  1. Last track of Yeti 1 and last track of Shpongle 1 are my favorite psybient tracks to date.
  2. Klaus Schulze (& Ashra) - Return Of The Tempel I've been listening to this long track a lot lately. It's the masters at work... Has to be some of the best post-70s Schulze stuff (and completely different from his synth classics). They create a tension and keep holding on to it for very long (as usual)... lots of details and subtle changes...very nice guitar. They are not virtuosos and it is not really complex melody-wise, but it is superbly excecuted, spontanious electronic music... just honest music. This is stuff you have to listen to over and over again to appreciate. I myself can't sit still when listening... but it's probably acquired taste. I've uploaded a fragment here to give you an idea: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UGK23O8B
  3. Well IMO... innovation is a factor, but not that important... I don't see the point in incorperating all sorts of elements from different genres..that's not what makes music good music. Good music is timeless.... and good music can be made with exactly the same techniques and sounds (except for too much chanting vocals etc.) used in psychill today.
  4. radi, you don't have a clue now about that track I don't see what's so special about that intro a couple of chords and some chanting.. then the track starts nice JR track btw
  5. Tangerine Dream - Ricochet Part II play count: 78490346396625132764979788463946 PAGE 700 OWNED HA!

  7. Jonn Serrie - Stratos Very nice if you have a head ache. I feel lighter.
  8. STEVE ROACH - ON THIS PLANET that's the way - aha aha - I like it
  9. Steve Roach - On This Planet (title track) I'm starting to worship this track. So beautiful and deep. Roach is the steppest master of the deppest ambient.
  10. ok, maybe you can't make a good comparison.. I can't help but comparing because the music does share certain similarities
  11. Some of that stuff is like.. all sounds, no music. It might be good technically, but the music itself often sounds superficial and overdone to my ears... though I'm sure there are exceptions Take the almighty Global Communication - 76:14 from 1994... and tell me if anything from the chilled-downtempo-trance-psybient style could beat that.
  12. Three Drives On A Vinyl - Greece 2000 (Man With No Name Mix)
  13. Hi Are you 146 Technology make goapsytek danceable?

  15. Electronic music is based upon artists who use electronic instruments. DJs are only important for playing dance music. Anyway, it would be pretty cool to be a DJ, but I could never play too much of the same stuff for hours..... I wouldn't pay attention to genres and just try to mix all sorts of different stuff.
