Unlikely I reckon. I don't think Rewire can pass audio both ways down the pipe... although I'm prepared to be proved wrong (Ableton?)

Proper proper modular. Patches with cables and everything. Including staring at the editor for an hour wondering why the fuck your patch isn't making any sound at all.

Apparently there is a way to use the Rebirth Input Machine as an external input to Reason for other audio, possibly even over Rewire. You need some extra software to do it though. I saw it on the Farm before it shut down but never downloaded it.

Keep an eye out for secondhand Ensoniq EPS16 PLUS samplers, or the ASR10 rackmount version. You can do transwave synthesis with samples on those... making twisted fucked up melodic lead sounds out of drumloops is one speciality. It's all over our first two albums - it's difficult to program but recommended.

Yup. He hedged his words but he was pretty unambiguous. Said I was 'begging for groupies' here. He sent PMs to me on Isra and Psy-Forum saying he was going to come round; obviously I discussed it with the other psy-forum mods, and between us we found an address (in Portsmouth) and phone number for him from his website domain and forum registration details. Obviously he may have moved since then but should he try anything he won't be difficult for the police to trace now we have a starting point. We've got the IP addresses of all his posts too, which his ISP will be able to resolve to a physical address should the need arise.

It would be thumb and middle or 4th finger, with a few exceptions for scales with a lot of black notes.

Actually I take it back; I can't find the scale that makes that hand-position necessary. Shit... how sad are we, discussing the melody being played in an advertising photo...
