After their great album DRIVE, they haven't released anything. I am amazed to see how many artist simply dissapeared and you can't hear anything about them. I find DRIVE to be one of the best minimal albums and even though it is pretty changed style, the change was great and it made sense. Album had a concept and it was pretty trippy as well. I didn't like so much METER album cause it was way too minimal and repetitive but this album is pure artistic bliss...If anyone of you know what happend to them, please inform me about them...

Hey Jannis, it just crossed my mind seeing you talking about remixing your songs, why not to remix some Pleiadians song, from IFO, like to do the proper remix of ALCYONE for example and not that lame remix by Species that exist ? I know that is silly remixing such AMAZING psychedelic piece of artistry but I think that it would be good the update of old sound thru new psy aura that is presented these days...Or ASTEROPE cause it has such epic melody that fits your musical skills too... It is just the suggestion...

How could I forget Fractal Glider ? It is the perfect name for trance artist... Bumbling Loons is great as well...

What about presenting that album in Europe ? I don 't think that front cover is cheesy, tdr_shpongled is right, it looks trippy and psychedelic as releases back in the days...And those eyes inside the mask are great ! Hehe

And APSARA looks great ! FILTERIA, KA SOL, AES DANA making trance would be interesting too...LOST BUDDHA, YPSILON 5 and GOASIA...Dream Team for these days...

Hey Filtered Boy ! This are great news ! I would like to see double album of course ! I don't mind remixes, I would like to see remixes of THE SNUGGLING SNAIL ( without voice sample ) and GALACTIC RAYS but SKY INPUT wouldn't be bad at all in remix...Keep up the good work man !

Hehe, it exactly sounds like TIP promo for compilation...I can really see how you were influenced by Raja Ram...

Transparent Mind - Among the best Goa Trance songs ever ! Simple perfection ! Surely best Total Eclipse song ! NP : Speedy J - Drill Amazing industrial influenced IDM piece ! -
It is really hard to actually decide the very best but my vote definately goes to FILTERIA- SKY INPUT. My second pick would be JUNO REACTOR - LABYRINTH after which I likede TALPA - THE ART OF BEING NONE most. Wasn't SHULMAN released in 2003 ? Well, in the end of it, so maybe it counts as 2004, but anyway, that would be my fourth favourite album from last year. Last year was pretty good year...

I really love this guy ! He is true ressurector of old school psychedelic trance and his psychedelic structures are great, well, on first album completely. I find PARASITE as one of the better psychedelic albums in any case...DIGITAL MANDALA had few great songs but it also had 3 average ones which first album didn't have. I liked his singles DETONATOR and CHASING GANESH and I truly hope his next one will be better than previous one...I say that Parasite deserves 9/10 and Digital Mandala 7/10...

I didn't expect much but in fact this is very cute, fresh, light album. I find it poetic and rather pictoresque. I don't find it average but above average but still not great. I like DUCK AND COVER, ESCALATION OF TENSION, LAST OF THE V8 INTERCEPTORS, DEPTH PERCEPTION. All in all pretty good, refreshing and tame album, I can't see any connection with goa trance though, not even with old school, just because it has some gentle melodies and fine structures doesn't make it goa trance...7/10

Benza - The Wolf ( Live Mix ) Bouncey, funky psychedelia...pretty good... -
Hehe, psyboy, I though that is the point of all of us, psychedelicatessen consumers. I have many friends that listen to this music and experience it completely str8 and I can see their perception of it. They are mostly strictly attached to specific genre that they like their straight head to be most at and don't dare to experience other genres that may have put them in altered states of mind. Let's say, progressive. I like this genre very much and I quite got into it since last year when all the greatest progressive releases were released. I still CAN'T listen to progressive on acid...maybe in the late morning when acid completely wear off. Minimal is almost unbearable on acid. Psychedelic and Goa Trance with some very old school trance or generic ambient/ downtempo or let's say, any trippy music is possible on acid. I even listened few times some demented classical music but not on peak, later on. It was so diabolic and crazy, those people from that period were seriously psychedelic. I have str8 friend that makes ambient music and even though he makes pretty good music, it has no psychedelic effect whatsoever... So, my point is not : HEY GUYS, TAKE SOME ACID AND EXPERIENCE THIS MUSIC TRULY....( EP, don't flame me ) even though I would recommend it to everyone with intelligent head and no mental inhibitions...

They suck live now...Their latest installement IM THE SUPERVISOR is dreadful live...They played only 3 tracks total from first 3 albums and the rest was actually pop influenced live act and I suggest you not even to bother no matter cause there is no trance in the states...sorry...10 hours drive for 2 boring hours is not enough...sorry for no good words, I am just realistic...

It was already argumented once that usage of psychedelics actually show you the point of psychedelic music so I have to ressurect that issue again. I completely believe that until you experience psychedelic drug, you haven't heard psychedelic music in the real sense. I was listening to trance music 2 years before I took my first acid in 1997. I thought until that stage I enjoyed and liked this music in the right way. As soon as first smash hit, I was clearly rinsed through the sensory filter and all the sounds and effects I elaborately heard until that moment became more clear, pure and loud. I could hear this music breathe, like the artist themselves made it on psychedelic substances and presented it freely. I felt that this music finally took its true form and was presented in a real, uncovered way. I realised that psychedelic effect START when you actually take psychedelic and that until that second you can normally hear and like music but then, you start to FEEL it, for the first time actually. I know that there are many people that listens to this music without any drugs and I am not saying they can't hear it, but until you actually experience it psychedelically, you only hear the traces of the original message. Original message is hidden inside psychedelic and that is why this music is so magical. Its psychedelic effect takes you directly to other dimension and you are left alone on the field of sounds and colorful landscapes. This music GIVES definition of SYNAESTHESIA and only with psychedelic substances you can actually experience it. Is there anything as good as that ? Not for me...

HUX FLUX - DIVISION BY ZERO 2003 SPIRAL TRAX RECORDS 1. NUMBERS 2. ULTRASTRUCTURE 3. BITSHIFTER 4. SKURK 5. ARTIFAKTS 6. TABULATOR 7. TELEX 44/ NULL 8. NUMEROUS NUMERICS 9. POSTPONE THE PHONE I've just saw there is no review for this album so I'll give a short one now. This is completely different turn for Dennis Tapper. After intelligent psychedelia with slices of minimalistic maximalism he moved onto more funky, driving, clubby rhythms but it can be dissapointing for someone but for others could be pretty refreshing. I think that considering the worst year for psy world, this album is one of the better ones that year. He made different styles on it now, ranging from liquid progressive through intelligent psychedelia over funky full on but whole thing makes sense as a whole. NUMBERS is typical Hux Flux, precise and psychedelic and very driving. ULTRASTRUCTURE is more minimalistic and nothing that special but then comes BITSHIFTER, pretty elaborate song with good dancey rhythm and nice effects. SKURK is progressive song, very good and driving as well. ARTIFAKTS is my favourite on album, psychedelic and juicy, I like it very much. TABULATOR is also psychedelic song with lots of twists. TELEX 44/ NULL is another Hux Flux alike minimalistic piece, noth that inspiring though. NUMEROUS NUMERICS is pretty experimental mixture of progressive and psychedelic, pretty interesting and yet minimal also. POSTPONE THE PHONE is nice closing ambient song, drifty and effective...All in all, pretty good album, not at all as Cryptic Crunch but pretty refreshing 2003 album...7/10 ( but it could have been easily 8 too but some ideas seem too obvious for that )
