  1. It is a well-known technique to put a microphone underwater to record the sound. Sounds travel very well underwater and in the Antarctic, where the waves are under ice, it should provide an ideal listening environment. I have no doubt that these are real recordings (condensed and panned) of seals. Nature is great inspiration for me.
  2. Depends upon the person, some naturally acquire an expanded conscious. Most, however, are constrained by physical and social borders that greatly limit the extent to which the mind can perceive of the real world. Lies and misinformation play a role as well. They distort what a person thinks is real, but also how one can come to the truth. There is a reason that expanding consciousness is called a journey, it is because it almost always happens through great physical work and/or hardship. Also, physically travelling is the most common way to expand one's consciousness and one I recommend to anyone. Wisdom is like a one-way glass pane.
  3. I saw a dead seal on the beach in September. just thought I'd throw that out there
  4. Ack! I can't stand what they did to the vocals on that.
  5. Stuff like THIS makes me want either a handrum or samples I can play from my DAW. Do any good sample packs exist for this instrument ?
  6. I wonder how good that sounds in real life? Thanks for sharing
  7. LOL That is crazy! (that is actually from a comment, not IM) So you can promote your music on other people's sites and have your volume higher to drown out the music hosted there.... hAhAHHAHAHAHA hi-lareous Shows what happens when you eat too many infected mushrooms.
  8. Noticed this on Chrome's new feature. Themes Gallery
  9. I still think we should have a technology subforum here.

    Trailers

With some movies, it doesn't matter if you see the trailer....the movie 2012, for example, plot - the Earth blows up.
  11. Do like the real producers and have two sets of monitors. The reason is because the powered studio monitors most people get make the music sound too good. The Yamaha NS10s are the standard for mastering because if you can get your music to sound good on these, it'll sound good on anything.
  12. I would use something else to control midi with and just record the sweet sounds of your SH-101. I guess you would need a CV converter to control the SH-101 with a computer controlled sequencer or DAW. If none of this works for you, you can sell me the SH-101...
  13. favorite.... hard to say, I have the lara palmer ep from last year, but its not a fav
  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHH choke HAHAHAAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAH
  15. Some Classics: The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1974) A classic for no other reason then its great use of stopmotion animation, this movie is actually kind of corny with lines like "Trust in Alla, but tie up your camel." It was the second movie in a trilogy of Sinbad movies and probably the weakest of the three, but it does have babage going for it, when Sinbad frees a slavegirl. 6/10 The Blob (1958) This movie was obviously made for teens and young adults in the '50s, but it's still surprisingly good today. It is slow going by today's movie standards, but if you listen, the dialog is thought provoking. I'm still waiting for a blob to eat a small American town. 8/10
  16. So Lemingwinks, I didn't realize you were actually a teenibopper girl.
  17. Its weird, but I have made some of my most popular stuff in short periods of time. Maybe music is like cheese.
