My bad, I misunderstood That's actually true, not my very favourite genre compared to psytrance but interesting enough and developing nicely.

How come a new member can tell psynews is dying ... hehe anyway for me a few reasons: - early 2000 when this forum was created (goatrance.free.fr if i remember correctly), psychedelic trance was still something fresh and still a recent genre, people got crazy about it - today's music is IMO not as interesting as the music in the 90's and early 2000 - even in the early 2000 there was lots of innovation and new genres created (tech trance, full on, darkpsy...), seen as good or bad according to people taste, but it made people discuss a lot - many people prefer the old school sound but it got discussed over and over again (radi getting bashed here for doing so 2 years ago)...(and getting bashed for creating these kind of topics by the way ^^ ) - psynews has became goanews, its all about goa trance while other genres get ignored (apart from chill out music) - something that has not been said yet: back in the days I felt people were more genuine in their reviews as I dont remember many artists and labels getting involved in the discussions (I don't think artists and labels should post in the review section anyway) - remember the golden age when new X-dream albums getting 5 pages of reviews? "its brilliant! 10/10" "it's crap 1/10" so yeah, anyway I still read and like this place, mainly for the review section, don't have much time lately unfortunately to review music myself.

01-N - Goa Memories EP (Timewarp Records)
Manuser replied to Nova Fractal's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I am surprised that no one commented on this I am not the best reviewer but you should definitely have a listen while it is available on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVewL5HLmt0 I think Takaski Oikawa has done a great job- 7 replies

"Quand à elle" is incorrect, we say "quant à elle" which explains why your translator screwed up "As for nitzhogoa, it would be born..." Agree with Ormion about Sandman (and I think Sandman definitely influenced Infected mushroom early tracks). Koxbox for me is goa but some Hallucinogen tracks definitely sound more psytrance, e.g. Snarling black mabel

Transwave - No regrets / Destiny [Joof Records]
Manuser replied to a topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Well it is like Protoculture who went from full on psytrance to euro trance, it is the same thing here. So if you don't like progressive euro trance you won't like this simple as that. No regrets sounds fine indeed. -
I was surprised too, by how bored I was when I listened to it last year. Then I noticed there was no review here and thought I should write one but I forgot about it. 1995 was long time ago but still that year there was fine music released (Koxbox Forever after and Etnica first album for instance, Juno reactor and Hallucinogen). This is considered to be a classic but it must be one of the most boring old school CD I have ever listened to, which makes the price asked on Discogs even more laughable. For collectors only. Not my cup of tea.

Most underground psytrance you ever listened to?
Manuser replied to Manuser's topic in General Psytrance
Best intro of all time too bad the rest of the track is subpar Make it a good remix and it would be the most beautiful trance track ever made Even the cover looks "underground" lol http://cdn.discogs.com/MQddTAIsIiOSgcID1jdsmhn29Bw=/fit-in/300x300/filters:strip_icc():format(jpeg):mode_rgb()/discogs-images/R-366091-1370956363-2313.jpeg.jpg -
Can't really ranked them but anyway something like: Chi-A.D., Planet BEN, Blue planet corporation, Darshan, Dark Soho.

Share your "embarrassing" tracks made by you
Manuser replied to Manuser's topic in General Psytrance
thanks for sharing it was fun listening to -
Oh how did we forget Planet BEN, totally agree with you they were ahead of their time and can be considered the pioneers in the genre, even though the album Trippy future garden is not 100% prog more like a mix of goa and /minimal prog but yeah I guess that was the first release (1996) that influenced the rest (Son kite, MOS, Atmos...)

Blue planet is certainly not prog, not sure where you got that from? (a typo? ) Agree about Headcleaner by Atmos, and before that: Son kite - Minilogue. Also, Intact instinct - Supply from below was released in 1999, it was a kind of dark prog (minimal) very nice album. XV Kilist also released an EP in 1999 http://www.discogs.com/XV-Kilist-Kante-Gummi/release/91819 Edit: just noticed your graph about the year of birth of each genre, I think Intact instinct - Supply from below http://www.discogs.com/Intact-Instinct-Supply-From-Below/master/74672definitely fits into what I would call "dark psyprog", so 1999 instead of 2000 for this genre. Thanks and nice work

This thread is to share any tracks produced by you in a non serious and totally amateur way So not necessary embarrassing but far from the standards of so called good psytrance or goa or whatever I start with this track produced with Reason 2.5 at least 12 years ago Feel free to share ^^

Awesome, thanks for sharing.

It is a nice track, it reminds me a bit the album of Neuromotor, know this album already I guess? The one with the track Fuck the mafia Trance XP

Some of the best works melody wise: Rank 1 - Black snow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BwPIOW1ttY The melody is truly special, i don't know if it was inspired by an existing song or anything, but no mention so I guess it is original - I am truly impressed by the melodic work here Jaccot - Mu-v express https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YURpdQuc1iU Truly underrated - Made by an spanish man, the sounds used remind me Veracocha Carte blanche, very touching melody Track sounds empty and simple but how can you disappoint with such an epic melody? Ferry Corsten - Sweet sorrow (Thrillseekers remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRhq0l1NDCo The melancholic and touching approach...what to say just to listen to the track, epic melody again Bobina - Invisible touch (Ferry Corsten touch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POGLKoYU5g4 Melancholic stuff and instant classic IMO Schiller - Ein shoner tag (Kaycee mischung) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBzjDk_p96U Ok this one is a bit special, it is based on the theme "Un bel di vedremo" from the opera "Madame Butterfly", there is a long build up and the trance melody that follows is really uplifting Nice work There are of course many more, but just 5 in top of my head right now that really deserve a mention.

and how about this old trance? sounds VERY old (and nice, I can't keep smiling so good memories from this time) Nostrum Blow Back

Some agressive twisted psytrance, works fine for me as it gets very psychedelic at the end ... 7.5/10 Next: Junk Project ''Tongasine''
