  1. Hallucinogen - Angelic Particles Spin no 134957823049862689234520346 This is the only goatrance I need really.
  2. Eat Static - Bony Incus (Man With No Name Mix) :posford:
  3. J.S. Bach - Toccata et Fuga (BWV 565)
  4. Yeah sometimes I love minimal music and sometimes I despise it, but it´s hard to tell exactly when I like it or not... comes down to very personal taste. Like Stars of the Lid, they make minimal drone music in their own specific style and I really like their album the Ballasted Orchestra, but then I got ´The Tired Sounds Of...` and I found it exactly like the title says, dreadfully boring and tiresome
  5. but people can only make general claims like this and that artist have been very influential to a lot of other artists (based on what these other artist told themselves and how much the music resembles)... it´s hard to get really specific about this subject especially if we talk about electronic music in general, so these lists are still largely subjective IMO
  6. Listening to a certain artist Lab´s Cloud on di.fm chillout channel http://forums.di.fm/showthread.php?t=92746 have to say it´s very nice so far :clapping:
  7. beautiful, atmospheric, original, inspired, imaginative, deep, spaced out, psychedelic, not-too-minimal & free-of-genre-restrictions ambient
  8. why the question marks? most ppl just mention some favorites anyway...and those first 3 definately belong to my favorites also we gotta define influential: to whom, to what or to your own taste? and even if we can agree on a definition, it's still hard to say anything meaningful about the degree of influence of a certain artist...it's not like you can measure it
  9. STEVE ROACH - ON THIS PLANET These are the kind of tracks that make him just about my favorite artist ever. This music is like an addiction and nothing else comes even close.
  10. Paul Ellis - Shining I can't express how awesome this track is.
  11. +1 Very nice review with imaginative descriptions. A great collaboration between two of ambient's greatests. I especially like the first half of the album. Sound quality is also excellent.
  12. Delerium - Wavelength Awesome.
  13. Steve Roach & Vir Unis - Neural Connection Fantastic of course.
  14. Tangerine Dream - Rubycon Part 1 The album has been in the UK album charts in 1975, highest position number 10.
  15. IMO none of the artists I've heard have a unique style and sound of their own that could really seperate them from the others. The music is a little too generic and lacks depth. I'm generalizing a little here and I definately like some stuff. It's all well made music, but so far nothing that is really awesome to my taste.
  16. S-Tone Inc - Saudade I really like this bossa music :posford: :posford: can't stop moving
  17. Psychedelic Bossa My idea is to combine mostly the beats/rhythms/percussion and partially other sounds or melodies from electronic Bossa (?) music, like this: http://www.mediafire.com/?2kfdfyx3pws with some typical psytrance synth sounds, 303ish loops & FX So basicly you remove certain elements from the bossa and add psytrance elements instead. Some sort of combination between these styles must be possible. Maybe Shpongle - My Head Feels Like a Frisbee is a bit like this. But then with more trance sounds. In my imagination the result would be something really refreshing and insanely groovy, psychedelic and danceable. :posford:
  18. Big Bud - Blueberry Muffins :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford:
