Digital Psyence replied to thebadtrip's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Mp3 doesnt sound to good either when the volume is high -
Hi Cybernetika! Thank you very much for your time and feedback! I produce all my projects on a couple of Behringer headphones, at first i was really scared if it would sound good on normal stereo's, but ive got to know them very good and i think i manage to keep a good balance between everything. I hope someday to release something. if its gonna be my Digital psyence style or Xzita first i dont know!? Here! listen to some other stuff im working on : Digital psyence - Under construction Xzita - Under construction Anyhow im looking forward to buying monitors
-
Hi i have one. i bought it as a temporary card until i can afford what i want instead. I am really surprised about this card though. The DSP-Effects are very good, and general the card doesnt cause any anoying troubles. I can recommend it too! (i bought the bundle with Proteus X - and that one i almost love even more)

Hi Daze, Thanks for your comment! I think this track represents the softest and most melodic side of my music. I dont know how to judge this track myself either, because this style is really not a style im continuing producing. I have much different "Digital Psyence" projects on the way If you ever see some tracks from "Xzita", then check them out. Xzita is also me, its just another alibi for my dancefloor killers (146 - 150 bpm)

Here it is, take a listen! Toxic tones just click download

i would recommend you to get good friends with a piano! The fingercoordination settles much quicker than you think, first its maybe a bit boring, but after a few weeks im sure you dying to explore the world of chords and scales. its much simpler than you might think. Do you know the names of the tones on a piano? Do you know a anything about chords? I'l be glad to help you. if you want add me to msn. Xphraze@msn.com

I think its very important that the soundquality is nice, if there's a few bugs that you just cant get sounding right, then thats just the way it is. I recently sent a demo to Utopia Records (3 weeks ago), they never answered... I also sent them a mail to hear if they ever received the cd, but they didnt answer that either. Thats just sad, because youre just waiting and hoping that you get a mail with some feedback at least. but some people just doesnt care i guess Anyhow good luck with it, and let us hear where u get signed -
Hi there, And welcome to the forums! i do most of my melodies in 32/1, i dont like using arps for goa-like melodies because som notes needs to be a bit different every now and then (my opinion) i dont know what other people do, but i get great results this way

Some tips on monitor placement....
Digital Psyence replied to mikelogic303's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Thanks a lot !! Great tips, most of what you wrote i didnt know, i just thouht that it would be best to use bass-traps in each corner of the room. Your tips will come in handy soon, im constructing my studio right know, sexy lights in the ceiling, and a big homebuild working desk + 2 x 12unit racks 2x 14 unit racks (all homebuild) I'll post pics when im done with it I have a question for you, because you seem to knoe a bit about acoustic treatment. i have a room that looks like this: htt Can you suggest what i should do with the angeled window? I thought about covering it with roockwool and hope for a good result. (i do not have monitors yet) i have some old speakers and i can clear hear the difference between the bass-notes. some makes a very deep bass around these 6-7 foots away as you wrote. -

i thik you should buy some modern gear instead ! -
I think most of the tracks are pretty good choices, however - i dont think your transitions are very good Looking forward to next one

Hi. the good things about your track: i like your beat and bassline, sounds good. You seem to have good ideas for breaks and FX. The bad stuuf: I dont like any of the melodies in your track, everything sound so false/de-harmonic. Conclusion: start studying tone scales and teorethical stuff if you can compose harmonic stuff, it will for shure blast the dancefloor with your beats Good luck

i get pretty good results with Pro53, actually i can easily create a whole track with only pro53's (and drum sampes off course) -
