  1. DJ Shoom - Funky Acid Forest great mix on DI now! almost over - wow! sooo goood!
  2. number 14 is creepily sweet goa and reminds me of Slide. I cant see it being from Parasense. has he ever made a goa track to begin with? ;p If so..I would like to hear.. good luck man! killer song!
  3. nice ambient soundscapes mixing everything together in the album 8)
  4. Avatar Records is a top 3 favorite for me. I like their style 8) cool release. vol. 1 is great and 2 also! just need to get 2 and 3 now.
  5. K-BAN

    PERFect

combine the Toi Doi atmosphere with rich acid goa and you got yourself a winner 8)
  6. they were the sweetest compilations around. as someone said, they had gotten filler between the good songs. they started gettin worse when the double digits came. number 9 I say is the last respectable one. more solid than the ones to follow. I have 1,3,6 and 12. 1,3 & 6 are goa gold! 12 really sucks. the compilations started getting filled with no name artists that plagued the cds with filler minimal sounds, prog and whatnot. its a shame. Goa Head 3 I like to think is the best of the series. it also had a huge impact on me when I discovered the world of goa/psychedelics. I couldn't believe it was in my hands the day a friend got it for me 8) like a goa myth, haha! now you can find all these newer goa head release in the number 20's and such on german websites. I've gone searching for them and found lots of german stores selling them. and even some of the first versions. pretty easy to come by.
  7. heck yes! Pure Planet was shweeet! number 2 now ;O cant wait!
  8. If I had to choose one psy label to outlast the rest...it would be Timecode 8) S.African mad-men ;p quality psy.
  9. try Beatspace next time you cant find something on Psyshop or Saiko. they surprise me with items they still have instock 8)
  10. I easily fall asleep to the goa/psy because its just part of me. it relaxes and BOOM! I'm out. but music is never in my dreams. I can only recall one cool dream I ever had tho with music..I was making my own song with thoughts. it didn't last long. dont recall any visuals but the sounds and stuff just spewed out in creation. was a fun one ;D
  11. Defiately get it! I've forgotten about it. his first album 'Addiction' is REALLY good. Tellus 2 needs some more recognition. 8)
  12. Seems to me they can hear the difference between good uplifting. the thing is - the cheesey uplifting tracks chosen are from 06 and as we all know wasn't too good a year for psy in general. this is the sound taking over most full/on and being commercial. there is good uplifting out there but from years past. Try Astrix - Eye to Eye. Releases from Altom,, Talamasca, Mekkanikka and Psydrop. I'd be real cautious on purchasing new cds that contain this sound. thats all. I haven't purchased releases of the lighter side psy because there isn't much good being produced. also, for me good music uplifts me all the same and puts me in that "higher up" mood. Crazy soaring psy like Electric Universe and Space Tribe, the slighty more psycho stuff from S.Africa and whatnot. and the Portugese guys like Audialize, Suria and Menog. they all uplift me with the great sounds they create. forgot to mention. Protocultures first album, 'Refractions' is the best example of uplifting psy you're gonna get. their second cd is pure fluffy junk. its a shame they went in that direction. also try G-Light - Final Element. definately not the overbassed usual sound from Russia. 8)
  13. another awesome goa mix! really liked that last one by Manamademan. never heard it before.
  14. I'm going to have to agree with you here ;D 'License to Slink' is a good one too - hA! I always liked the name 'Thunder Thighs' from the Nuns. they were crazy ;p
  15. wow! forgot about his Schmangled brain set. I have that and Pickled brain too someplace with my cds. they are very nice sets. different style of goa almost in each of them too. they definately were different and oh so good. Much love goes out to Morlack 8) when I was new at Di was when he started spinning sets there. heard all his Cybernetica sets(used to skip school to hear them ;p) and most all Frequency Patterns. I forgot he did chillout shows too. didn't catch any of them. Morlack once had October 2003 Frequency Patterns for dl on a site and I got it cuz its my favorite. no idea what site it was..lost the mix in a hdrive crash. anyway I can get it? If any of you can tell me how ya like SHoom mixes 8)
  16. Audialize - Wanted if you can find a copy. Storm Reaction as already stated. 8) definately try Psydrop - Fantasy Seeds Nomad - Hyperactive and Mad Attack albums ;D Try anything on Space Tribe Music - good compilatons! and anything from Electric Universe from 04 till now. 8)
  17. I have yet to get a dvd. do all or some interview the artists as well. I know most show them playing live right? Also are some strictly visuals?
  18. I think his face on that cover looks like he farted too loud and doesn't want people to of heard it. look at him, is he about to cry or bust out laughing? crappy cover to suit his crappy music at least. theres a plus. somehow...hahaha! to quote a friend..."Yawnhell" ;P
  19. I like a lot of their classics but I just want to mention how genius The Frog is. using its ribbit as a rhythm like that. it sounded best when all the other bits and pieces of the song came into play over it. very nice work there ;D
  20. Sorry but, its really not. To me it was the real big push into that commercial psy thats not cheesy fluff sounding. its like some sorta epic psy with that deep tone and odd style the way it moves. some sorta PUNK PSY. heres an example..psyshops sample of Soul Control @ 34 seconds. it spawned more crap like stuff from X-Noise and Black & White. Sometimes E-Jekt even touched into that sound/style. I cant exactly explain it but you know when ya hear it. Xerox & Illumination - Temporary insanity was an awesome album! and few compilation releases before were ok or good too. the lastest album (XI) just doesn't cut it. the original '7 days' was good and 'Ghost in the Machine' is probably the best off the album. the best example of this sound is Paranoia. also the most whored song of '05 another exmaple..Black& White - Retro Active I like X-dream but didn't feel that album. not something to get all excited about. I respect they went way in another direction. takes some guts. doesn't mean its great.
  21. so far me like. 2/Underhead - Whirlain of Water just ended. was really good goa 8) great song around 23 minutes. woa! very good mix so far - wow! awesome mix! and nice Dimension 5 in the end. just got that Vinyl last month. great goa!
  22. creepy good atmosphere. nice twanging intro too. I like the swirlin echoey elements. psyconfusion type sound. really cool! saving this one ;D
  23. Oh yeah, I dfont recall any singing it in...
  24. try somma that good South African spy. lots released this year Twisted System Core Shift - Byte Me Slug - Elemental Phyx - Kiss The Blade Brethren - The Legend of Cane Pitch Hikers - Twilight Zone ESP - Space Tribe and Electric Universe album really sticks out. All the goa from Suntrip thus far does.
  25. My favorite DJ's are Shoom - A warrior and fighter to keep goa alive. new and old school vibes. its in his blood. has damn good sets and some with lots of acid ;O nice psy sets too and usually has a killer intro. http://goa-shoom.net/ Glassball - driven by the spherical transparent psychedelic orb. spins the finest psy and laughs while you ceisure. http://glassball.vandjs.com/ FractalGee - Fractal artist & Goa veteran that can spin everything! I wish I had his cd collection ;p http://fractalgee.com/ lots of people on Psynews are goa addicts so check out his Petrified Brain and Mushy Brain sets. both 4 hours of GOAld Morlack - love what he spins. knows his psy and creates the best of moods in the arrangement of tracks.
