my bad, thats the version I meant. 2015 is a good year of music for me from the only two parties Ive gone to so far. a small one in NY and ZNA. and lucky enough to hear for the first time Spiritual Healing here in NY (my small town no less) and this newer version at ZNA. yay ;p

Its hasnt been touched on much here with the experience for the crowd so I will go there. but first, I see cdjs used often at the ny outdoor parties and events in general in the states. laptops are still common whether the dj has a mini mixer connected via usb or what. I enjoy seeing the dj working hard mixing the tracks or getting excited hearing their tunes come up. its an added bonus if you will since I can still have just as much fun hearing the music I like no matter how they played it. Is it something I prefer? yeah I guess but I wont be mad either way, laptop or not. skills or not. Just dont mess up the transitions everytime haha! I know it happens ;p Ive done very little in my free time. Only if whoever is performing is more so entertaining people backstage with chatting and hanging out then I would feel less connected on the dancefloor. All djs in here, do your thing and keep the passion ;D Play what you want and in doing so share more so what is you. What you love and want to share with us. maybe there is this new thing where you can convert cds to vinyl. think about that ;p

oh no. Sesto Sento had better days. classic full-on vs pop flavor psy. its been said ;p I hope you can get into this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMVzDc98GZE

I totally agree with the conversation factor! From the drop off after the bus where we waited to take the shuttle into the festival grounds. starting talking about music there an all throughout the week - that was REALLY special! Finally I could talk music with someone! ;O and MANY someones hahaha! Its not often here in the States that can happen. And most at ZNA know or remember more than I so it was great to share ideas/likes and all that related to classic psychedelics. 8) I agree - sometimes you praise the music you dont want to hear so then you have an extra moment for rest haha! From the one dark Alpha set and some modern full-on and prog during mid-day hours where I usually hung out in the shade. Anti's old sounding mix is one I wish I heard all the way through instead of from my tent between waking. as for full-on played... I LOOOVE classic full-on. the stuff everyone complained about in early 2000s when we wanted classic goa back. well now all these years later that psy is classic (and more so than the goa was aged in '03) and it was a great time for me. the modern stuff.... bleeehhhh! so onto Antaro - I really enjoyed his mix. He played a mix of old tracks (pitched down as Paul Eye first comfirmed. thanks for 'Double Dragons'!!) mixed with some classic psy tracks. Two GMS tracks 'Shrek' and 'Juice' are coming to mind as they played after one another and Mekkanikka - War. Even just those are special for me to finally hear at a party since I wasnt attending events when they released. not until 6+ years later I was camping and dancing ;p

MFG - MAYA MOON! found it ;p the sample helped..woops. the name looks a tad familiar haha! might of been named wrong if its the track Im thinking of.
-
this is driving me nuts! it might have been mislabled when I owned this 10+years ago and now the name is a blur for me. its at 3:22 in the video. seeing its name might be enough incase it was listed correctly. and who knows, maybe I own the cd and dont know it haha! but man I love that hypnotic melody ;O
-
heh maybe my confusion and you would know better what was played ;p thanks! My battery was near dead and kept going on like your mix haha! I was trying to fully use up the rest of the juice for your set and no more charging during the week 8) and you werent there for the photo! we gotta find out who you are next time 0_o I keep forgetting to mention the bass issue too. some artists/djs it was too loud from anywhere on the dancefloor. a few the sound was fine all over the dancefloor. but mostly, the left side of the center tree the music sounded the best. so yea, next zna - lets test that out more, please! or maybe just remove a stack of subs and I think it will still sound great all over the property. and to clarify, I fall asleep when tired, not necessarily if bored. And I can fall asleep easily. Its happened while dancing at previous events (even walking once after a day of biking 100 miles ;O) - what I mean by music that bores me is Im hearing it but its not doing anything for me. no excitement and Im zoning through the music. next thing I know its over and Im kinda like..what? something with there being so many layer assaults does it IF the tracks dont sound different enough from one another. The best way I can describe it without being too cynical haha! and yea, being a long day and worn out during Etnica, I sat down and fell asleep kinda easily until a friend asked if I was ok. Once I stood up I continued the rest of the night... and the final meal with Drosophila....8))

funny coincidence with Jaia -Mai Mai. that rmx was his first starting track at ZNA. I never knew of the rmx until getting home and finding this thread. I waited til uploading this vid to post. and Shiva Joerg played his rmx to 'Spiritual Healing'. Im liking the talk of Muses Rapt coming up. Beautiful music they made. I heard the original at a party here in NY the week before ZNA, heard the rmx and chatted about them today shortly. Keep 'em around!
-
and true... Lunar Civilization was played three times haha! Filteria may of played it twice haha! or it was another track I could of sworn he played (prob the case) a different rmx to at the end. The Etnica/Pliadians thing... that stuff bored me. Apparantly I like Pleiadians more, though. The more cyber sound and less eastern. But something with too much layers going every all the time = boring for me. Its very shortly fun here and there. UK goa all the way for me at this even ;p
-
Spiritial Healing was played! I am 100% positive. I can always ID that track. I just learned today that Joerg has his own rmx to the track. Its a good one too, as its close to the original and doesnt change much. I was with I think Alex (Koyote shirt) at the food area on a picnic table when it played. Not sure where you were then. Maybe in the Falafel place.

I have sent zee email! (crosses zeh fingers) (giggles inside)

thanks! I did have EU - One Love on the mind recently wondering why. It must of been from seeing it in this tracklist and thoughts echoing back to what you said, how we talked about it at one point. I wanna say this was the lunch break when the one guy tried to get me to eat that black.. rabbit turd looking thing that got on my fingers ;p or maybe that was later in the week haha! It must of been awhile since we were talking about 'One Love' while having food. I think once we heard EU and left shortly after. I know we arrived before KoxBox - Fuel On because we all looked at each other with a smile and speaking it one that tune mixed in. Also, that is where my video recording for this guys started. Heres the link!
-
I will donate money to him playing! I think many of us will. Please, for the fans return just once!! ha! we should of done a jig like that. maybe line dancing... maybe not ;p I been thinking the last two days that I still havent done my idea of being on the dancefloor with aluminum foil hats or attire. maybe next ZNA we get a few to do this haha!
-
I can look at it in a positive way where at least ZNA played every style of music - well except suomi psytrance ;O Alpha was like WTH?! I forgot about that ;p but it was a perfect opportunity to sleep and get some rest before UX (even if I napped through most of it) and the morning sets from Manmademan and MFG. I'd wish I caught Lotus Omega. Im unfamiliar with their music and the last track I came in on was pretty good. Yea, I would still beg, plead and give blood to have Toi Doi as a final act for the mainstage. I too have seen Filteria several times. Im so so with his style. I like it much more than Etnica which played before him. Something about the goa with many layers going lightspeed makes me zone through a mix. I gotta say some of that acid Filteria let loose sounded goooood!and a popular choice for IF we could choose an artist for next ZNA would be Slide. That'd make a nice finisher, too 8)

I think some of the expectations not met should be said... both Manmademan (who Ive wanted to see for so long) didn't play many classics at all. Not even 'Karahana' which is probably their most popular classic track. Neither did they play Radar, Creation Myth, Drama or Deliverance among others I would of liked to hear. And the bass was a little much on some tracks with a full-on, almost prog, groove. And MFG played very few oldies. Im forgetting what else now other than that the subwoofer was sometimes too much on some sets.
-
woa! I dont remember it being 4 hours! I must of been getting food and such for some of it.. remind me staffan what happened ;p were we or you there the entirety? Looking at the program I would say so but it didnt seem that long. Maybe one day Im free enough to play through this ;O and I always get a little tingle in my heart when I see Medicine Drum in tracklist 8)

well everyone had their own agendas ^_- some of us wanted to catch the same artists, some of us slept when others danced or ate food. and we had 4 different base camps. It worked and glad it did I enjoyed seeing everyone shake hands and greet the others after the photo as well. A big awwww haha Boom is too big and crowded. Nearly everyone agreed on the festival size and how you see the same faces, whether you talked to these people or not. This was especially nice because we were always running into a friend and spending time with them or at least figuring out their plan for the next few hours. ZNA was my favorite festival/party experience to date. It can only be outdone by another ZNA I think. and before I forget - please let there be video of when you met the other guy with the light up suit!!! That made my night!!!! sooo funny 8))

I love it! And any time looking over and see you I felt good and wanted to keep dancing too. 8) sore feet or not. It feels good to see the excitement of friends. The night when all of us were there for Technossomy followed by Darshan, that was pure magic! All the buds and killer music 8) mmmhmm! I wish I wasnt so tired for UX. The stuff I wanted to hear came on while I was still in the hammock at the dancefloor haha! I heard Master of the Universe and nearly got out, then UX ended on that one I think.. the previous day and night were just too tiring. And am jealous of this Goblin mix you heard. I was for sure mostly asleep through it in the hammock still. oh we had a blast! I love every moment catching our favorite acts together or just pal'n around the festival grounds. it was a very easy layout. camping and the lake at one end with everything inbetween on the way to one or the other. perfect size for sure! and first watching this video, I thought Drosophila was my new German buddy since they have similar hats. Its cool our small circle made it into the clip ;p noted! ;D and yes - Xenomorph, Technossomy, Darshan and SUN Project were definitely my favs of the event. I felt so much energy during them ;O ZNA will most likely return for 2017 Im guessing. lets all shoot for that! Before this event I was thinking of being done with parties for awhile. But while there I thought a future ZNA just has to be something I do. To see the friends again and what will be another good line-up. So I will try my best ;p
-
thanks to whoever our cameraman was haha! it took some effort the whole day to get all of us together at the start of Union Jack. And see the legs between Paul & Drosophila? those are two German friends I made that trip. They later told me they have a group picture of us from behind so I will message them and see if I can get it haha! and heres a video during when SUN Project played. I know Drosophila hasnt seen this yet. What a good day! I miss it so much. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKfna8IwlwY

thanks for sharing! Its cool to see regardless 8) Ive not made my own but attempted so in the game LittleBigPlanet on Vita. ;p

ah ha! I misread your post about this lucid SkeletonMan figure. As you by now know my story on how that went ;p You guys are a lovely bunch and I really would love to have you and the new friends made from this trip around for more events or just casually hanging. This was a real special event for me with the music for sure and just as much so the people I met talked and laughed with the whole week. I really didn't expect this much heart warming from new friends and travelling solo overseas. This is a week I will never forget. And heres the Psynews gang that at least was around. A few others could of made it in apparently. Guys I didn't end up meeting. Im not certain on all exact forum names but left to right here you have SkeletonMan, Staffan, Me, PaulEye, Drosophila, Anoebis and .... pdinklag?? if I can remember some of what you told me?? and where you posted recently...

Will do ;D

Skeleton in camp or dancefloor? Im sure it will be an easy spot ;p Im at Lisbon now in the hallway with the outlets to myself. There is free unlimited wifi this year after a quick registration. Last year was crappy boingo with one free hour before paying for extra. Continuing to wait and sleep it out. Wearing an orange Flying Rhino shirt. Ize excited!
-
so I hope this helps if someone hasnt been to Lisbon airport before. its pretty easy. I will describe the little red things I added to the map picture. the arrival area on the right - there is some long ramp you go down after getting your bags which i dont exactly see in the map so I circled the whole area. from that side of the lobby you walk towards the main entrance and the escalators there with the food and drink icons over them. those floors lead upstairs to that stuff, other shops and the departure counters to get your boarding passes. Go past them and you head towards the rental car hallway. the slight downward slope in that hallway is where I will be against the wall. Not sure what I will be wearing but I have a red backpack that says K-BAN and a small duffle. I hope to see some of you there or the dancefloor 8)

Heres how my plans are.. I leave from here at Dusseldorf airport at noon on the 30th. I then have a 5hr layover in Madrid so I will arrive at Lisbon at 8pm. From there i will be camped out in the hallway that leads to the rental cars. Along one wall there are 6 outlets to charge things haha! I bunkered down in this spot last year for two nights, once before and after boom. I was always first there and eventually it became a hangout spot for others ;p this can be an easy way to find me in the airport. Its just around the corner from the main entrance where the buses are and where Boom bus departed from. When i get on my friends pc I will see if I can get a picture of the airport layout. I also have the 10am early bus. Hopefully there is somehow space by time it leaves. Who knows with possible flight delays from other travellers.
