  1. What a nice gesture from the man himslef to send you a copy! And as for the album: I didn't expect another "Synergy"! Who did? But still, too bad... Nicey nice
  2. I demand a well constructed, long and thoughtful review, mister antic. Try to make it objective too, if possible for a Bilbo freak like yourself
  3. Oh come on now you guys- this is a timeless release... Don't be so picky (or angry for what it matters )! Grab yourselves a copy while you still can! Hell, I'll get me a second copy as on my vinyl the side which contains Gili's Voyage (Ketu Remix) is... er, played to death? :posford: And plus you get that great cover art over a nice, large, piece of cardboard(?) paper!
  4. Yes sir, as soon as he gets in contact again. I reckon the CD list is the same as before, but some more 12" should resurface again. Anyways, expect to hear from me soon now! On topic: now playing my all time favorite Cosmosis track, Gift Of The Gods, which is just that, in true sense of those words! It jogs along closely to Dawn Of An Era... :clapping:
  5. Etnica, Koxbox, Etnica, Etnica, Koxbox, Etnica! In that order... Plus Robert told me he actually has quite a few vinyls in stock too, but he's been very busy lately so he doesn't know when is he going to post them, announce their availability... I can't wait!
  6. You get smacked with a pagan guitar across tha grill, girl!
  7. It was me 100% sure- I remember 'cause I had a tough time writting anything even close to being negative about the man himslef, and I was just waiting until somebody really gets at me! And those bank employees... Damn they're slow in Croatia... And from what I've heard, Croatia and Poland are not that different, so you go and set an example! While we're on the bank discussion, thanx a kazillion for the help with those account digits- you saved me, and everything went fine! Thank you, sir!!!
  8. I'll give it a try if the ultimate Cosmosis freak says it's worth it! I've listened to it quite a few times, even heard the live act last summer (which was twice as good as the album), but it just didn't work for me. I don't even mind its full-onish influences, because as you so nicely pointed out, it really can work. And I did not say it doesn't work here, it's something else. The album lacks that something to make it as good as his previous releases. Maybe in a few months or years I will be able to tell you what it is. Maybe I won't. But I just remembered, and I think we had a similar discussion, you and I, a few months back about what I disliked about "Trancedance"- it was the samples, and you were trying to prove me wrong. I still stand by what I said. Enough of the negativity! Hurry up you lazy bank employees- give me my monthly paycheck so I can snatch Cosmosis' new album. Tension is hiiiiiiiiigh up in the air!!!!!!! I cannot wait!
  9. Cosmosis- Psychedelica melodica (2007) (Phantasm Records) Dimension 5- Transdimensional (2007) (Suntrip Records) Tea Chairs- Tea chairs (3xCD) (2007) (Demon Tea Recordings) + yet another shipment of some ol' vinyl goodies, via exchange! YAY! :clapping:
  10. Whoa, I am just listening his 2002 album "Contact", which up to now I considered to be a weak release. What the flying fuck were you thinking rino? The album kicks major ass, which means Cosmosis released four straight killer albums, with each one sounding completely different, while still keeping some twisted and wicked Cosmosis signature and all! The only other act who pulled off something similar is Koxbox! Let's see if mr. Bagginz still has the gravy, as his last album was instantly forgettable IMHO. Now I am even more impatient when I realized how good his penultimate release is!!! Keep it up Bilbo. :posford:
  11. Simon Posford has coodies. Plus he has a wooden leg with an LSD treasure island map in it, and he has a glass eye with a fish in it. Plus I heard that his "Twisted" and "The lone deranger" albums were written by undiscovered musically talented youth from Cambodia, who were payed them 5 cents an hour to randomly run around video clubs and search for cool samples they would later incorporate into tracks, while Simon would undeservedly collect the credit!

    kali to mars

Great mix draeke! And it starts with the immortal Kali, so it's only naturally I got totally dragged into it before the sixth minute was up. But it's actually the heavier, less melodic part I liked the most- those darker, meaner, twisted tracks from the 30th minute or so are sooooooo wicked! And need I find something a mistake, I'd say the passage @ 47:12 is a bit too "forced". That enormous pumping drum kick just comes in all of a sudden, and the mood set by the previous tracks is somewhat quickly lost. I'd say the transition from the more psychedelic sound to the epic and melodic was made too hastily. No big deal though! The last three tracks are great, and the one (sounds familiar, cannot I.D. though ) taking off from 53:30 is just insanely driving, acidic and energetic. I actually played the set from the point where it starts just to hear it again! As for the track list, I won't even bother (too much that is)... Why? Because some tunes here are damn fine, and I'd empty out my bank account to get hold of 'em!
  13. Neglecting all the sell out theries, the contribution to the massive motoring industry, and his potential involvement in the global distribution of LSD, I actually admire Simon Posford for his great contribution to the hair dressing industry When Michael Jackson sported his immortal jheri curl for the first time back in the '80s, he could have never hoped that his legacy would eventually influence a great psy trance producer from England... Soon enough though, M.J.'s highly original hairdo was not fashionable anymore, and it was replaced by the annoying high top fade haircut, mainly flashed by hip hop youngztaz such as Kid 'n' Play and Big Daddy Kane: And then the '90s came. And we were back on track. Simon Posford came and amazed. Music wise and style wise, as he had his own take on the once internationally popular hairdo! The rearranging cream with pungent chemicals was probably still applied, and it might seem that his hair was also put on them perm rods to remain permanently curled in. He even gave it his personal touch, by easing up on the chemical solutions and thus enabling his hair to keep that looser and "wilder", dare I say afroish look, laying the corner stone for hairdos of many future producers. Whether or not he applied activator and heavy moisturizers on a daily basis and slept with a plastic cap on his head to keep the hairstyle from drying out is questionable, as when recently seen on the Twisted Records label party, his hair seemed rather short. The legend however lives on...
  14. Y'all suck... Just namin' the same old same old, and nobody remembered the living legend- veteran, known to set trend known as -rino-, hailing from the almighty city of Zagreb. A true pioneer in a genre as explosive as DMX's corrosive dog bark! ...and so the croatian court jester strikes yet with another meaningless post... To be continued! :wank:
  15. Jesus Chrsit. Nothing more to add. Not even Godford. Just Jesus Chrsit. Repeat y'all: Jesus Christ...

    Ra - To Sirius

You can't be too serious about "To Series" with your misconception of "To Sirius"?
  17. I second Pavel here. Cosmosis is the man. Interesting thing is, his music still succeeds to grab my attention, which is a rarity amongst old school producers who made it through the painful transition period. Naturally, nothing he's produced since "Synergy" blew me away as that masterful album did, but mr. Bagginz still has some tricks up the sleeve! Respect!
  18. Spot on Nemo! I can't believe I actually forgot it... Oh well, I won't complain, I must have put it in at least thirteen other threads. Who knows what this man is up to now?
  19. I didn't give a shit about music before... I spent my entire afternoons playing soccer. Oh wait, I had a copy of "Music For The Jilted Generation", my first CD ever. If you didn't have a copy back then, and you lived in my neighborhood, you were a pussy. You just were. :wank:
  20. Richie Hawtin- minus orange the ultimate techno track, none of that minimal, acid house sound the dude is known for... Just pure, pumping, bass driven techno madness!!! My all time fave techno tune Shakta- spiritual beings in human bodies pretty self explanatory, ain't it? If this one doesn't get the party started, it's pretty obvious you're hanging out with rotten corpses. Ypsilon 5- ground zero Kind of hard to neglect this one, as it is the stand out track on "Binary sky" and it's a maaaaaad tune fo sho! Umek- gatex This undeniable techno classic has no kick(!!!) at all, but it has got to be one of the most intense, driving and uplifting pieces of electronic music my ears have ever come across. And the melody he rips is just stone cold awesome. E Dancer- velocity funk Well, if you ever heard it on a party, you'd know why I put it here... Its place might not be justified if you only heard on headphones, but it turns every party in a nuthouse!!!
  21. Since it is, after all, a free release, I won't complain too much, but I still gotta say I didn't quite like this one. No bad stuff floating around, but nothing mind blowing either. Afgin's opener is awesome (and I'm starting to expect nothing less from this guy), and Lost Buddha's Southern Oracle is one of the best tracks he's ever done IMO. And these are my two stand outs. That is fine, but I already had these tracks so... However, no matter how bright the first track shines, the last one brings first traces of what I may call (if I dare ) an average Afgin track. Yeah, seems impossible, but I didn't dig it. After around 15 truly amazing tracks that came into my possession, it is only natural I set my standards high for this guy. Maybe a step too high up the ladder. Anyways, to keep thing on a good note, Afgin's good work thus far outshines the not-so-great production big time. Once again, I cannot wait for his debut to drop on Kagdila Records!!! Those three tracks from the V.A. Pure Planet are good enough to stand on its own against any established heavy weight. No joke. The other artists deliver interesting, if incomplete tunes. Potential is obvious, they just need more work/practice. Solid release. Not quite comparable with Metapsychic's free various artist compilations, but who knows what it'll be one day...
  22. Some nice items, yeah, but isn't the guy selling them all together? But most of, if not all of these albums/compilations are available new and unsealed all over the place. Don't cost much either... Which still doesn't mean I wouldn't like a copy of TWSCD03 Various Eclipse - A Journey Of Permanence & Impermanence, which in my ears still sounds super fresh, almost 10 years after its release. That Doof track is just
