  1. KLAUS SCHULZE - FLOATING The track of my life. I could play it almost every day.
  2. wow Cubase 4... but I'm already using 5.1
  3. I expected nothing less from you
  4. check out the 25 minute masterpiece Robert Rich - The Other Side of Twilight =) it simply has to be Robert Rich' best track, but if anyone thinks he made something even better I'd like to know one of those tracks that is really at the top of all ambient music...
  5. Aahh gives me the chills... when the bassy sequence comes in you can hear the applause. This was trance music 30 years ago (and it's still good).
  6. Well then.... Psyclops has to be mine!
  7. http://www.sonymusic.com/labels/sonyclassi...nderEPK_450.asx Vangelis on Alexander I like it, but at the same time I find it quite laughable. I mean, there's something undeniably cheesy in what he says and in the music he makes (and the movie itself is utter crap). Still, he's good and one of a kind... =) Check out his setup, it seems he made it in such a way that he can play live with a massive symphonic sound.
  8. and Vangelis - Blade Runner, of course........... the best.
  9. Jerry Goldsmith - The 13th Warrior soundtrack is nice and has symphonic and ethnic elements. Danny Elfman - Edward Scissorhands is very beautiful and fairytale-like. Hans Zimmer - Black Hawk Down is a nice mixture of stuff
  10. Vangelis - Alexander has some nice symphonic and ethnic tracks, but the album has been bashed by a lot by fans... and not without reason because it gets pretty cheesy sometimes... however there are very nice tracks too IMO. Also check out "Closing Titles from Mutiny On The Bounty".
  11. Vangelis - Memories of Green Vangelis is a musical genius.
  12. First 3 or 4 tracks of Stalker... are like THE perfect subtle, haunting music. Ah well I love anything I've heard from Lustmord, except Metavoid.
  13. Rachmaninov - Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini one of my favorite pieces of music
  14. Well well, seems you are creating quite a collection there Time_Trap I like Monstrous Soul and Stalker (especially the first half of Stalker) too. Methinks Heresy and Place Where The Black Stars Hang are Lustmord's best.
  15. Did I ever mention MICHAEL STEARNS - PLANETARY UNFOLDING The ultimate bedtime-headphone-mindtrip ambient spacemusic, made on a big modular synth in 1981 or so. I very much doubt anything like this can be made today on a computer with softsynths. In theory it can be done alright, but in no way it will sound like this. The album is obscure and relatively unknown, only praised by a small group of people. You can't get it anywhere, except ... and about the music: I could only describe it with an endless list of superlatives
  16. cool.. I just played Global Communication - 9:25 for the third time, so that will be my track of the day. I love the dreamy and positive vibes..and the cool beats.
