I guess this is used more in EU then USA. I haven't heard much of this kind of music that, by the way was just called 'trance' back when it was more common. Yes trance used to be much slower and more interesting before certain DJs decided to make it standard dance 4/4 music. There is a huge, huge variety of trance made in the 1990's that you could call emotional and fresh but it's getting harder and harder to find.
