Wow, really ? even drone ambient has too many releases . . . I thought true drone ambient was kinda rare. I like some of the artists you listed and I know what you are saying about a lot of attempts that miss it. I think it is a really hard genre to get right. I went right from drone ambient to power noise but I rarely look for either. I don't define Time Hecker as drone ambient either, just ambient. Drone ambient to me is a real drone sound, quite busy and complex but with no note starts or obvious stops. It is probably a specialized art using a field recorder and some found objects.

It always sells more than the 'underground' variety because it has the catchy melodies and snappy synthesizers. There is almost never a story or meaning in the music, totally mindless. You can find it all over the world, with a history of sales, distribution is widespread.

Yea, I read the only reason Morsi got elected is because the Muslim Brotherhood was the only organized party at the time. Democracy needs a large amount of groups/people with about the same amount of power. Only by realizing shared power is the only way to effectively govern will a country create a democratic form of government. This is the reason countries with a wide disparity of power do not form democratic governments. It is also the reason an increasing gap between the rich and the poor is a threat to democracy in places like the USA.

I don't know what you would call this, but I can get very ill and pass out at the suggestion of trauma. For instance in the move Pi when the guy has is mental thing I passed out watching it. In other movies with strong trauma I have gotten ill as well, so I try to avoid these movies. I have also passed out donating plasma. The lady next to me said "you have really red blood" and that was all it took. Maybe I'm just a pansy.
