K-BAN replied to draeke's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry

Has anyone noticed this too already? Even crazier to attempt doing this? 8) I'll definately look into it since I want to go to at least one of these next year. Dates Lost Theory - July 22-28 Ozora - July 29-August 3 Boom - August 4-11

Let me shake your hand. ;D EDIT: Seeing that Jaws Underground album makes me happy. (play it!) Also, does that Save the Robot cover have a hologram effect? I need a handy shelf unit like you all seem to have. I recently dug out all my cds so decided to take a picture. They are either kept in the purple cabinet in the photo, shelves above it or on the floor infront if Im currently listening to some/getting around to others. some of these stacks are separated for reasons and future projects. I had 350ish 3 years ago. I've bought a lot since then so maybe over 500 now? I could count the list I typed out and edit when I get new cds..(which needs updating)

ooo! I want those! my orange FR shirt has the designs but that white one is koo! The TIP cd case is the same design on my Green Nuns shirt, too. Agree with draeke - the real deal is the real deal ;p

ah man! this is why Im totally planning for a Euro festival next year. always killer line-ups ;D I got to hang and share some space with Boom Shankar and PhasePhour guys by a small day fire at Genesis this year. They were being funny. 8)

Bravo to the Psynews'er for not taking the instant stab that could of been. 8) Writing English 100%$ correct was always a problem for me. I was given an extra class in 8th grade (14yrs old), it had 2 or 3 other students in it. Grammar with comma's and all that junk was the focus. Thinking back, I'm not sure how I was given this class. Guess my 7th grade teacher had something to do with it. NO IDEA ;p the only things I remember from that class were group games now and again as well as playing Oregon Trail, ahaha! learn kids! learn with games! ;p

What music are you listening to right now?
K-BAN replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Anax - Warm-Up this guy was soooooo good! Wish he released more than one album and a few compilation tracks. -
sheesh! I have an AMAZING past 5 weeks going to 4 festivals, enjoying my psy family at each - while the internet family gets in a massive knife fight ;( just remember only so much communication can be translated well in text. we dont always know each other's humor or can even translate that well. that said - if you take things too seriously, dont start a fight seeing as people dont back down, but only continue the problem. It was nice to see some apologies whiles other still say 'f*ck it!' (punches) childs play, man! I love this community - so come at me! I'll smack you around with hugs N shit 8)

post error. ignore this one ;p -
and then they have awesome tracks like this! I just heard it for the first time last night since I recently got the album and am catching up on cds. killer tune! totally sounds like a SUN Project song when they use less guitars. same grunge N funk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y7rLCgGlnw
-
that Shift song is awesome! (double smack!) ;p Im not familiar with NIN music but hearing it again I recognize the sounds at the end. glad the voice samples were never at the forefront. that could of been incredibly cheesey. Spiritual Enhancer - Smoking Underwater

playing them side to side I can see what you mean now, Ormion. Same family tree at least. Melodies?? not really. That Alien Stamp track is pretty sweet, though. 8) oh and in the meantime can you help me out? track 2 is definately Electric Universe right? I've heard this many times before..obviously now mislabled on beatport unless that dj is trying to claim it ;p http://www.beatport.com/release/give-the-brain/1013601 -
I got some from Shuki @ Kagdila in 2006. They are getting rarer so prices are high. These are newer designs than the shirts I have. I think I remember these being sold in early 2000's. The ebay account is Shuki. Same name as on the business card with his orders. ;p http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=flying+rhino+shirt&item=111157447789&pt=US_Mens_Tshirts&_osacat=0&_from=R40&hash=item19e1800c6d&_ssn=yairelectronics-us&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xflying+rhino&_nkw=flying+rhino&_sacat=0

cool, thanks! That Cosmosis track was released which was throwing me off about if the others were.
-
hahaha! you all are too funny ;D I also thought "this must be what Hulk Hogan's shirts were made of!" ;p I was bitten by a rabid raccoon two days ago? *_* (no I wasn't) heheh, I was going to wear the shirt this weekend and next while at Equinox too since I liked the look of it on me as I tore more holes. Then I later noticed the black dusty grime it left. My mind was telling me "this shit will seep into your skin!" haha! and thanks, lots of fun will be had 8) most of my NY psy family and nearby states will be there. ^_-

Agitato was a full-on psy label I respected years ago and am unaware the quality of their releases now. I remember seeing shirts of theirs for sale years ago and came across one on ebay for $11.75. Deal! NOT! heres why ;p I am packing some clothes today for Fractal Fest this weekend and decided to bring this long sleeve Agitato shirt as it is getting cold here at night. I have yet to try it on since buying it at the end of July so I did now. The thing instantly ripped at the right shoulder and where my other hand pulled it over. I was able to easily pull this shirt apart with my fingers which my video shows. I've never seen a shirt so cheap. I'm not even mad, its comical ;p But just a warning incase someone like me wanted to show love for this label and get a shirt too haha! also, the shirt left black residue and bits on me. maybe its somehow decomposing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRj8dUe7K8Y

WOA! thanks for that! Just bought one of the 5 cds remainng ;p now seeing the Cosmosis track, are the others old unreleased tracks? newer but first and only released here? mmm that MMM track is delicious ;D
-
oh man! how lucky you would of been! I'm going to try and get them to NY since a friend of mine holds his own parties and flies people over. (crosses fingers)
-
well I guess Im just a sucker for classic full-on ;p the artists kept the energy or had one or two small breakdowns and when the energy was back again, they took to their style and sound to fill the air with layers. When I visited Spacey K's soundcloud I found some boring tunes but I liked the effects I heard at the party even if he was still killing his own energy for me. The guy is weird but hey, weird is good ;p
-
bleh! I saw Spacey Koala 2 weekends ago at Psyfari and I didn't like it. I thought I was enjoying myself at first but his constant start and stopping of the bass and energy was a big turn off ;( but its interesting I see his name come up here because I at least did notice something different about him. I did actually think "this guy has his own psy genre" ;p so thats cool to see others with similar thought. I never heard of him before seeing the flyer to the event. This weekend in 2 days or whatever I will see him perform again and give a second chance.

I am a huuuge fan of Manmademan but still haven't heard nearly all they have created. They have the broadest range of music too I think in the psy scene. from ambient, dub, goa/psychedelic, prog, full-on & more. They are also just super cool people and get in touch with their fans. I recently received a care package in the mail by them 8)) I'm glad they still produce music and play at festivals. Manmademan IS psychedelic. here is my all-time favorite by them. nothing like it. prepare yourself ;D a part 2 may be in the works...^_- 'Deliverance' 'Creation Myth' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxDfSP-F6PI 'Karahana' - probably their most-known track
