  1. oui bien sûr ce serait avec plaisir
  2. Have to agree with this one, and also with Tatsu, the track u recommended sounds nice to me. It reminds me a bit Jaïa - Rebirth, a track i have too recommend to if you can find it
  3. So we agree to say that the emotions expressed by the 2 styles are not the same. I love "eurotrance" as we call it here because it often expresses emotions like happiness, and not often the same happiness as it is expressed in goa trance. I think people who don't like eurotrance for example simply are not sensitive to the emotions it want to express, and same with any style of music.
  4. Saul Stokes? never heard, thanx for the recommendation
  5. no... when i listen to melodic trance like Above & beyond, Airwave, Hiver & Hammer, Ferry Corsten, etc etc (just examples) i can hear much more melodies than in today's psytrance, and it brings me more emotions than psytrance, so your statement is subjective. OK, the tracks sound more simple but who cares, as long as it is good music. And this is the only kind of trance which can really touch me. And of course the melodies sound really coherent, sometimes simple but coherent, whereas a lot of psytrance melodies can be made at random. Yes i composed some psytrance tracks and a psytrance melody is easy to make by itself, the more difficult is to find the good sound and the good effects. About complexity, yes psytrance is more complex, but does it mean it is good music? i prefer a coherent but simple track that a track full of random sounds and effects... so, je ne suis pas d'accord avec toi, it is subjective.
  6. Just wanted to recommend this album, as i know there are some people here who are into the "true" ambient music. Exuviae - Echoes in the emptiness The album is just magical, dreamy, and really mind-blowing... 2 reviews : http://213.225.120.134/reviews/reviews/Exu..._Emptiness.html http://www.spiderbytes.com/ambientrance/exu-eite.htm you can't be disappointed
  7. Download Acoustica MP3 audio mixer, you can make samples easily with this
  8. I like this EP a lot, particularly Jungle trax, what an entertaining and catchy track
  9. No, but i didn't know they could make trance like this, because it's different from Burning up (to give an example). Anyway, my mistake, and i am surprised (pretty good track by the way).
  10. I particularly like Never ever land for its hard snares and basslines contrasted with a nice and optimistic atmosphere. In Dancing with Kadafi you can hear all their talent, even though during the last minutes they loose the control of the track changing the direction variating emotions too much.
  11. +1 and about the track Human evolution by Human evolution, i have it and i don't think any MFG or Astral projection are involved in it.
  12. One more vote for Pleiadians, i was just listening to Modulation today and what a great track..
  13. I had a listen to your track, it is well made indeed, dark but a bit too industrial for me (it is a matter of taste). The bassline is really impressive, but too loud in my opinion. Otherwise, good work, nice atmosphere, and it reminds me the kind of tracks my brother used to make (and it is a compliment )
  14. Dimension 5 - Trance express - D5 - 1995 Format: 12" A - Trance Xpress (9:26) Sample B1 - Trancefix (9:28) Sample B2 - Cranial Meltdown (8.08) Sample Very oldschool trance from one of the best goa trance producers ever in my opinion; this 12" was released before their 2 great albums, Transdimensional and Second phaze. The first track, "Trance express", tries to entrance you, it really reminds old trance music by its structure. It is repetitive though there is a kind of progression in the track. The rhythm is old and simple, with a delay on the kickdrum, the background is really melodic but there is no distinctive long melodies in it. This is a bit too long in my opinion. Decent track. 2nd track, "Trancefix", follows the same formula, dry rhythm, dry snares, the track sounds even more repetitive than the first one. It contains some acidish trance lines and a basic sound that repeats and repeats itself through the whole track. Some people could find this track annoying, again it sounds really old, but the atmosphere is happy and optimistic. Ok track. 3rd track, "Cranial Meltdown", is slower than the 2 previous ones. The melodies are longer but boring, and there is an omnipresent trance sound that makes the track annoying. The whole track really let me cold, I don't recognize Dimension 5 in this track. Disappointing. To conclude, yes it is Dimension 5, but the tracks can surprise by their oldsounding, their simplicity, their poverty. There is a lack of "liquid" sounds, the poor rhythms and lack of powerful basslines make the tracks pretty dull. The two first tracks are Ok, while the last one sounds uninteresting. It didn't let presage such an amazing album 2 years after, Transdimensional, except maybe the first track which is the best among the three in my opinion. ...nevertheless, I guess that is a precious 12" for any goa collectors.
