I don't think you can go wrong by getting this album, very solid stuff IMO. One of the best this year.
  23. To be fair he was bashed on a daily basis when posting here so I guess it had to happen at some point, him not posting anymore. I liked him.
