Trouble getting a good wind up...
Digital Psyence replied to a topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Hi, and welcome to the forum What you are looking for is a function called "Portamento" or "Glide" This will make the pitch glide over many bars if u want that. I use pro53 for this effect -
Hi synogen You can maybe get a psylosophy account. you get 25mb, and if you (like me) earn it, you get 250mb

Man!! i love the progressive style in the start!! The beat is funky as h*ll i just think its sad that it goes in fullon mode later on. i think you should keep this in the progressive end. besides that not much happens. so get to work and complete this beast

Cosmic Crazies. Psy-trance tune.
Digital Psyence replied to psyfi.co.uk's topic in Free Music Promotion
Superb quality!! its really not my style, and i really dont like the melodies, they are way to de-harmonic for me. So i'll just say i like the mastering of it -
Your bass + kick + hats needs huge work !! it sounds terrible. You need to take your bass lower down. i really dont like the rythm its playing either. i cant say much more because i couldnt stand listening o it anymore than for a few seconds. Dont hate me now, im just being honest about my opinion

Foundation of a track
Digital Psyence replied to Psychocell's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
here is my way to do it I always create the "middle" of a track first 1. Find a good kick 2. Create a groovy bassline 3. Add some nice Hihats 4. add some groove percusion / rythmic synths 5 Create the theme¨ 6. organize your stuff a bit, start copying parts you want to use at other times in the track. now its beginning to look like something. 7. build good FX for break's 8. Complete the whole track so its done (yeah easier done than said ) 9. Automation time! Automate knobs & faders on synths and make em scream 10. Listen carefully, many times to your track to be 100% sure its complete & ready mastering. (and mixning if you dont do this yourself) Its not 100% the wauy i work, but pretty similar -
well, i suppose i have to be the bad guy then. Its really not my style. Its pretty much to weird/false-playing for me. Anyhow, i like many of your elements Though i think you should shorten your bass-notes a bit. I think the notes flows together instead of pumping real hard but its not my style, so i'm not the one to judge how it should sound

looks interesting! Thanks -
Hey! I wrote that price didnt matter because i also wanted to check out what "bigger" systems people would suggest me I dont think i'll spend more than 10-15.000dkr on the gear. Regarding to the cd-players; yes i can see what u mean. All those cool features is gonna cause trouble later on in "live" mode Actually before i started this topic i was thinking about buying 2 x Numark Axis 9 or a dual player (Tascam CD-X1700 maybe) and a cheap mixer But i'll need to go and check the different stuff out before i decide what i want

In my studio, the sound is really bad. its a small room (about 16m2) so, how should i mangae this? im almost sure i need bass-traps (cause the bass rumblesvery deep) Are there people to hire who can solve my problem, or some kind of measuring device i need to do it myself? thanks

Hey Sundrop, i think it will be the numark´06 mixer I not 100% sure bout the decks yet, but its first in march 06' that i get big cash to shop for This DJ gear is not to be messed up with my producing gear. its only 4 fun For producing im buying a tascam dm24 mixer with a firewire card, so it works as a 24 i/o soundcard DJ'ing is my little hobby. Producing music is my lifestyle
