Fart Oo Loud rock.

Green Nuns focking ROCK live, I've seen them 3 times in the last few years. One set was a bit too playback for me but whenever possible they do get the kit out and show some proper skills; with a session guitarist and a session keyboard player in the band it would be a crying shame for them not to.

I still have hopes for Boom 2010

Those pro-lifers don't go far enough I reckon. Masturbation is murder.

Interesting track, I like its experimental nature. However even MAX won't let you use frequencies above 20KHz in CD-quality audio or MP3s

Not at home so don't have SX in front of me now so please forgive any incorrect terminology... There are two reasons why this might be happening. 1) Incorrect snap point on audio event: Each audio event has a 'snap point', which defines the location within the event which will be aligned with the grid when the event is either quantised or moved. The snap point is shown as a vertical line on the event with an 'S' in the middle. Normally when you import or create a new audio file or event the snap point is at the very beginning of the event but you can move it by dragging it, in which case the next time you snap or quantise the event to the grid, the beginning of the event will appear to be out of alignment. You can only see the snap point at certain levels of zoom, and you need to be looking directly at the audio event, ie. you can't see it in the arrange window if the event is inside an audio part. It's possible you may have moved the snap point without realising it. 2) Cubase has a bug: When exporting audio back into the arrange window it is vital to remember that Cubase does not always export the length it is asked to; in fact I'm not sure if it ever does. The way around this is to put the event inside a part as soon as it has been exported, and drag the end of the part out and back so you're absolutely sure it ends exactly on a bar (or beat, or whatever is most appropriate). Then when you duplicate the audio part many times you can be sure it won't gradually go out of sync with the rest of the track. I think it's most likely that you've discovered problem 2) here...

Wow, cool, we're glad you guys like it! Serguei - I'd be really interested in reading your review if you still want to write one. The date isn't finalised yet but keep an eye out for it at Boom... BTW Isratrance seems to be a little slower to pick up on it so if anyone wants to er actually no, don't worry

Why the fuck is "slydixea" such a goddam difficult word to spell? It's a conspiracy, I tell you!

Congrats Aaron, you won't regret it. This link might prove useful: http://www.electro-music.com/forum/index.p...579d9426a49de4c Don't forget to download the patch library! Quick tip: you've probably already worked this out but you'll probably need to set your processor scheduling to "Programs" temporarily when you start the editor and connect it to the NM1, then turn it back to "Background Services" when you've got them talking. -
Mental.

High all! Here's a live set which we recorded this February at Club V-SO in Martigny, Switzerland. It's 2 hours long @ 320Kbps, and contains quite a few tracks from our forthcoming album "Fourthought". Hope you enjoy it! http://mastering.psytunes.info/OOOD/OOOD_L..._-_22-02-08.mp3

Ghost Sound at start of mix down
Colin OOOD replied to frosty's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Yeah Ableton can do this, and I think maybe Acid (although I haven't used it fo ages). Are you using either of these programs? If so you should be able to remove the sound just by un-ticking the "Render as loop" box. -
A few artists are jumping on the Electro bandwagon because it means they get more gigs in Brazil. I know Hujaboy also plays electro rather than trance over there, and I've heard about a few more acts that have specific sets for that country. It's often a purely commercial decision IMO.

Depends on the soundcard; if it allows its DSP to be used as plugins in the regular insert chain then it'll probably allow you to bounce down offline. Cards that rely on your routing stuff manually like Scope or my old DS2416 tend to restrict you to online mixdowns.

?? Theoretically a good soundcard will let you hear deeper into the mix, provide a more stable stereo image, give lower latency (very useful when tweaking parameters to know that what you're hearing represents the position of the control right now rather than 1/2 a second ago) and generally enable a given engineer to produce a better-sounding final result than a cheap crappy noisy soundcard. Of course the audio doesn't pass through it if you're bouncing down offline (but then many producers have to bounce down in realtime, eg. if they're using their soundcard's onboard DSP for FX).
