  1. You guys made me curious so i just listened to Oforia Soil, melancholic maybe because it can subjective, yet i can't believe you wrote "one of the darkest ambient tracks know to exist" Are you sure you didn't mix up with another track ?
  2. We know that but since radi asked for "ambient" tracks similar to "Jaïa - After the rain", we all tried to give examples of tracks fitting in the same category. One of my fav ambient artists include Thom Brennan or Steve Roach but that's not similar to the Jaïa track.
  3. this track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhFzc62gtWI and this track (although less melancholic IMO) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JpnCRJkCaw
  4. No weakness in this double CD album, everyone should have this. 9/10 ALL TIME CLASSIC.
  5. Well i got 1 friend who really likes goa/psytrance and 1 who doesn't mind it and will like some tracks because he's into electronic in general. so that's 2 and perhaps 3 if i count my brother that's all. My wife doesn't mind it, but for her every track sound the same ...she sometimes likes when i put downtempo like Total eclipse CD2.
  6. I'll listen to these specific tracks again then i'm happy you mentionned Live never sleeps, my favourite track of yours!
  7. Great point Lemmiwinks. Back then you could have the track Hallucinogen - Snakey shaker together with Pleiadians - Asterope in the same compilation http://www.discogs.com/Various-A-Taste-Of-Dragonfly-Volume-3/release/121849 Today it's impossible. Back then one would say "my favourite track is Mahadeva" Today one will say "my favourite artist is Filteria" and "Mahadeva" sounds totally different to "Flying into the stars" which specific Filteria track sounds different to the others? I used to love compilations more than albums back then because of that, but now album or compilation doesn't matter, too much homogenization IMO. Like said above there are exceptions of course like Mind rewind or Tribal encore. But Mind rewind contains lots of "old" tracks Apart from that, yes modern goa is still great.
  8. I love Darshan but it's weird, I can't imagine many artists to collaborate with because the sound is so unique (i am talking about the Awakening sound) (yeah tracks like Duck, Navigator sound more agressive ) Maybe with X-dream (tracks Do you believe, Rain), or the old dark Astral projection (tracks like Andromeda or Flying into the stars combined with a Darshan 's awakening touch, lovely)... Really nice, probably better without Xenomorph ? Orichalcum, yummy. Just makes me think: Toi doi + Orichalcum sounds like a winner, i love both styles (Toi doi's technologic style obviously) Dark Soho + Miranda could be great, because Miranda knew how to make dark stuff (remember the track Real rush?) Asia 2001 + Bypass unit + Cyan : interesting i guess, for something a bit cheesy lol and i think Planet BEN + Elysium would be interesting. I can't find many artists to combine with Elysium style because it's unique but Planet BEN tracks like Welcome to the future, Ant invasion, this kind of style could match perfectly, lovely collab IMO
  9. cool thanks Rot I thought the name of the page was Tranan > Restarter > Solstice now it's Tranan - Restarter - Solstice so I guess the greater-than sign was the problem...
  10. http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php/topic/28577-tranan-%26gt%3B-restarter-%26gt%3B-solstice/ or maybe it's me, the page won't open
  11. Paradise connection is brilliant. Electric universe released a few great tracks but lots of forgettable ones (and i am not talking about his full on sound, i won't comment on it).
  12. Haha yes i do agree. About E-mantra, I like his style, i think it's very unconventional and psychedelic that's why i like it but i can understand some don't. About old school artist, always the same list for me: The infinity project Doof Electric Universe The infinity project released loads of track, i'm not saying they are bad but none is unforgettable, my favourite being probably The world of the acid dealer. I guess TIP is more famous for the label anyway ? Doof, i can't get the hype, it's personal taste of course, the music is just boring ..nothing to add really Electric Universe, as i do recognize the talent, he produced way too many fillers IMO. One can also say that about Miranda, honestly Miranda's music is like 80% of fillers for me. About current artists: Filteria of course. Lost in the wild is a brilliant album, that changed my opinion about Filteria but everything released before this was not my cup of tea at all.
  13. Moonweed just WOW!! one of the most underrated artist and among the most psychedelic I reckon.
  14. I like your second supergroup Richpa! Some good ones i think: 1 - Chi-A.D + Blue planet corporation + Jaïa : just imagine how it could sound, pure melodic morning trance 2 - Koxbox + Hallucinogen + Juno reactor = for something really complex and psychedelic while Juno reactor would add something more tribal 3 - Battle of the future buddhas + Fragletrollet + Ubar tmar : dark madness 4 - Dimension 5 + Astral projection + Zirrex : pure goa Nice topic
  15. yes i remember this album got some killer tracks, very acid, great stuff ! also i'll add "Aural planet - Part second"
  16. Yeah indeed to be honest i am not a specialist of the question at all, but this track from X-dream really amazes me how clear it sounds, i can't believe it was made in 1996, just incredible! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq8ROlyHnzc
  17. received as well, many thanks!!
  18. So which track specifically is similar to AP radi ? The only vibrating synth you are talking about could be in BRAINSTORM and could be similar to the one used in STILL ON MARS ? that's the only similarity i can find.
  19. Oh by the way, awesome morning track that is... "Rebirth" check it out, unknown gem.
  20. Jaja Mjranda, Etnjca and Mystjca kiss ass
  21. Yes we had this thread before...3 that come to my mind straight away: Battle of the future Buddhas - Domestic bliss Battle of the future Buddhas - Lord of the dance Space tribe - Ultraviolet catastrophe
  22. French open of tennis 25th of may and then Football World cup, best time of the year ! According to bookmakers, Brazil are the favourites Brazil 3.85 Argentina 5.61 Germany 6.43 Spain 7.29 Since i bet a lot these last 3 years, I find the odds of Brazil incredibly low, so i guess everything possible will be made to let them win the world cup if you know what i mean Bookies also consider the fact that the world cup being played in south america will not favour european teams at all, i am surprised to see Argentina as the second favourite here?? Like you Richpa, I thought Germany would be the favourite of this competition. I got the feeling this world cup will be something special (and am afraid of things going bad outside the stadiums...)
