  1. Great music! There were some people around here that made 8bit music. Its been a couple years, don't know if they still do...
  2. Sometimes it seems if they take too long they end up not as good. For me, it is faster to just start over from the beginning then to try to fix. Though, it is hard to give up.
  3. Lucky bastard, the last promo I got was Banco de Gaia - "You are Here" album years ago.
  4. Link created in 1999, but only recently mastered it was my reaction to Columbine High School shootings of that year
  5. It is awesome. I thought about doing a complete review of it, but don't think my opinion means much here. But, I will say that once you use it you will want to keep it and use it on all of your new music from then on.
  6. I always wonder why people dig up these old topics...
  7. The story is really everyman's worst nightmare, to have a horrible mutated child by a woman that you don't love and be stuck with it. Now I know why this is such a cult classic and a deserving one too. I didn't expect such a minimalist movie. It was bare bones, but that added to the dread feeling. A Classic!
  8. Is it illegal for a group to change? Just because you know them for a sound from 18 years ago doesn't mean they are going to sound the same today! :drama: I like this better then their hit "The Power", good video too.

    Eraserhead

I saw Eraserhead for the first time ever last night. If you haven't already, go out and rent this movie right now so you can contribute to this tribute thread. To say that this movie was odd, or weird would be an understatement. But then you already knew that. Symbolism: the baby; the thing he finds in the mailbox, the singing girl....discuss What was your favorite scene? I loved the line from the girlfriend's father, was something like "people in this neighborhood think pipes grow by themselves..." or how about "I've lived here since before this neighborhood became the hellhole it is today" I was like crazy in this movie. I really couldn't rate it. It was just too different and...special to compare this movie to ordinary movies.
  10. I wholeheartily agree here. Make sure you check out FM synthesis! Its the classic sound you never will know how you lived without.
  11. Don't buy softsynths, buy effects . . . I recommend Waves platinum pack... you can make sound efx with your armpits 'n put cool effects on 'em! Ok, serious now, more people should live record and have better effects invest in a field recorder instead - its more phun!
