  1. Tetsu Inoue - Chill In Chill Out I simply can't express how good and beautiful this track is. All ambient producers must pay tribute. Especially the psy ones
  2. women make electronic music? what planet? set a course!
  3. genre: don't care best descriptions of the trance music I like would be deep & chill + deep & uplifting + uplifting & high energy
  4. Quiet is the New Loud!!!! One of my favorite floaters. Exactly how I like it. Some progressive psy and 'normal' progressive trance are becoming very much alike. I guess Antix is an example of this. You people should look outside your little boxes and check out other progressive trance artists that are not associated with the 'psy scene', because there's some nice stuff to be found there as well.
  5. Selected tracks from the great Super Castlevania 4 soundtrack (Konami, 1991) Always inspiring. It's a work of art.
  6. here's my setup ^^ http://web.media.mit.edu/~joep/MPEGs/Joe_Synth.mpg

    IDM

I don't like the abstract, noisy, cold, soulless, 'who can make the weirdest sounds, rhythms and random melodies' type of IDM. Ulrich Schnauss however is awesome (has nothing to do with the music I described above)...
  8. the guy has some great stuff indeed
  9. Human Blue - Carpe Diem Beautiful. One of the few trance tracks in existance that gets me a bit emotional.
  10. Lustmord - Heresy Lustmord - The Monstrous Soul Lustmord - Zoetrope Robert Rich & Lustmord - Stalker I like these especially because they all have a few short hints, that suggest sinister events taking place...the rest is up to your imagination (some hints are not exactly subtle, but it's still very cool )
  11. track: Klaus Schulze - Are We Getting Lost? awful rubbish or supreme genius? I can't choose... maybe a bit of both
  12. I've only heard some bits and pieces...the music was great but the overall sound quality was a bit too messy/chaotic, too much reverb/delay probably.
  13. Klaus Schulze - Floating (from Moondawn The Original Master) Greatest spacerock track of all time...... check In top 5 of greatest electronic tracks ever...... check In top 5 of greatest psychedelic tracks ever...... check Incredible buildup, drive and flow...... check Fastest 27 minutes of your life...... check
  14. I've been checking out more (old and recent) goatrance/psytrance/psyambient lately and I'm sorry to say that I have come to the conclusion that as a whole, psy is not much better than the rest. Even recommendations I got from respected members I found really disappointing. Let's face it, 4x4 electronic dance styles basicly suck by default and only a small % of it, the absolute best of the best, is really good and worthy of repeated listenings. Maybe psy has a slightly higher % of good stuff. But the more I listen to it, the more I realize it doesn't really rise above the rest like I felt at first. Oh well I guess I'm simply very selective.
  15. I've edited your list so Vangelis won't be offended.
  16. ok sure... I still like it better than the terrible track you posted.
