  1. You're funny! No, the artwork isn't by Dali.
  2. Power is easy. IMO, what Posford has that many other artists do not, especially today, is subtlety.
  3. Just look for the dreads and the little goatee and Simon P trailing after me asking for autographs...
  4. One or two tracks will, maybe... Taking the whole album into consideration though, the answer is a resounding 'no'.
  5. If you're talking about a PA system, yes. If you're talking about a Personal Appearance by an artist, it means something else...
  6. I can't believe no-one's mentioned Hardfloor - Acperience 2 yet. Three 303s and a 909, as the Lord Hoffman intended them to be. Grant (Darshan) has a Borg.
  7. Could be anything. Personally I'd suggest a listen to this, but them I would, wouldn't I.
  8. I'll be there, I think... VoC is playing in Reading the night before though so I might be a little worse for wear!
  9. wow Seraph, thankyou very much - very flattering... I'll tell the lads! It would be a fair amount of work to remaster the album (although I did design some new artwork for it a few years ago as people still as us for copies now and again) but if enough people were to express an interest I'd definitely consider it. What's more exciting to me though is the prospect of re-engineering some of the tracks on that album (and others from the Time of Good Trance) and bringing them bang up-to-date production-wise but without fiddling with the writing/arrangement at all. We've already remixed Kundalini a couple of times and Silence, Spangled, Otherworld and perhaps a couple of others are also on the list. It's a question of time and priorities - I've got a couple of projects on the go as it is right now.
  10. It actually sounds great. Tron's a very talented guy and really knows how to twist your head. As soon as we've got the OOOD album out of the way I'm going to start work on a remix of Infinity.
  11. Stuart. He has plans for something similar soon, I believe.
  12. This might be a good point to mention that if you own a PSP and Wipeout Pure, you can download edits of two of the Voice of Cod album tracks from the Sony website and play them in the game.
  13. http://www.discogs.com/release/147473 Tempo - 148bpm Running 16th bassline - check Bassline avoids kickdrum hits - check Swept-sine kickdrum - check Screechy goa lead - check Zappy noises - check Indian-sounding gated singing - check Full on?
  14. There would be fewere new labels that release what everyone else is releasing if the LABELS had some fvcking QUALITY CONTROL and didn't license whatever CRAP tune some newbie producers send them just to provide FILLER for the 2 tracks on the CD by BIG NAME ARTISTS, which are all they can afford because the big name artists (especially if they're Israeli) will charge a massive advance, leaving absolutely NO budget to pay advances (or even fvcking ROYALTIES ) to the other producers on the CD, which means that usually a beginner label CANNOT release a VA that contains 100% quality tunes. IMO.
  15. Current opinion (from people whose opinions I trust) is that with complex material, Ableton Live is about as good as it gets. Try the new Complex warp mode in v5.
  16. It works It's an interesting thing but not wholly useful for making anything other than basic waveforms. Not something to spend a long time in front of IMO - braindrilling stuff.
  17. Dunno if mine fit in this topic as there's no full tracks to download on our websites (find them all on p2p though!) but here they are: http://www.voiceofcod.com http://www.triskelemanagement.com/oood.html
  18. BTW, the bassline in that classic piece of 80s pop was done on a Roland TB303.
  19. There's a little box under the window where you choose the 'Open with...' program that says "always use this program to open this type of file". Try ticking it and see what happens. Also, you can use the "File Types" tab in the Folder Options section of the Tools menu in Windows Explorer to get more detailed control over file associations but this is much more complicated.
  20. Not really, but then I'm not the world's best DJ. When a difficult mix comes together though it does give me a feeling of accomplishment similar to that which I get when I pull off a particularly neat piece of sonic trickery in a tune.
  21. Ah, but the phrase "There's an art to making an exhibition out of a collection of paintings" makes sense, no?
  22. Well I don't know mate, I'm not privy to his innermost thoughts. Like I said, try asking him directly. I'd guess that he still has lots of ideas, as he's working on different collaborations, but I'd also guess that he doesn't feel pressure from people like you or me to jump through hoops just because everyone else is writing rubbish music.
