  1. mmhmm! I was happy he was quick to respond to me and submit 8)!! I wont lie.. I already gave his mix a listen ;p And you should be just as excited too riiight? hahah!
  2. same here. sorted this a few months back and just waiting now ;D My friend and I will arrive in Portugal the night of August 3rd from Ozora. The next morning the 4th is our boom bus. Maybe you PaulEye and I find one another at some point ;p
  3. I take it you mean old goa trance? since newschool is still too much of a term now. sorry and dont wanna anger some but lots of newschool just necessarily isnt boring but I dont notice its playing a lot of times. Its just there in the backround. so much going on at once is kind of numbing and a rhythm doesnt catch me. there are tracks in mixes where Im like "theres an example I like!!" so not all is lost with me ;pthough.. not the most boring.. I would vote that kind of prog of full-on we slammed last year for having a build-up then it returns to just a bassline. no explosive energy like nearly all full-on from 2003 had. shame shame. I can agree with a good chunk of Y2K music. Even early Absolum was real boring for me but I came to like it more. It was the "weird" time in psy for me. Haldolium comes to mind for the era. That song I can dig and would love to hear at a party. Its kind edgy and flows the others sounds around it. i see what you mean but its heaps better than mordern progressive.

  5. aw big bummer! I am always sober (except for the slight buzz at Genesis last year cuz a friend kept sharing sips of her drink. kind gesture I accepted) as I dont drink or intake anything else. This made my first 2 years of parties cool to finally be going to them but not the most fun. I wasnt too social with obvious groups of friends there and felt solo a lot. I then found other things to keep me busy another 2 years away from parties. last year I finally got great friends from festivals and I see them at each one now. Still Im there for the music first and can be solo a lot just dancing. but to have friends at parties is nice.
  6. So you are going to Boom this year? I cant remember from comments in the other thread..
  7. if all else fails, catch a set that one of the psynews guys is playing and then follow him off stage ;p
  8. oh man! this would of been a perfect party to go to before SUN. oh well... have a blast everyone! Thats so cool many of you will meet up 8) I have been trying this with my DI friends but only 4 total in one location so far haha! Maybe you think festivals are like sporting events with flashes all over, but festivals are not. I rarely see flash photography used. Dont worry about any of your concerns. Go and you will have the time of your life. You also can talk to someone pretty easily at a party when standing close by. No shouting, just loud talking ;p
  9. easy. my favorite ever has to be Morlack - Frequency Patterns October 2003. All psy trance but just the perfect selection and.. everything! so many memories in this thread when I joined DI.FM. anyone interested, I can share zeh mix 8) http://forums.di.fm/goa-and-psy/frequency-patterns-mixed-by-morlack-october-2003-a-48417/
  10. woa! didnt expect to see this as a thread. Good to see you again Exotic ^_- oh the event is still happening and I even got some invites out to some artists so a surprise mix or two still to come ;D I got Audialize for the event 8) I was with Shoom & Bloodwing (who run the goa/psy channel) in early May and they mentioned an artist or two but last I new the mixes were never submitted. Either way, lots of dj's have got their own mixes in. ps- I been slacking but need to motivate myself to get a mix done in time this year ;O Johnb820- do you have a FB account to follow the event page here? https://www.facebook.com/events/136128403224100/ and seeing you are in NY come to this event in August 8) https://www.facebook.com/events/607772512592109/
  11. I'd have to go with this funky groover by Scorb. friggin sweeeeet! no way! for really insane tracks I was thinking this too. good shot there, Anoebis! ;D again, we ARE brothers 8))
  12. I guess whether large or small, psy parties are made up of friends of friends and word of mouth mainly. Still not being in the mainstream weeds out the douchebags. even if they are the ones who TRY to bump and grind on the girls. You dont see that at parties. Woo! only once I saw an attempt but the girl was dancing circles around him haha! it really is the people. I can not be enjoying what is currently playing and hang around the fire put or anywhere else and just talk with people. Everyone seems interested in doing just that. "hey new friend over there!" haha I met some good friends all last year just from dancing nearby and we both acknowledge each other and are in the moment passionate and keep going. thats the best for me 8)
  13. there are psy festivals all over. where in the states do you live?
  14. cool! thats my bro, yo! 8) I dont know nearly anything on psyambient.
  15. sheesh! thanks and how did I not know this ;O this track is in my 3 favs for Astral P. doh! I really gotta dig back into the oldschool ;p
  16. Tellus 2's 2005 album Dikotom. More need to be aware of his two albums. such good psy trance ;D
  17. that was awesome! thanks for sharing 8) help my horrible memory.. the track 41 minutes onward? edit: nvm memory sucks ;p
  18. digging through cds today and I find Frequency Surfer and Tellus 2 - man! I should get these uploaded for whoever is unfamiliar 8) (but thats just one project I cant be doing just now ;p)
  19. Timecode - the compilations killed it! VA- The Encroachment VA- The Turning VA- Trojan Shift - Red Line - I preferred this but still liked his other albums Nexus Media Slug - Elemental - Probably my favorite album that year (ESP too) VA- Penguin Rebellion
  20. the new Cortex album has me excited. It reminds me of psy from 10 years ago. lots of different tracks on that album.
  21. Messaged ya the other day my praises on this ;D More need to be aware of this! so good! psytrance how it needs to be. thanks! and 5th album release??
  22. I never really say much to the artists or get to hang out with them. I see them in passing or just at the event. Ajja was humble and had big smiles and would be on the dancefloor catching whoever was on. Menog did this too at Equinox last year for a little bit, hanging out on the dancefloor the last night/day. Jay from Rastalians/Southwild was humble when I gave him props about his set. He then asked nearby places for food which i didnt know due to being out of town as well haha! He's always hanging about with friends. Hux Flux is tall and pretty chill as well. He came over to my car so a friend could...dig something out of his backpack ;p Pspiralife chilled by the fire pit talking to anyone. I didnt know who he was until I asked some question about him possibly playing at the event.
  23. my plans this year are a little crazy ;p I've had two parties/festivals so far. The first was a one night show on May 9th in Boulder, Colorado for the Twisted/TIP records show. Here I saw Dick Trevor play a Green Nuns set that ended with a few Dickster tracks I believe. Hallucinogen set and Joe Russo played drums - that was ok but Simon being there was worth it. Raja Ram was all over. some classic tip releases/stash bag stuff and cheesey psy. Man that guy is energetic though. Smoke on the Water 2 festival here in NY was this past weekend the 16th-18th. Seeing Rastaliens/Southwild perform under each name is always a fun one. This has been my third time seeing him do that. He's kind of a local since he's in Toronto, Canada not too far away and good buddies with my friend who threw the event. Mullet Mohawk/Pavel Svimba had two awesome sets! I had a Mullet Mohawk video on youtube (Echo Lake) several dj friends there killed it! upcoming SUN Festival Absolum & Christof set, Prana (Tsuyoshi set), Slinky Wizard, Shakta, Bumbling Loons, Logic Bomb classic set, Man With No Name, Hallucinogen, Pleiadians, Etnica, Vibrasphere set, Dickster, X-Dream, Eat Static - have to catch these! interested in more chill stage - Aes Dana, Carbon Based Lifeforms, BB303(as suggested from the other thread), Jame Monro minimal set, Atmos, Sync24, Solar Fields, Ott, Vibrasphere again, George Barker. Ozora Scorb, Koxbox, Ozric Tentacles, Dick Trevor, Poli, Nuky, Braincell, Rastalians & Southwild, Chromatone, Astral Projection, Deedrah, Ajja. Boom Medicine Drum, Dick Trevor 3hr set, Green Nuns, Penta (just noticed him!), Filteria, Man With No Name, Hux Flux, Eat Static, Nebula Meltdown, Parasense, Shane Gobi, System 7, Loopus in Fabula Goa Connection (NY) - not much announced so far. Dickster, Shoom, Bloodwing & Sanguine Mandragoa, Goadream, Braincell Circuit Breakers, Burn in Noise, Psypien,Eduardo Dudu, Izzy. Equinox - a chunk of friends playing here & the above event. Shoom, Bloodwing, Sanguine Mandragoa, Kameleon, Goadream, MadHatter, Kri, Hypnotoad, Om Olak, Dragram, Witchdokta, Martian Arts, Annunaki. lots of artists listed Im not the most familiar with but have been seeing their names for years hence my interest in seeing them.
  24. After having two awesome albums, this broke my heart years ago. I hate to admit it but it sounds better than I remember, yet still garbage ;p CPU - Discodelic
