I am the sixth person in this thread who is going to declare you an official idiot. Point given. There are quite a few people on this very same forum who have given me loads of music for free, never asking anything in return. Why should I offer somebody "X" dollars if I can politely ask and get the tunes for free? Not my fault the only way you can get rare tunes is offering big bucks for 'em. That sucks. Same as other people around here, I'd give anything to anybody if they ask me to. Always glad to help, and don't want money in return for ripped music files.

1. Try Gus Till's 2nd installation of Best Of The Rhino Years series. It's progressive, with great drive, and amazing morphing sounds and effects; no cheese or fluffyness. 2. I dunno, suomi is for me as psychedelic as psy trance gets these days. For better or for worse, that is up to you to decide... Oh yeah, there is this Japanese act, I reckon it's called Phi(??), which I remeber being awesome. Scatterbrain's "Infernal angel" was a spectacular psy trance gem, Jikkenteki, naturally. The old school sound of Space Tribe is cool, IMHO. I don't like Boris Blenn's sound and style, like, at all... His tracks One Love, Electronic Pulsation and Out Of Time from the E.U. debut are amazing, and there were some decent tunes on Paradise Connection, but overall his music is naaaaaaaaaah.

Celestial, no doubt about it. But frankly I am not that much of a Chi A.D. fan. In my opinion, he makes albums with 2-3 top notch, bar none tracks, with the rest being horse fodder. In fact, I don't remember a single one of his albums, but his killer tracks are all chained to my mind (and my CD player)! Bottom line is: when Dave Young is on fire, I can barely imagine him getting outplayed, outdone or outmatched, but there are just times when 4-5 minutes into a track of his, I desperately reach for the skip skip skip button.

For quite probably the first time in my life I have no clue... There is soooooooo much stuff out there, this mass production has been doing quite a lot of damage to my financial status lately. I usually don't rant about not being able to buy all I want, but this is different. At least before, I knew what it was that I really wanted. V/A Peace therapy 2 sounds like something you'd like for real Shulman perhaps. V/A Vajra is one I vaguely remember having tunes you ought to like, as well as Cell's "Phonic peace". Try some of those. I know. And it sounds like utter crap unless you spend a fortune on decent equipment. On the other hand, it doesn't take anything more than a free for download EAC software to rip original CDs in full lossless quality. Ripped vinyl can sound good, and in my house it does (very much so), but there is nothing that even remotely touches the sound quality of a good vinyl. Nothing. Touches. The sound that is. Nothing.

Agreed. On a personal level, there is no difference in having an original audio CD and lossless WAVs/FLACs ripped onto your comouter, and then eventually burning them to a high quality CD-R. Vinyl, on the other hand, is in a league of its own. I've got plenty music on wax, and while I am no sound engineer, from what I have gathered during the years, a well mastered vinyl cannot be surpassed in terms of sound clarity, wealth and detail. Don't take my words for granted though, as I came to this conclusion aided only by a pair of relatively healthy ears. Vinyl rocks.

Why not PM mars or Anoebis, who run Suntrip Records and are both active members of this very forum. And I'm pretty sure beatspace has those releases in stock, and they accept any payment method. Just ask a friend to help you out with the money transfer.

I don't completely disagree with you, just that... You cannot limit a fanbase without knowing how big it is. You cannot let the amount of phisically printed copies of an album detrmine who is a "true" fan and who isn't. And you usually don't pay for gifts, the whole point of a gift is that it is gifted or plain given to you. Anyways, I don't mind the entire concept of limited edition releases, but what just bugs the hell out of me is that most listeners have an urge to think they're on some other shit just because they are "1 out of the 500"... There is this general unwritten rule when people assume an album is an instant classic and a quintiseential release just because it was limited to under a 1000 copies. Sure Ultimae struck a chord with this alleged marketing trick, but properly releasing the limited ones would successfully transform the marketing into cash flow, IMHO.

"Physical": vinyl - one and only, call me old fashioned, I passionately love all of my vinyls with inexplicable intensity! "Digital": 320kbps MP3 - I play these everywhere, be it my portable music player, kitchen stereo while doing the dishes, computer, bed room stereo...

I am dying for a copy of Solar Fields "Extended" album, which is the only ambeint/downtempo/chill album I fell in love with after Dreamfish debut. The first tune off that album is amazing. Other than that I don't know anything about Ultimae. The H.U.V.A. guys seem to be gettig quite a lot of praise, but I've nevargh listened to the album. I have an illegaly downloaded copy of "Extended" and this time around have no trouble confessing it in public as I'd rather do that than fatten any one of those discogs sellers' bank accounts...

No disrespect to anyone, but if the above is right up your alley, feel free to skip anything with the tag "Etnica" and/or "Pleiadians" on it. They're quite probably the finest thing my ears have heard happen to goa trance, but have barely anything to do with what you're after. But not giving them a try would be missing out on something, no doubt. Anyways, try Androcell, and his Distant System (side) project. Though there is nothing that even remotely comes to hinting at sounding like Shpongle, this dude has some nice tricks up his sleeve. Check out both albums by Hallucinogen's pupil, Prometheus. Give Shulman a try. Carbon Based Lifeforms for some amazing chill out are cool for some chilled out atmospherics. If you're into Astral Projection, give Miranda's album "Phenomena" and MFG's "The Prophecy" and "New kind of world" and Total Eclipse's "Violent relaxation". For something along hallucinogenic lines, check out Ubar Tmar's "Fusion" and M.E.E.O.'s "Highlight me please"... Some of these are quite easy to find, others'll give you headaches. Enjoy!

I agree with vlnik. If you really want a release, there are no obstacles you will not overcome in order to get it. Period. That said, V/A Cosmic Conspiracy has got to be one of the worst musical experiences I have ever encountered. It is so painfully bad my ears refuse to bleed. Instead, the blood clots up and amassess bulks of solid haemoglobin inside my head, thus preventing the acoustic waves from devastating my head phones. Just playing. Congrats though, vlnik, this is one of the hardest ones to fetch. To each his own.

My apologies and all, but not even an apparent collection of 500 old school CDs can save you from looking kind of lost around this thread. How can it impossible to comprehend music while dancing around if goa trance is a style of music which has its origins strictly tied to the party scene, dancing like nobody's watching and smiling like Joker was your brother in law? The original sound actually had only 2-3 prominent and emphasized layers blasting out of the speakers, and you'd be comprehending and appreciating the music while jumping around and dancing to it. Hippies didn't sit around camp fires and contemplate during Total Eclipse's live acts. They danced. Laughed. Jumped around. And, of course, comprehended. Suntrip Records? Not everything they do is ace, but it's obvious they do it with a passion. A few times I found myself going berserk on the dance floor while tunes from Suntrip artists were playing. I like 'em, and like Oopie said, they ain't Etnica/Pleiadians, but at the end of the day, nobody is. Keep up the good work.
