  1. For me that is something that is at least highly melodic and rhythmic at some point... and hypnotic and spacy.... and 'full', 'warm' and 'organic' sounding... Some stuff I would even describe as "organized chaos"..... it has to have a certain special touch that makes me say it's psychedelic.
  2. for me it's more of a slow process instead of suddenly getting it there's a lot of music that's immediately nice the first time (and a lot that isn't), but my real favorites have always required time to get into.... but when I finally get the whole picture, they will be favorites forever
  3. Steve Roach & Vir Unis - Born of Fire simply awesome
  4. don't know him, sounds interesting
  5. Cass and Slide - Perception (new vocal mix) Really like it =)
  6. nope, you liek it? methinks biosphere can be a bit boring
  7. Michael Hoenig - Departure from the Northern Wasteland
  8. Indeed another awesome track from the Greek maestro Vangelis. Stuff like that puts a lot of today's electronic musicians in their place.
  9. http://www.colleenplays.org/SOUNDS/sounds.htm# some of the samples are quite nice but the quality sucks so yes, it exists
  10. by coincidence I just read this topic on hypnos (ambient) forum: http://207.234.140.108/ubb/ultimatebb.php?...ic;f=7;t=001623 about some chick who uses guitar and other accoustic instruments and loop devices in real time to make ambient-like music, or something
  11. It's something I discovered and listened to for a short while... I thought it was really cool (actually, cheesy and cool at the same time).. but after a short while the thrill was over... I never really liked it that much again. What makes it nice are the fat analog leads, the catchy/funky rhythms and basslines and also the imperfection because it's not always as perfectly tight as todays dance music.
  12. Klaus Schulze - Return Of The Tempel (with Ashra on guitar) Wooooow!!!!!! Completely different from his 70s classics. But what a piece...... it's fantastic aural entertainment (except the stupid keyboard-saxophone). There's such a great pace to this music, it keeps me moving all the time. And I loooove the guitar. Music, just endless music, for dreamers like me, that's what it is. You either totally love or hate this. Call it easy listening for all I care. In that case, I like easy listening!
  13. PETE NAMLOOK & BILL LASWELL - THE FATE OF ENERGY SO BLOODY AWESOME
  14. Steve Roach - To The Threshold of Silence
  15. Ritchie Hawtin & Pete Namlook - Do Bassdrums Have Feelings? funny title
