  1. NOISE UNIT - DECODER 1996 COM FOUR 1. BAHNHOF 2. INNERCHAOS 3. PROTECTOR 4. PARADISE ( DIS ) 5. FIRING LINE 6. ESCAPE 7. ELIXURE 8. BIOSPHERE 9. ASCENT 10.FALLING Amazing duo Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber have MANY projects, beside Front Line Assembly, Delerium, Synaesthesia, Intermix, Equinox and many more, their third biggest project was NOISE UNIT. With this project they decided to explore other realms than with gothic, dark Front Line Assembly...With their first album GRINDING INTO EMPTINESS they were exploring electro, new wave and early industrial realms, with their second one STRATEGY OF VIOLENCE they went entirely industrial with some metal influences, that album is GREAT, and then comes this, much more chilled and for US, trancers album, full of hypnotic melodies, great atmosphere and many influences throught the tracks. Here you can hear fantastic mixture of amazing melodic worx on 303, breakbeat rhythm almost everywhere, industrial noises and trancey/electro melodies and harmonies. FANTASTIC ALBUM ! A must for all explorers of freestyle electronica genres with pinches of almost every alternative genre. BAHNHOF opens the album and it is mellow industrial electro style with lots of psychedelic melodies thrown all around. It is very positive song with lots of optimism inside. INNERCHAOS is the most melodic work here. It even sounds joyful and full of life and joy is very rare mood you can hear with these guys. With all those melodies you can really feel cheer and happy, very good song. And it is completely done as trance song with 4/4 beat and psychedelic sounds everywhere. PROTECTOR is as the name suggest pretty tame and peaceful but still with regular electro kick and lots of melodies. Also very good song, for the morning, very positive. PARADISE ( DIS ) is another happy song but surely not fluffy cause these guys cannot make fluffy music, but entirely spiritual. It also has standard Leeb/Fulber harmonies that they are so popular under. FIRING LINE goes more back to their industrial realms but it still remains very positive and concrete. It has lots of industrial sounds and noises but has very cute melody through it spicing it up. ESCAPE is more slower and a bit less good cause of lack of sounds and some melodies but it is still very nice. ELIXURE sounds strange a bit cause it can sound to someone like early 80's electro pop tune but it is fixed with nice choir sounds and delicate melodies. BIOSPHERE is great song ! Being the longest one on the album, it has story line behind it and it is greatly done and said. ASCENT is very good electro melodic piece and it just slides hypnotically with lots of great melodies, it sounds even almost as neo classical. Stunning song ! FALLING instead to be nice closer of the album by being gentle and chilly is done in the hardest manner, like harsh industrial style but also combined with nice harmonies in the background, making it more tame. All in all, VERY GOOD album, if you were before into industrial or electro style, you will for sure like this release...even though if you are just trancer that likes generic melodies you would appreciate this album...9/10
  2. I think that Bill Leeb & Rhys Fulber or Chris Peterson are all very psychedelic artists no matter cause they are not making definied psychedelia, and even if they use guitars their music is almost always electronic, so maybe he meant anything BUT psychedelic... Plus, their song Equilibrium IS psychedelic piece...
  3. You haven't heard Bolero and for Maurice Ravel ? Sorry for being confused but it almost sounded impossible to me but nevermind, it is modern classical piece written in 1928 with very hypnotic and long driving melody through 20 minutes long piece, pure artistry and VERY psychedelic for its time...If you like by any means anything classical, listen to this, trashed, you will be transported somewhere else...
  4. Pete Namlook - New Organic Life Amazing ! For all organic trippy ambience lovers ! Pure art of noise ! Pete Namlook & Higher Intelligence Agency - S.H.A.D.O. Stunning ! It sounds like where FSOL stopped after Dead Cities ( only song Maintaining Scan For UFO's by itself define this album in such way )
  5. VERY HARD ALL AND NONE. But if I ever had to be MODEST I would pick : PSY : PLEIADIANS - MAIA NON PSY : RAVEL - BOLERO I actually did it but I still feel bad for choosing only one of each, there is so much of great music.
