    Memory

My memory is unusual. I can usually remember a place even if I've only been there once, like I could probably get around ok in Split. Names I usually cannot remember unless they are really unusual like the coworker I had years ago from Somalia named Abdi Jamma. I can remember back to when I was 3 riding in my bright red wagon.
  2. Taking a drum sample and remashing it up ala dnb is the basis for this idea in which every beat was messed with-
  3. Thanks Lemmiwinks, your my source for finding out what THE sound coming out of Belgium this year is
  4. Watching people go blind and starve to death. The Romans couldn't have done better.
  5. I've seen a lot of female DJs. Lived in the NW for 9 years and probably saw 24-30 play at clubs and parties. None of them played psytrance.
  6. I heard about these a long time ago and I think they have sold drinks with them in them before. I think torine is concidered one and that's in Red Bull..
  7. Here is a link to a good story about the exposure to radiation on the way to and from Mars. It states the exposure for the trip to and from Mars to be 660mSv. So 180x2 gives you the 60% of the standard career exposure limit for space agencies today (1000mSv). Quick math gives me 600 days to increase cancer risk by 5%. The Curiosity rover is a great instrument for this kind of information.
  8. There's definitely something different with the forum today.
  9. There is certainly good practical scientific work that could be done on mars. Will beans grow in martian soil? Will fungus survive? How far down do you have to dig to find water reservoirs ? Is there life trapped underground in caverns? All of those questions would take some time to answer and in the mean time you would have to survive in the same box you arrived in because there is no shielding the cosmic rays that bombard all the planets. You would be eating freeze-dried paste every day hoping to get something growing before your stores of paste ran out and you starved.
  10. so true Yea, if anyone asks me why I don't make psytrance I will just refer them to this video.
  11. Going to Mars on this 'mission' would be the last thing you ever do. They make no bones about it being a one-way thing, they are looking for an older couple because they are the most stable psychologically and probably because if they died it wouldn't be as bad as if a 20-something girl died... Companies all over are looking for new ways to make money and extracting minerals from the deep sea, asteroids, and even Mars has come up but they need people who will risk their lives to do the work. The early work will be the hardest and the most dangerous. I will bet there are many pages of wavers you would have to sign to go do this kind of thing - but there are a lot of unemployed people! So, come work for me, I will be starting a deep-sea mining company soon...just don't expect a glamorous life, a great place to live, or even much of a future. Death could come at any time, but hey! it beats what your doing now, right - right.
  12. Just another remake to me. Although I love the looks of Carey Mulligan's short flapper hair I know they would never do the novel justice. This review is all I need to know http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv-movies/great-gatsby-movie-review-article-1.1339361
  13. Like Rolling Stone said: the term is basically meaningless It was used to describe such a wide variety of music that any underground music from the time could fit. I still feel the term is dated now though, it can't be that hard to invent new genre names can it?
  14. People confuse the fact that all animals have thoughts and feeling for the existence god. We are all intertwined into an amazing ecosystem of which no one can know completely but that does not mean that we should invent easy answers to explain or give a hierarchy of creation. Science and religion both fall into the same human nature traps of exposing our prejudices for order and planning. Religion just got started a lot earlier and thus is more mired into it than science has been. The break from believing in a god is akin to not believing in Earth as the center of the Universe. It is more than some people can do.
