That I do believe for some unknown reason, and I think it's not going into a good direction. The end will never be in 24 hours, but very slow. By the way. It's 42 degrees in Australia at the moment and as a matter of speech, The entire country is actually 'on fire', forest start to burn etc... They never had such a high temperatures according to the news... For example, We deny global warming totally, but there has to be something, something close. I don't know but there is certainly something going wrong imho... So much news about countries warming up can't be just because we have internet, world wide media alone (otherwise we wouldn't know it) Another example, 600 animal species got extinct in the past 10 years (I guess it was Australia), Scientist have started the frozen Ark project. Then again when I do sports (running) I use cheap headphones from sennheiser, Those stay perfect on your head while running, With those I use EQ "rock" to get a more powerful sound because of the noise on the streets etc... And it's also a second mp3 player, creative, 50 euro, very light in my pockets + plastic around it for waterproof...

@ Rotwang: Good post, but that is, what I was afraid off, that it's almost impossible to determine because of the money, and the know how about your system + lot's of work.... Continue... Those cheap "surround" soundsystem with the base just coming from a woofer, and boxes for treble and midi have obvious lousy EQ! I have one of those for my laptop and you can hear the difference. I don't use them at all to be honest, Only when I'm too lazy and need some sound fast for watching movies instead of those tiny boxes onboard on my laptop.... What a waste of money But my boxes are B&W numark 303, and with those it sounds perfect. All they have is huge hole in the back that filters "the noise" so they have to be at least 50 cm from the wall, otherwise it bounces back... And my headphones are Bose (see avatar), and those are also pretty ok... I don't EQ my mp3 player and I don't EQ my amplifier, All there is, is a mixer where all players/input can be connected, because it gives more power/louder when I use the gain to chose my volume. My EQ's are all in the middle...

That's true listening to my MP3 player with Bose headphones or Sennheiser is totally different, but how to do that? But I don't think there is a standard frequency... (I guess ) And isn't that just the quality you paid for? The last clasp in the chain... What is imo your responsibility how much money you are willing to spent, like I kinda mentioned above... So I'm guessing the quality from the soundsystem/headphones is low (cheap) and he wants to boost it up a little to have more (what is a good idea) Just thinking...

True, And if you are not satisfied, then your sound system/headphones are outdated or low quality. It's the only thing where I don't care how much money I spend (there is a limit off course) being music my largest hobby.

None, I resit to EQ, an album sounds like it sound... But if you had do it... Left is the base, center midi, right treble... You set the left almost high (85%), then go to the right , down bit by bit lower to the middle one (50%) and then you get higher one by one to set the right also at 85% That's what I did years ago when a lot of 128kbs mp3 were online...

^^ Another new goatrance release by Ovnimoon Records, but the melodies are to much nitzhonot influenced, it's too melodic for my taste!

Indeed a lot of people liked Arcana more because it's more varied and the style is a bit darker. But Pathfinder is one of my favorites concepts of goatrance, So it's a big imo... Also I think you have to know the albums I gave for example pretty well to put my post in the right perspective.

The latest Nova Fractal is great and is already in my top 5 now. If you are a fan of E-mantra - pathfinder and the Mindsphere waves, This is your thing. It's a Suntrip experience released by Ovnimoon Records, they've got competition I adore this concept of goatrance. Warm subtle long stretched waves, not explosive, super floating, but still euphoric... Don't expect something new or original. You have to be a fan of that typical concept imo... ^^ One of my favorite fullon compilations in 2003 (no review on psynews). All tracks are good but tracks like Wizzy Noise – Multivitamin, Soundaholix – Fractal Explorer are just perfect.

I thought I hadn't listened to this album before, but preciously I'm wrong... What the heck, here we go, AMD - BigFish (2007) This is very decent fullon. Not the typical morning fullon as we know it, but also not night fullon. It's in between. It's melodic but not morning melodic. Compared to other fullon it's not that intense and stressed. It floats very good.I could relax on this closing my eyes. There are no huge climaxes presented but it's more from one sound to another. That pattern makes it very psychedelic Don't except huge waves or fat layers but little squeakily sounds. I got interested in it because one of the member of Green nuns is involved and I'm a big fan of Green nuns so I couldn't resist. AMD keeps it varied. They put a lot off effort in changing their baseline each track. The further the release goes on, the harder the bass gets so it gives the experience of a travel/journey which is great. And I think considering fullon, a subgenre where the baseline is more at front it's almost a must to do that. Using the same baseline pattern each track is a bit lame imo. Sometimes they use 303 patterns very humble (green nuns, ofcourse what to expect ) and it's delightful... Non explosive as it is, it doesn't overload me at all. I could easily put this album on repeat without being bored. They also use samples that contain a little psycho touch like in 1997 and that's lovely. A good example off great fullon. More than correct, nice vid's btw, but the problem is my taste has changed I guess, meaning that somehow I can't stand the fast drums anymore. (I used to love them) Even when they are not that fast preciously. Maybe I'm getting old
