  3. I'm a huge 80's electro fan, but I think that most of it was just released on vinyl as singles... Only a few compilations I know of : MANTRONIX THE BEST OF 1985-1999 + some of the Perfect Beats compilations had some electro. I try to make it, but it doesn't sound like the old, vocoder box stuff...
  4. First exciting thing on here for a long, long time. Hello everyone! Maybe I'll actually stay for a while hmn
  5. Yea, I gave in to the hype and saw this movie last summer. I thought the acting was just so-so and the movie did not remind me of dreams at all. The script was the worst thing though, almost laughably bad.
  6. I actually thought he was dead already, but he is missed as well as the great movies he was in.
  7. He's right, they truly are not dancing properly in that video. Great music though.
  8. My kind of guy. Thanks for the link!
  9. The chair of the music school here used to work for Atari.
  10. One of my all-time favorite movies.
  11. Two movies - quite different The Eternal Sunshine ...blah blah - This was pure Holliwood garbage. With so many good reviews this movie reminded me that I generally hate what other people like. The acting was OK, but it was such an immature storyline I couldn't fall for the plot. I am not going to get into all the ways this movie sucked, but everyone says that the plot was original. Bull! memories were erased in the sci-fi classic Total Recall. The love story seems fake from the beginning and is a replay of a bunch of other plots from numerous films. I notice that women are portrayed as whores more and more these days in American movies. Jim Carry plays Jim Carry very well. 3/10. UNDERGROUND - This is set in Serbia and Croatia and starts during WW2. A bit of a stretch with the plot, but the scenes and the acting and the story are fabulous. They tried for a lot of symbolism in this and it nearly all works. I laughed and I cried, it is a rare movie that will do that. 9/10.
  12. ...and I had stopped going there Really 9/10 times I have gone to places here and found nothing at all. Sucked ever since Ozone closed.
  13. WHO LOVES YOU AND WHO DO YOU LOVE _ THE MESSIAH WHO LOVES YOU AND WHO DO YOU LOVE _ THE MESSIAH WHO LOVES YOU AND WHO DO YOU LOVE _ THE MESSIAH ...
  14. Haha YEA I have been around this scene in Seattle and I get so sick of the ultra-dumb lyrics that I just can't listen for more than a minute or two. I am a purist that believes the underground should have smart lyrics or none at all.
  15. This is kind of experimental/psy with a non 4/4 beat... http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnaMAs0JEuU Short Bio: Started creating music in 1996 to replace going to raves filled with drug-addled youth. Influenced by Kraftwerk, Front 242, Richard James, Orbital, Herbie Hancock, Afrika Bombata among others. Decided on the name The Sky Electric for my music project one stormy night in 1998. Played live in the Midwest in the late 1990's before going on a hiatus. Created my first video for YouTube in 2010.
  16. I would like to make a video to put on Youtube but I have no clue what the best (easiest) way is. I just want to make a simple thing to share music with so I don't spend tonnes of time making the video.
  17. Brand new music from The Sky Electric Listen to upcoming ep here.
  18. I will sell Eat Static - Epsylon Mammoth Records for $1000 US dollars.
  19. I really like the effect of a bandpass filter on a good string patch. Experiment until you get the right effect.
  20. Saw The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus yesterday. The story was reminiscent of a fable, the visuals of the imaginarium were OK. It was kind of odd with the character played by Heath Leger and two other actors switching, but I was prepared for that. 8/10
  21. I'm reading One - Dimensional Man by Herbert Marcuse for my sociology class.
