What music are you listening to right now?
seraph replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
The Manipulators - Biological Manipulation Blue Planet Corporation - Cyclothymic -
For smooth states of trance I prefer slower rhythms ( 120 - 125 ). The best trance rhythm for hypnotic states of mind. For real, energetic states I also prefer slower faster rhythms ( 130 - 135 ) The only time I do like very fast one is when I am in the club, dancing like a madman ( 140 - 145 )

Nice comparassements ritual om... Song Vitan is really remarcable piece of eastern mysticism through gothic german perspective. Still my favourite goa track. I think it is crazy not to make full album when they made this, in this style, it could have been easily one of the best goa trance albums ever made.

Huh, another scizzo around here... No, seriously, have you been on something strong when you wrote that ? It completely doesn't make any sense...

Well, basically, when Juno Reactor's first album appeared, the genre formely known as trance moved onto higher level and for the first time you could actually hear first deep psychedelic sounds and from that moment it started as psychedelic trance. Psychedelic Trance was very fresh genre that year and beside few singles by Blue Planet Corporation and Eat Static album, that year was just the birth of it. In 1994 psychedelic trance progressed and epic structured melodies were put having strong oriental feel so new genre was called Goa Trance. So, if you look it from that perspective, Psy was before Goa cause general term psychedelic trance was its original name. After Goa became popular and ultimately progressed during its finest years ( 94-97 ), somewhere at beginning of 1997 new forms of progressed psychedelic sound were heard. Fat, juicy sounds splashed all around with twirling, wacked noises tangling your brain. It could be that Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger was turning point from known highly melodic Goa genre onto more deviant, twisted progressed psy sound. After that we got highly produced twisted noises and sounds everywhere truly dominating in 97,98 and 99 until the early progression of minimal and progressive trance genres.

Hey Nightmare Trancer, I got Ka Sol - Easy As A Fact which you recommended me saying that it is better than Scraqp...huh, hell is not....at all. I mean, that is stunning track, but Scraqp is just plain demented and psycizophreniKKK. Easy As A Fact has solid rhythm and structure, and has great flow but Scraqp is so wild, just they way I like it...Thanks for recommendation nevertheless...

He wouldn't be romantic about it...

Yeah, Noma - Another Time, perfect melancholic track... My pick would be : Illuminatus - Hope ( Oliver Lieb Rmx )

Check out so many releases 95-00...a lot of them WERE PERFECT, simple as that. And I find your answer on EP's constructive criticism as infantile in saying that if it was perfect you should might as well stop producing music completely... You ARE going to MAKE the perfect track when you put your ego down...trust me...

Agreed.... But I also like dancefloor killers when people get berserk and screams in excitement...

Astral projection SAMPLE fron upcoming album
seraph replied to Shpångul's topic in General Psytrance
According to your perceiving of psychedelic Astral Projection does get under that categorisation. Their first album WAS deep and trippy...COMPLETELY...Their other albums ( Astral Files and Dancing Galaxy ) are more dreamy and melodic, you are right about that. I also think that Another World was also psychedelic and at some stages pretty hard - Visions Of Nasca for example... -

I wasn't reffering to 'hard and psychedelic' but psychedelic which they HAD on all albums until AMEN. They were psychedelic group at first, remember ? Oh, no, you don't, you were 9 years old when they released Trust In Trance...That was evolution of psychedelic music kiddo, that was psychedelic I was reffering to... -
Astral projection SAMPLE fron upcoming album
seraph replied to Shpångul's topic in General Psytrance
It's nice but it lacks psychedelic edge ! What ever happend to Astral ? EP mentioned that they want to change...Why that change doesn't mean becoming more hard and psychedelic and not softer and fluffier ? I don't mind soft and fluffy but they expressed that with Amen... -
