I find the album pretty good and enjoyable. Except track 8 which is pointless in my opinion. But on the whole, first i was surprised by the quiet-sounding of this album, compared with Synergy (the absolute masterpiece of these guys ... well i dislike the 'masterpiece' word in psytrance, but for sure the fantastic album that was, especially with 'higher access' track), so yes i was surprised by the tracks that sound light, quiet, but yes nicely melodic (i never heard Intergalactic so i can't compare). So, not a killer and full of crazy twisted sounds CD, but a good one, especially when you listen to it today, I think it is quality, even if it doesn't really amaze you.

Since nobody mentioned this album yet, and that is my favourite of 2005, i will recommend, again, Drone - 23 days, especially with 2 very hypnotic tracks, the whole album combines dark and bright atmospheres. H I G H L Y recommended (at least by me : ) )

Different people different taste, well when i was discovering goa trance i was totally in love with this old school style, Astral projection, Hallucinogen, Man with no name, MFG, Oforia .... .... but now it's been like 6 years i discovered it, and it is obvious that i want to listen to other styles of psytrance. I talk about me, but it is normal and i am sure it is the case of some people here. By the way : - i am not really into full on, even if i like some of it. - i don't think almost all members here are full on lovers.

I don't know how many times I listened to this compilation. This is the first goa trance Cd i ever bought, so it is very special to me : ) and even though i listened to the tracks too much, this is one of the few CDs i will never sell. Well never... who knows... Look : in the same CD, Mahadeva, Goaway, and Y-salem. The Mystica's track, it is really different from what we can hear in Age to Innocence, and it is a special track to me, as well as Alala by California sunshine. Mahadeva and Goaway, nothing to say, but the true special track to me is SFx - Y-salem : it is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated trance tracks i have heard, or perhaps people don't feel the same as me when they listen to this track. I find it beautiful, pure, and really emotional, even today. So, if you can find this CD, by chance on second hand, it is your luck!

Howling at the moon is close to perfection, really. What an intense track! and what a great climax, crazy! i m p r e s s i v e.

Cujorius one - Creating a second sun maybe, dark and light music.

Other tracks I like from them... Cycles of life, nice track as it was said above, and Malaka dance.

Cosmo, nice review : ) as far as i am concerned, i talked about the tracks i like the most, indeed a lot of people find Moon cake to be one of the best tracks of the album, it is not my case but it is a good opener. Bombed out : agree, i could have mentioned it since it is a very good one, a bit darkish compared with other tracks in the album... And about Mind to mind i am not so fond of this kind of ambientish goa trance, i prefer my ambient being "pure" ambient, i don't really like tracks between goa and real ambient, i find them uninteresting, but well that is a matter of taste. By the way, i gave 9/10, the best way here is to rate the whole album without rating each track separately, indeed it is a real conceptual album i would say, and i also forgot to mention a very good point that is the transitions between the tracks, they are excellent : )

I didn't listen to all their tracks, far from it, but among the ones i gave a listen i would say Phototropic maybe, it is a really sweet track, and underrated in my opinion.

Dimension 5 - Second phaze - Global trance network - 2000 01 Moon Cake 02 Limitless Dimension (Gate 3 Mix) 03 Beyond the Stars 04 Bombed Out 05 Transformation 06 The Y Principle 07 Polaris 1 08 Polaris 2 09 Mind to Mind I want to share my enthusiasm about this album : ) Second phaze is a really solid goa trance album, with real cohesion and consistency from the beginning till the end. What I like : Light and floating psychedelic sounds, melodic atmospheres, quite discrete rhythms, lots of melodies which make the track by themselves, and above all perfectly controlled music, it never goes too far, you can rest and breathe listening to this CD. The tracks are less spectacular and slower than the ones on the previous album (Harmonic convergence, Deep space 5D, Utopian dream, etc.), and it took me more time to fully appreciate this album compared with Transdimensional. Highlights, according to me : 02 - Limitless dimension (Gate 3 mix), it is better than the original, more energetic, more acid and more mature also, without removing the emotional touch. Really really nice! 03 - Beyond the Stars , a perfect example of how uplifting and controlled emotional goa trance can sound. 05 - Transformation, I listened to this one so many times and I still like it a lot! A pure melodic uplifting goa trance track, with two homogenous melodies. It could sound a bit too repetitive for some people but not for me. Beautiful, emotional trance here. 06 - The Z principle, told by many people as the best track of the album, it took me more time to fully appreciate it. It is the fastest track of the CD, and I would say the most twisted and psychedelic, the less morning also. Certainly a track to play at outdoor parties! 08 - Polaris 2, morning track again, bright and clever, mindblowing, fully melodic and optimistic, in the same style as tracks 3 and 5 I would say. Dreamy and, B e a u t i f u l... one of the best tracks of the album, if not the best. On the whole, I am really impressed by the cohesion in this album, it sounds homogenous, though there are darker tracks like tracks 6 and 7, but always melodic, and i would of course recommend this CD for its uplifting, floating and optimistic atmospheres.

Danny Rampling 1 : 0.00 : Sure it is Man with no name, like Ktrance said it is not Vavoom but another one, i am sure a lot of people might know it. Maybe Floor Essence indeed (?) 5.15 : Dreadzone - One Way (Man With No Name Mix) around 30.00 : I can recognize Sourmash - The blessing (In disguise) with the samples "whoo ooh"... Deep trance 2 : around 3.00 : agree with Cosmogenesis, the track is Shakta - Lepton head, but if you can listen to the Deedrah remix do it, because it is much better. I can't help more now, good luck!

Asura - Raindust Anyone who has never heard this track really misses something.

Indeed we could have expected a better CD. I enjoy tracks 2, the end of track 7 and track 9 (nice one) but some tracks tend to be too repetitive and lack of hypnotic atmospheres, on the whole the rhythm + the basslines are not catchy or entrancing. Result : it is a bit dry and tasteless, melodic and very sunny though. A CD to listen to doing something else, driving or whatever, but quite boring otherwise, even if some tracks are nice, but not most of them.

I can recommend you Liquid mind, it is beatless and really melodic, above all the first three albums, but it is not psychedelic but really relaxing, no rhythm at all.

I have to agree with Deepdrone, you call this a melody? This is not a melody. By the way, this track is impressive indeed, but if you want melodies look elsewhere.

Yes, i always thought this track sounded more Pleiadians than Etnica. This track rocks, really!
