  1. That's a good track. I like the built up. They use silicon sounds and an atmosphere that creates the feeling of expectation. The baseline is pretty much ok. It's fullon minded but not to nervous which makes the entire track floating and smooth.... The climax at the end fits in the concept containing a not too advanced subtle wave... A nice 7.5/10 Next one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FXH4chUMWI
  2. On topic! You've got a point Raid, the production quality isn't that super just like the compilations fill your head with phantasm where tracks like subcouds are present. Often the tracks aren't that complex. But to me that has it's charm, simplicity can has it's positive effect. Just like when you listen to lousy mastered punk release from the 80's. It has something magic to my ears... I like all the fill your head with phantasm comp's
  3. i love the fact that Ubar tmar is playing live in my own city. I don't go out to psytrance parties anymore (having a intermission) but It's only 20min cycling so I could come just for the ubar tmar live set.
  4. / wrong post (not a recommendation) http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?/topic/64641-digicult-the-lucid-nation/#entry1004885
  5. Most countries have their own psy forum and when it comes to parties, people prefer to debate their, cause they know each other, met each other for the first time or can meet again. On an international forum that is almost not the case... I mostly agree with reger, it is what is, Psynews has developed along with the popularity of psytrance. And that's fine by me... I even prefer the fact that psytrance isn't that popular anymore. it has no influence on me at all (listening/interest)... And I like a smaller community like it was in the beginning... But efforts to advertise psynews is a good idea... But I think I won't help that much. Everybody has google, and can find psynews in one search... So when people have the interest, they will find psynews...
  6. I'm wondering what is it about this "like this" button that doesn't work?
  7. I love this release, I'm still waiting for my original copy to arrive, but I already had a quick peak on an mp3 Vbr release provided on the internet cause I couldn't wait I can't wait to listen to this masterpiece in perfect quality. The first CD is pure bliss. An interesting debate will probably follow and indeed neurogen. This is imo better then artifact 303 or filteria cause it has more depth. there is more story and more variations in the sound. This is not pure melody like innerspace but a goatrance concept. It's has more value for home listening. Not many artist provide that, so enjoy it Again each it's own taste of course and everyone is entitled to his or hers opinion. Your comparison between patience of heaven and Inner Cyclone is well put Richpa. This will be probably the best release of 2012 in my playlist. more to come
  8. Dimension 5 / Chi-A.D. ‎– Blue Moon UK Sampler Dimension 5 – Transformation (Original Unreleased Version) Dimension 5 – Beyond The Stars (Original Unreleased Version) Dimension 5 – Limitless Dimension (Original Unreleased Version) Chi-A.D. – Celestial Chi-A.D. – Biocandy Dimension 5 – Glow (Original Unreleased Version) http://www.discogs.c...r/master/450514 Well for starters, this is great. I applause the fact that artist maintain their older tracks, masterpieces, so It can be bought on an original disc again. It keeps the music alive and kicking. All track need no introduction at all but then again they do. Let starts: The difference between Transdimensional released in 1997 and second phaze released in 2001 has always been that in Transdimensional Dimsenion 5 used fat layers, huge spirals, larger waves and a melodic strength that still many goatrance lovers adore. Second phaze released in 2001 was more humble in it's spirals and melodies and provided a certain subtle atmosphere. I always preferred 'second phaze' but I've noticed that's rare. But taste is taste. The first two tracks are both released on 'second phaze' and are both great tracks. What you can expect from the orginal version is the same pattern of melodies as in second phaze but with the concept of Transdimensional. And indeed those tracks are quite different then the original ones. Or is it the other way around (probably it is). Great that Dimension 5 or who? decided to release those tracks in a good remastered version. Just perfect! (btw I'm a huge Dimension 5 fan just in case) The third track isn't different as the one that we already have seen on different compilations. Limitless Dimension is one of my favorite goa tracks and imo the pure essence of goatrance. A nice story, good variations, crystal clear moments. But you've heard this track already, I don't know why they call it "the original version" cause it's like you should expect something different like the first two tracks but that's not the case. But I don't mind. The remastering is fine but not necessary. Limitless Dimension was good mastered back when it was released and it still is. The same goes for Celestial and Bio candy from Chi-ad. Both tracks that have been played a thousand times in the morning on goatrance parties with one reason. They are good. Don't expect something different then the tracks you used to know. They are the same, again the mastering off course. Glow is probably the biggest gain on this release cause it's rare to find, it's a remastered version of this Vinyl released in 1997 http://www.discogs.c...release/2444397 and I'm glad I'm having it. Good one, nice track, almost a birthday present for dimension 5 fans. Conclusion: Tracks Transformation (Original Unreleased Version), Beyond The Stars (Original Unreleased Version), Glow (Original Unreleased Version) are the reason why to purchase this release. Cause like I mentioned I never had the feeling tracks like biocandy, Limitless Dimension needed remastering. But hey, it's good they are back on the market on a fair price instead of being ripped off on e-bay... I think I'll still prefer the 'second phaze" version of 'transformation' and 'beyond the stars' but that doesn't mean the original version are damn good tracks. There are more Dimension 5 rare tracks so keep it coming! Good work, great initiative, I love it...
  9. REALLY?? Reaaaaally?? you have talent my friend, when aliens visit the earth you should be the first to make contact On topic (as far as that counts in this thread) You can open more debates about boris blenn instead of complaining that other users don't open any Radi It is a simple as that, contribute yourself and it'll go along, it's no quantum physics!
  10. Cool, so actually it's an album (doesn't matter) , it's the quality that counts, and it looks like that will be fine...
  11. Aerospace can be a bit dull after a while imo, The concept of neelix especially their 2003 release, called resident I think, is very clubby and house tainted... You should try Orion - Artificial Frequencies from 2003. That's fullon but you'll know why when you hear it (or already checked it) It has this slower, deeper concept and was pioneer release to my taste back then.
  12. No it's a remix (or the other way around) from their second album 'second phaze' released in 2001 and my favorite off all times I don't know if it's remastered, I also think it is, but it's youtube so
  13. Coffee has indeed a huge effect on my sleep pattern, it has even an effect on how many times I wake up (for a second) during the night... That's why in the week (or when I have to get up early) I drink decaf, otherwise I don't mind. For instance it's holidays in Belgium right now, yesterday, today and combined with the weekend, so I'm drinking coffee all the time, I like coffee a lot It's is noticeable in the amount of posts I wrote today for example
  14. funny this is my tracklist at this moment (just posted in "what are you playing topic"), I'll be hearing it in about one hour and half. http://www.psynews.o...40#entry1003009 Just started with space tribe - future is right now Liquid Prisma is still my favorite Edit I've checked the track: I forgot how it sounded but this is a track that has been released on different compilations, and one of bypass unit famous. http://www.discogs.com/Various-Chakra-Green-A-Psychedelic-Trance-Compilation-Vol-3/release/140189 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Spiritual-High-Psychedelic-Mindscapes/release/357821 http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Greatest-GOA-Trance-Collection/release/363330 It has a good solid baseline and is at the end of his release Dropz Of Obscure Eclipses. A release that starts very cheesy and funny but the atmosphere becomes a bit more dark melodic and serious at the end, and so is Nanosphere Courier. I can only applause that cause it increases the psychedelic level and isn't that overwhelming. The production is pretty ok, a bit sharp but considering it's time age and compared to latest goa releases that's fine by me. Rating 6,5/10 Next track... I don't know if it's posted yet... 10 pages are a lot to check, but it's one of my favorites... Don't know why it says "(Original Unreleased Version)"? Have I missed something, it sounds the same, maybe remastered? Any info someone?
  15. To bad, it seems we were in a different dimension I really should upgrade to the I phone 13 cause I have teleportation problems when I'm abroad
  16. or neelix (only their 2003 release)
  17. Subcouds is indeed very good. Typical fill your head with phantasm style, love it!
  18. What mars said is very close I guess, I don't have much knowledge about producing. I think the quality is good, the weakest link influences everything no matter how hard artist/producers try. And in my opinion the weakest link are still the soundsystems, home cinema's, headphones, soundcards, equalizing, to much woofers etc... You can create or master whatever you want, at a crappy soundsystem it'll sound crappy or a soundsytem that is not correct configured or even the room that has bad acoustic... If you invest in a good system the human ear will have it's satisfaction. I invest a lot in headphones, I love my headphones and everything sounds great to my experience...
  19. Is there a naked painting of simon posford on the wall, cause If it does, I've been there Come on Radi, we have plenty of talk about electric universe... and btw you forgot Jupiter 8000 also a side project of him... you didn't pass the Boris Blenn test yet http://www.discogs.c...st/Jupiter 8000
  20. To my experience it's ok, We'll send a notification if we want to crucify you when it's not Amazing, It's almost exact the same as mine, Total darkness and silence indeed, I prefer to stretch my body long cause otherwise I have the tendency to stress my body while laying for example in embryo position. Ishq is indeed great and so is Galaxy and Solar fields. The only problem that I have is when I start to know the album/tracks by head I get brain activity which keeps me awake. So when I'm out of new albums it's total silence, which is ok. I also, always lie awake for at least 45/60min before I fall a sleep (never had it different since I can remember) and that's the time daydreaming is my friend. Daydreaming about the day, what to come, the more fantasy the better, daydreaming about a nice sunday afternoon nap is good, daydreaming that I'm not sleeping alone, everything that feels warm and comfortable... To keep the negative thoughts away, otherwise I worry to much and that keeps me awake. , valium is cheaper...
  21. The music debates are going fine I must say and everyone is acting really mature, respecting each other tastes without judging. I see many people that have an account for years but start posting more (or is it my idea?, I have had my absences on psynews too off course, it comes and goes) There was a day/period when someone opened a fullon topic and almost got shot for doing that
  22. Krumelur - minimal animal is more then unique. Not one psy release comes even close to the concept they provided back then in 2002 I think. Their second album is totally different what disappointed me when it got released with the result that I didn't give it any attention so I don't know if it's good. It probably is, but I made the mistake expecting to much/not different. I should check it again... Psysex - hardcore blastoff is to me 'the' perfect example of psychedelic trance. The production quality, diversity and level off psychedelicness is huge. It's a trip on headphones The sounds feel so alive in my ears... Not many releases have that element.
