Arronax replied to Imba's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Yeah, I wish we could come and perform at Ozora, but OZORA's line up has been probably locked months ago. Anyway, Thank you for your interest in our album Imba will represent us in Belgium as a live act, unfortunately we won't all be able to come as there are 4 of us in the crew -
Great review, like always from Mike I always LOL, because his writing style is unique I literally laughed out loud at the "racist card" remark

Same here We'll get them soon don't worry -
True. I was just trying to suggest that people who like Goa and have spare money should buy CDs if they are available. That's why I said it "may" help the artists, but usually the major profit comes from gigs, I agree. It's also logical, because some artists release their work only once in a few years, while they perform at big festivals and parties like every month or so...

I totally agree with that. I would buy a file but only if it was for extremely cheap price, since I'm paying for thin air basically CD is something always worth having, at least in my shelf as a reminder of a good release, if nothing else That's why I print all the good releases and print the covers as well, just to have them visually present in my room. I also understand Ivan because Neogoa releases are not commercial ones, and he cannot make money out of it. Basically, Ivan has to pay for mastering and devote his time for promotion and dialogue with artists, which is more than enough from his side. We would all love to have lots of money and print 1000s of CDs for all the fans out there, but it's really expensive for a single man (or a couple of them) to handle every few months.

Somnesia - Mystic Moon (gc-021) OUT NOW!
Arronax replied to InFecTeD_gOa's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
DL in progress, I will gladly give this one a multiple day listen before I make a review Congratulations to my friend Chris!!! -
Heh, thanks Penzoline, that gif is awesome! It really fits the track Btw, as Richpa said, I don't copy any other label or anyone's style. Maybe I would fit into Cronomi's concept, but the idea of Graviton Records suits my personal taste better. I'm trying to be as original as it's possible with this album, so it takes time quite longer than usual. Of course, I'll do my best to deliver a unique album with a dark flavor in it which will hopefully satisfy the taste of darker Goa fans. I know I've been delaying the whole release for too long, but I never wanted to release an unfinished thing. Thank you very much for your nice comment, I am really glad you like my work that much! ))

Wow Richpa, this is quite a surprise. I didn't know you like sevdalinka that much I personally love it, I listen to some slower songs though, and my favorite is Safet Isović. That man was a genius, and had such a powerful voice that made me smile for hours. In general, all folk music is great, and people should never let it fall behind contemporary genres. Here's one of my favorite by Safet Isović: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MD-3R8MnWBk The song is about a Bosnian patriot, captain Husein Gradaščević aka "Dragon of Bosnia", who was leading a military uprising against the Ottoman Empire back in 1831. in order to restore the Bosnian independence, but he was exiled to Austria after several major battles. After some time he got his permission to return to Ottoman Empire, and he decided to move to Istanbul after which he died under misterious circumstances. The theme of this song is about his wife in Bosnia that died in sorrow after she heard that her loved husband died in Istanbul. It's a very touching song, too bad that it can't be fully understood in English since translating it would be pointless The emotions are in the original words, it can't be translated

Well it's their anniversary (the label is celebrating their 2nd year of existence) so they wanted to give something special to the listeners. I must admit I still didn't manage to listen to all the tracks on the compilation but those that I have heard are very nice! Thank you for your feedback bro, I appreciate it and I'm glad you like it
