New Psytrance track - feedback is highly appreciated!
K-BAN replied to magix's topic in Free Music Promotion
first - NO WAY! Is this the Morten I met at SUN Festival?! and again in Lisbon airport after Boom? Also from Denmark?? If so this is the American Matt who was travelling with Ali. I hope its you ;p edit- I think his name ended with an M and not N I like the melodies at different sections of the track. its fine by me but maybe see if a slight volume increase to them can make them stick in the mind and hypnotize further. Not sure as I am listening now on my tv with the pc hooked up to it. A headphones go at it is a must ;p -
we were? how do you know this? ;p are you in one of my Ozora vids? If you are positive you may be in pics I have on FB. I only really caught a few artists each morning or just after noon. Some nights had an artist I wanted to catch. I wasn't too busy with music at Ozora.

Oforia had better. and full-on de-evolved by time 2008 knew how to keep full-on energy alive and proper. so many to choose from during the golden age of psy but heres one. almost chose a Nomad, Absolum or Injection track instead. mmmm 03/04 ;p and the Sulima track above this post is ok. nice neogoa. Kind of plays it safe. the end half sounds within the limits of modern psy. not sticking out to me much.

I had a different suggestion in mind before seeing this post but good thinking 8) Prana - Taiyo (Chakra rmx) would anyone else call this a remake since its very different?? always loved this wild child and was the happiest when Tsuyoshi played it at SUN ;D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5CP_OU8i4E

Some of you know I had a big year for festivals and I just yesterday finished all the uploads. Im surprised to of gotten over 8 hours of footage this year alone ;O and in HD, yay! I didnt do too much recording last year and the only non-existent videos on this playlist of mine are clips from the early parties I went to in 2010, with a certain party where the artist Darkpsy played. I'll get around to that ;p There's enough oldschool goa and psy treats for now ^_- This summer alone was 7 events, 6 of them being multi-day festivals. Plenty of video if you please. Those events were in this order - Tip/Twisted Records show in Colorado, Smoke on the Water 2, SUN, Ozora, Boom, Goa Connection & Equinox. Thanks for looking and I hope to see others' clips. Im aware some regulars here stopped parties. Then do you have old clips? EDIT: i know some moments are shakey ;p from either dancing slightly, walking, talking to someone or zoomed in and every motion wobbles the view more. The full playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqF24ZQHMfW0ncGMwgOICC66w0MKzwNuF and just a fun surprise dj set I really enjoyed at SUN this summer.

while Im at it, why not share the art I have up. My dj friend Tampered DNA from Ottawa, Canada made these.

oh woa I didnt know Will was going to be there and didnt meet him ;O We somehow got connected through a friend on FB years ago and only had small chats since, one being last year. oh well. cool you both met 8) here are the pants I like that remind me of Saved By the Bell's intro. I've since had one girl say the same thing to me haha! A friend bought these at a thrift store. They didnt fit him when we got home so he gave them to me ;D the purple poncho I bought at Ozora. I always wanted a multi-colored poncho so this is close enough and I like purple, too.

keep it filthy amd shredding. rough sounds. sometimes melodic doesnt hit my mood but I still love it. The eastern goa sound is more boring to me now-a-days edit: Ya, what Ormion said. I want edgy, powerful but without the eastern-ish vibes. Suria was interesting at his start.. still all psytrance to me but he had that early sound of just getting into production where it had dark tones. then the Logical Evolution album had some medodic full-on but real energy driven. then Dark Side of the Sun was all that early neuro psy (not the high bpm that neuro is today) this early style was cool. simple, hypnotic and entrancing. taste the crunch.

Shakta - Retroscape (SUNCD34)
K-BAN replied to Anoebis's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
you make a happy K-BAN happy ;p I loved seeing him for the first time at SUN festival this year. -
ok cool 8) I can look at flights whenever for the pre-planning phase ;D Still have no idea for other plans next year.
-
ok, will do after these last Boom ones finish today...? I hope ;p ;OOO I agree. I love his album '2001' - my favorite track of his is on that one and it is 'Reality Check' - some unique or odd tracks, all which I love. But the 'Space' album is a tad better but I hate to even choose one over the other ;p ps- message the guy on FB if you really like his music. I did and we had a nice short chat 8) His view on the scene today is fitting here as well ^_-

Ultrabeat?? dayum that is a good one! ;O need MOAR!

I Just recently put up my short Filteria clip from S.U.N. festival and MANY more vids. check 'em out ;p btw, would the Visual Promotion area be best for a link to my page or is General Psytrance fine?? this made me think of S-Range and his perfect atmospheric style. My favorite prog artist and sometimes feels like the only one I like (I cant think of another now ;p)
-
its weird to see a pic of Martian Arts now since getting to spend lots of time at the campsite with him at Equinox. seeing a familiar face on the forum kind of thing ;p It was a pleasure ^_- this thread reminds me that I still need to snap a picture of my pants I like to bring every festival.
-
yeah! Represent Phi up above!! ;D I too uploaded that album on the YubTubs ;p now for the best hidden gem of 2004 and maybe the perfect full-on album ;O

Your favourite goa trance label (golden years 1993-2002)
K-BAN replied to chaoseed9's topic in General Psytrance
when I got into the music 12 years ago, I probably would of chose Matsuri or Phonokol. Now I guess it would be Flying Rhino. Mmm filthy goa -
for this "modern psytrance" - I feel you there too. Sun, Ozora and Boom had a good chunk of this. More at Boom and Ozora which kept me being elsewhere most of the event. So many drops in the progressive and breakdowns in both genres. The sound is all similar to one another. Some have said it all sounded the same 10 years ago during the full-on golden age but I will fight against that. The classic psy from 03/04 and its bits in 02 & 05 were phenomenal! I wish that to be played at parties. From the morning to the early twlight of those years. That music is now older than the goa was at those years ;O So thats why I call it classic psy 8)) like the Goatranch parties, I want a festival to pretend its the year 2004 again. I'd be so excited I might buy two entry tickets hahah! ZNA next summer is my aim. I will try only for this one unless I can catch certain artists elsewhere in relative distance or time at other festivals.
-
also where to fly into is another good thing to know ;p
-
the line-up just keeps getting better and better! Please just announce Doof already! ;p I thought so too (even if I like the guy), but I guess he is oldschool, just not AS old as the other guys. If he plays anything from 2003-2006 Im satisfied! make my dreams come true and bring back Manmademan and Audialize and throw in Toi Doi. Those are the last artists I really ever want to see perform.
-
the last time this happened to me while watching a movie was with The Virgin Suicides several months back. The sample was used by Jaws Underground in the track Out Mode. "Obviously doctor, you've never been a 13yr old girl." at 33 seconds in. Btw - this is a killer album to check out from '08!! ;O
-
cool to see friend pics or meeting up and blah blah 8) You all be having some funny posts in here I tell ya! ;p gave me some laughs.
-
In a few days when I am back from a festival I will upload the entire Lucy in Space with Diamonds - Emerald City album to YT. One full-length play of it. To me - no full-on album has been better than it since!! I think its quality is that high. It can even stand with the classic 90's releases we cant shut up about ;p heres one track
-
snaggin! Thanks, Richpa!

so far, the only one (EU-wise) Im considering for next year 8) this looks like another Psynews event haha! group pinky promise? ;p
