  1. I hear you. This is soooo obvious! Even if there were new forum rules I wouldn't read them. :wank:
  2. No, No, No, Because we got rid of the freestyle topic there are no more spammers here.
  3. No, no, I agree, I agree! I was googling female DJs in Seattle because there used to be a couple (lesbian?) djs there. Around the world there are a few scattered fems making music, haven't heard nor seen for a while though.
  4. This thread is about showing pictures of beautiful/hot DJ's and producers. Because we don't see them every day....or week...
  5. Yea, I'm gonna add that to my cart...lol
  6. Internet archive is great, fastest downloads anywhere. Lots of times I won't bother if the download speed is snail pased.
  7. rap has become kinda a joke, but just the other day I was listening to RUN-DMC's first album :posford:
  8. please check out my new music Here
  9. I grew up listening to singles on the radio so when I finnally could make my own music I approached in one single at a time. I go from one style of music to another and, when I think of it, that reflects my expirience listening to random music from many sources. So when I think of music, I think of a song between 3 and 10 minutes long produces in a studio and played on a stereo. That is just me and I know some people are attached to the album with a group of songs picked and ordered according to a theme or a specific genre. Some people even have different names they call themselves based upon what genre they are making/selling. I don't think one is better then the other but it is quite a contrast and one that provides some confusion for fans.
  10. Aren't we cute We cannot consciously disern fequencies above 20kHz that is true, but we do notice a difference. When soundwaves bounce they produce subfrequencies in different ranges so the higher frequenceis get deflected and produce sets of waves in different frequencys, some of which we can hear. I probably didn't do a very good job explaining this, but it is complicated. The best way to know the difference is to A-B two sets of speakers with differing frequency responces.
  11. Last night it was about the dinosours. That's right, dinosours - green ones. But then I digress.
  12. To me, panning is about as important as it gets. I don't feel I'm truely done with a track until I've spent some time checking different positions in the mix. That's positions - also concider depth of field. Effect (like reverb, echo) wet/dry will control how close a sound appears in the mix. To make minor sounds stand out, think about panning far left or right. I personally like music that envelopes you. That is, you feel surrounded by the sound. You can only do that with channels dedicated to specific areas in the stereo field. There is a mixing engineer's handbook to read.
  13. I've found expirimentation is just plain a good idea. I have been doing the above with my little phatty, surf through presets with an effect chain all set up. You can also take a white noise source and pile on effects to get cool stuff.
  14. silly wabbit, in twenty years it will be remade again.
  15. This is the place to discuss your expiriences with effect chains in your vst host. Tell us your tips, tricks, and stories of what works since there are infinite configurations. Example, I was playing around with a channel with Audio Damages' Fuzz plus first, followed by a flange and then a short delay. I'd provide a picure, but I'm not on my laptop.
  16. Good covers on here fo sure. :clapping:
  17. Only the noobs don't bring water. Perhaps its just me, but don't wear a polyester shirt - BAD for dancing in.
  18. I am thinking of sending something to a pro masterer aswell. I have also (finally) been using a new limiter for the final mix. But yea, a lot of it is just good EQing.
