LOL, I cannot explain it either. But whatever the fuck was this guy trying to say with the above quoted equations, you just cannot not agree. It seems to me like the Posford freaks have developed their own linguistical code or something.

LOL, how about you give me around 6 of your 10 thousand CDs, and I, in return, would give you my party memoirs?

Plastic EP already reserved for a reaaaaaally tempting offer IMHO...

I am willing to trade the following items: Etnica- Plastic EP (CD Maxi) (1997) (Blue Room Released) (BR 027 CD) http://www.discogs.com/release/76593 Both the CD and the sleeve are in absolute mint condition, the CD Maxi case has a 1.5cm crack on the front, in the bottom left corner. Eternal Basement- Magnet (2000) (Blue Room Released) (BR 082 CD) http://www.discogs.com/release/36264 This item is still new and unsealed. I don't have a wantlist, I just look at what people have to offer and see if there is anything I like. The fact you contact me first does not necessarily mean you get the CD, unless of course, you make me a nice money offer...

This is a very, very good, original and underrated release. Worth having, IMHO. But I am not really fond of their other albums, but they really shined on this debut! P.S.: antic, I am quite positive that this polish(???) group is called Tromesa, no?

X Dream- psychomachine Still rules and stands strongs as the ultimate party track. As though nothing's changed sinc 1998... :drama:

I am no DJ, so I cannot speak for the gigs and all, but #2 here is something that freqeuntly happens, and a lot of CDs come with those inside teeth already broken in my mailbox!!! And they're still sealed and new releases... And as for the rain... Fuck!!! Some of those digipacks actually dissolved. Literary. I want/need/demand/prefer jewel cases, any given time of any given god damn day!

I won't even compete, he's all yours, you party freaks!

reger, it is more than obvious you are not informed at all about their production, as on the back of my original vinyl, it clearly says that these two tracks were produced and written by Andrea Rizzo, Max Lanfranconi and Maurizio Begotti. Also, inside the booklet of the 1999 V.A. Irresistible Meltdown, where Mind Altering Drugs can be found as well, and which I happen to own on original CD, it clearly says that the track was written and produced by the three guys whose names are clearly written above. Please inform yourself before going out in public with misinformations. It is an awesome track, with Andrea's full involvement. The track kicks ass, Etnica moving in a new and unexplored direction back then!!!

Buahahahahahah!!!! Oopie, Dimension 5 and Ra... Damn Anoebis, you should have written Filteria instead. Anyways, as for the new wave of melodies, I could give a flying fuck whether they're coming back or not. Music is timeless, and it does not have to be uber melodic to be good. The "melody masters" have all done their share of masterpieces, and they are immortal. At least to me they are. As Jikkenteki pointed out, tastes differ. No shit. If a melody is good, or sounds nicely constructed in my ears, why on earth should I care when it was made? 1996? 1993? 2006? A good melody stays a good melody. For the second time in the same post, believe it or not, music, and consequently its melodies, is timeless. And screw the year of its "birth"- like we're all a bunch of math addicts counting days and months for the fuck of it...

Their recent live act at the Twisted Label party night at the Carling Academy was awesome. Honestly, I was impressed more by those older tracks than the selection of yet to be heard "gems".

Last night we had a little private party over @ my house. As y'all can imagine, if you are to be found in my living room on a saturday night, the italian magicians are going to crawl into the CD player. Sooner or later they will. It was around 03:15 when we were no longer in the mood for the emotional and melodic. And since I've been playing the Pleiadians for the whole afternoon, I wasn't in the mood for that either ! So, what were we left with? Polar EP. I remember not liking it a lot in the past. So the reason why I (we) decided to give it a chance last night remains incognito. The needle dropped. Alter physical reality, the sample went... And we wrecked the living room. Side A, or if you prefer, Mind Altering Drugs, is a hypnotic, banging, bouncy, pounding tune, with truly sharp and wicked effects kicking the shit out of your brain cells!!! It's light years away from the melodic, the subtle, the layers of the past, but it manages to stay on the interesting and psychedelic note just enough to prove that Etnica could actually successfully flirt with the new minimal and techno-ish trend, and blend it all into a crazy party stomper! Think of the monster Resistance from "Equator"- and how banging, uptempo and furious it was- and this is somehow the same. Mind Altering Drugs still has the potential to turn a lazy party into a battlefield!!! This is so fucking intense, and I apologize for the superflous profanity, that my jaw cannot stay put while this is on... THIS is the post "Equator" sound I wanted to hear. Compare this one to Vicky's Dream, and you'll have a hard time guessing the same guys made those tracks, but the evolution is incontestable!!! Mind Altering Drugs is an immediate 9/10! And that is to begin with. As for the side B, The Dominator, all I can say is that after one listen, we were back on Mind Altering Drugs, as unfortunately this flip side tends to follow the monotonous, minimal and uninspiring Etnica we know today... Nothing special, but for those who are into this type of music, I'd say this is indispensable. I give it a 5/10. Do not get discouraged! This is well worth your money and time just for the Mind Altering Drugs track- just play it loud as f**k, and imagine yourself in any dark forest, your eyes closed, and your physical reality altered... It was made back when Andrea Rizzo was still part of the group (Carlo already left though) and it remains a great testament to the new Etnica sound.

Hello! You wrote you made this when you were like 10, no? Hell, if that is to be true, and I don't see any reasons to believe otherwise, then this is one hell of a job for a ten year old... But what I was wondering, didn't it say in your personal info under your avatar that you were croatian, before you decided to hide your geographical origin for unknown reasons? The reason I'm asking is because if you made this track when you were 10, your modern production must sound at least 6-7 times better, and well, how crappy can it be if you made something like that 8 years ago? Get my point? You should upload more, man! As for the mastering, aren't there enough people who are well versed in it (at least they say they are)? At least in Zagreb... That is, if you are from Zagreb...

Yeah, but he's a skillful sythesizzler player, plus he munches on space pussy. :drama:

Are you sure you didn't overdo it with the "0"s?
-
I heard he played Boney M's records backwards at "negative" 33RPM and came up with the melody in Shamanix.

My sophisticated linguistical capabilities regularly surpass and becloud anyone's judgment and/or perception of physical reality. Just like Simon Posford's music. My vocabulary stings in the steepest parts of the human cerebrum, eclipsing the chasms of the fourth dimension, where crooked shadows eternally rest in an altered frame of mind. :drama: I did not agree or disagree with you or anybody else. I just wrote a post. But hey- you should nevargh take me seriously, it's not worth your time!

The cover is nothing short of amazing, yes, and I hope that the music is as nearly as good as the front cover considering that this V.A. is on its way to my mailbox!!! :clapping:

I ordered it as well! I really hope to get it as soon as possible, but usually it takes quite some time to deliver a CD to Croatia. One other thing is that, as far as June goes, I reckon I really exaggerated... God, the money I spent on music during the past two weeks... Thank you Suntrip Records, now I can finally break my piggy bank, and "set loose" all those coins which were stacking up for the original one day! I'm gonna go order pizza now. Make that two.

This is it. THE post. I was actually studying morphology and its application to modern linguistics, for my exam tomorrow, and then I decided to make coffe and see what's up here. And what do I see? The official "fuck tha fuck off mr. Posford" reply! If I was one of those dudes who have other people's quotes as sigs, this would be mine. Not because I hate Simon's music, quite on the contrary, I'm madly in love with it. Moreso, because of this reply I am most likely to flunk my exam tomorrow... Why? I just gotta put on "Twisted" and "The lone deranger" and search for all that lack of powerful energy and boring melodies! Anyways Simon, we made your face cave in with a sledgehammer!

Greetings Somseensee! I am well aware of the track list mistake on the CD version, but I was refering to the 2xLP version, where in fact it is Vicky's Dream that appears on the second vinyl, as track C1 I think, on the "totem" side, as the first track of that vinyl... So I think it was I made all the confusion here, no? Or didn't I? Well...

Wiat! Wasn't this a thread about draeke's DJ mix, and not dissing women? Girls rule- the entire human race is made up of random pieces of shit, be they male or female! No purpose in making stereotypes. Where the fuck would we all be if it wasn't for chicks? Life does indeed suck, nothing new here, but the music is great! As for the mix, draeke, you just have to tell me what is that outburst of energy starting at 53:30 called!
