Some new recommendations Atmos - Headcleaner (2000) http://www.psynews.o...r/#entry1004892 Auricular – Audion (2001) http://www.psynews.o...n/#entry1004894 Beat Bizarre – Lewd (2001) http://www.psynews.o...20#entry1004895 Shpongle – Nothing Lasts... But Nothing Is Lost (2005) http://www.psynews.o...20#entry1004896 Subsistence - The Condition Of Existence (2011) I would recommend this release starting by track 6. It's progressive with psychedelic melodies but the guy takes his time to change it's melody patterns. The choice of sounds is not bad at all. He has talent and knows what he is doing but it takes a while before he gets started. Like I said, Track 6 and you're gone... The baselines gets more motivated. And he's more original with his melodies that sizzle very nice up and down. It's not housy or fluffy at all but has a sort off warm, spacy atmosphere. http://www.discogs.c...release/2886877 Jaïa - Fiction (2005) http://www.psynews.o...60#entry1004941 Reefer decree - Sound frames (2001) http://www.psynews.o...40#entry1004945

Atmos - Headcleaner (2000) Atmos is imo a milestone in the concept of progressive (psychedelic). At first when this was released I could not understand what people liked about it. There are no squeakily melodies and there was nothing exploding. This wasn't goatrance at all. Later on I started enjoying the minimal approach and the gentle melodies. The baseline is great. There's no baseline like atmos and until today no other artist has done it before. The detail and warmth his providing and the little differences that keep my mind busy along the releases are just fantastic. Almost becoming 2013 and lot's of progressive has been released this one is still in my top 5 off the best progressive releases 11 years later. Good work! +1 Electric universe - stardriver 1997) Stardriver is my favorite electric universe album. Very floating waves and tiny 303 patterns in it's advancement. The album starts very gentle and ends in pure melody with tracks like sunset skyline etc... All tracks are ok to great what makes the entire album more then recommended. This is warm trance and great to for home listening Discogs: http://www.discogs.c...ver/master/1000

Various – Musica Psychedelica Scandinavica (1998) Again a release that got my attention for one reason. The last track " The mato project - I'm Not Coming Back (Boingy Thing Mix)" was one of my first goa tracks that I've heard in a mix and very hard to found. Damn! This track isn't from a famous artist at all so you can imagine the frustration I have been through, it took me some years but it was worthed . This track is a good example of goatrance, the stops and going back on track in squeakily waves, just perfect. It's a dark release considering it's time age. The type of goatrance you would not suspect in 1998, then again 1998 was the year when a lot new talent had chosen a darker atmosphere in goatrance compared to the melodic year 1997. A recomendation for dark fans who would like to hear some oldschool but don't want that melody what is probably also a reason why they are dark fans... Discogs: http://www.discogs.c.../release/291848

VA - Chaos Unlimited Rebirth (2000) The main reason why I was attracted to this compilation is very simple. The first track "Jaia & Tajmahal – Rebirth" is imo one of the best goatrance tracks ever made. A good melancholic melody with a solid pattern. You could recognize some mindspere patience for heaven in that (or otherwise considering the release date). The entire album is a good example where goatrance ended and psychedelic trance started We are in 2000 and it's happening. Sounds become shorter and melodies are not that extactic anymore. The baseline gets more at front and is deeper but it still has that typical goatrance kick and that is what this album makes so unique to me. Very soon typical psytrance kicks will become mainstream and this type of trance fades away pretty fast. The atmosphere is kinda dark (well not fluffy), the Jaia tracks are the most melodic... Gaudium – Session Of Progression (2011) I have always been a fan of Gaudium but with this release, they really pulled it off. Is this progressive? fullon? Both I don't care it's good. To be progressive it's very strong, they use often fullon baselines but have a minimal approach in their first and last track what creates professionalism. There is nothing overloaded, everything fits at the right moment and Gaudium doesn't need to proof him or their selves with big climaxes but get their profit from small detailed production melodies or patterns. Long stretched, floating and pure harmony... Discogs: http://www.discogs.c...n/master/359236

Astral projection - Amen (2002) Astral projection needs no introduction off course. Many people consider this as their worst album. And I agree. But then again Astral projection has created so many good stuff It had to happen some day. Keeping up such a high level of performance is impossible for any artist. The problem is that people probably expected something else in 2002 cause Astral projection did stuck to their success formula and Amen is besides a good production quality nothing different compared to their other releases. There is a huge lack of originality. The album is very slow and the melodies aren't defiant or inspiring as we are used to have from AP. But after all it's a relaxing album and if this was released in 2012 I think people would respond differently and maybe love the fact that they stuck to their formula instead of becoming totally morning fullon. Who knows! Discogs: http://www.discogs.c...men/master/8796

4 years later, we meet again Silicon sound - pure analog (2003) This albums stays a perfect fullon experience. They were one of the first to use that formula in a very melodic way. I remember when it was released the album was sold out pretty fast here in Belgium (don't know on the internet) meaning the success was huge. The motivated baseline and long stretched waves made it accessible for psy listeners who tend to love other subgenres. Their strength is a type of revelation experience you get each time they start playing their sound. Many fullon has that already but this is 2003 so it was new back then. The formula is pretty simple but it works and it still does for me. I would highly recommend this as a milestone in the morning fullon evolution... Discogs: http://www.discogs.c.../release/126698

DigiCult - The Lucid Nation (2012) I'm a bit disappointed. Digicult is from Belgium and I've had a good friendship with one of the members (he's always abroad now). I got this release for free and it has been on my writing desk for like 4 months. I don't listen to morning fullon lately and have been busy discovering other music so the time wasn't there. Still the cover work is as usual stunning, absoluty perfect. Like always dacru knows how to use graphics. Then again one of them is educated as graphic designer so The music, yes, the music... After Talpa it's my second fullon album I check this year and it's november so why not. But I didn't get what I wanted. Their first release was gorgeous. I reviewed it back in 2006 and loved it. This third album at the other hand is nothing like it. It's very repetitive in baselines and melodies. All track are finished, a decent intro, nice atmosphere & detailed producing but that's it. The advancement doesn't get me tired but because of the lack of changes in the baseline they can't keep me busy through the entire release. At track 4 they use one spiral that is delicious why not go further with this, I don't know, but it seems that it's not coming back to haunt me Only in the last track they use a different baseline but the ship has already sailed in my mind. A bit late imo. The melodies squeal in different layers but are nothing new. I can name easily several albums that use exact the same melodies. Not close but almost exact the same. It's a bit cheap. I've expected more, but It didn't come... It looks like they've lost it. I don't know what happened. I enjoyed listening to it, but I don't think there will be a second time. http://www.psyshop.c.../dac1cd018.html

Burn In Noise - Passing Clouds (2008) Burn in noise present us here fullon but this is not morning fullon at all. A darker atmosphere is used and considering it's fullon the level off psychedelic is high. It's 'sound' has a sort of 'rave' touch what makes it a bit sturdy. Striking is the way how Burn in noise plays variated with his bass and kicks in tracks and from track to track. Listening to the entire album can be a bit repetitive cause he has chosen for a minimal approach so the baseline is always at top (depends on how long you can hear those fullon baselines). The intro from the first track with Terence Mckenna speaking is well put. Fans of headroom will embrace this album. I would suggest to call this night fullon. http://www.psyshop.c.../alc1cd026.html

Speaking of mediocre goatrance. Not my style at all... -
A disappointing release imo. Probably the wurst track man with no name ever produced. Even the morphem track is mediocre. The tim schuldt track is the only track that makes it a bit worthy...

The same goes a bit for Belgium but I meant the amount of countries, not the live acts, wow again, Looks like a great experience... @ Microdelic : Did you just travel for the goa parties (main reason) or business and then party in the weekend?

Was I (we) so young? Yes I do, a bit, my dad was a big fan and watched all the time so as a kid I was sitting next to him. I couldn't follow like an adult off course (didn't understand shit) , but he explained once and while. Then again it's no rocket science... So I have some memories, when Senna died that was huge, but that was later in 1994. Those memories are clearer.
