Teleport simple ? ? I think that this guy is pulling our noses with all these negative comments about almost everything he mentions...I think he is provocateur on this site...and he is not even clever provocateur like EP... Blah, Cinos, get your ears cleaned...no smiley

I already put my little review in one of the threads. All I can add is that this is different Joti. I mean, you can still hear his sounds and effects but he went to full on realm and I don't know what to say. I expected his second album for ages and it delievered one average album at its best. Shame, cause I always respected his work, especially his early goa worx. This album is nice and it has good songs. My least favourite is Long Long Arms actually...because of considering two masters did it, this track is even less than average...I could only hear Simon effects, one melody and voice sound but beside that I couldn't define you this track as their collaboration cause it just sounds too poor. All in all, this is nice album, but for real Joti fans pretty dissapointing...Best on album : PUNKTUATOR, TWINIGHT, LIVE FAST DIE YOUNG, SITUATION...6/10 or 7/10 not sure anymore...

Favourite track by Battle of the future Buddhas?
seraph replied to Manuser's topic in General Psytrance
I picked MR.FANTASTIC as my pool vote, but it cannot be seperated with LORD OF THE DANCE...Those two are the best tracks they made after which follows LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND which I am surprised that isn't put in the list and OREBRO FREAK FACTORY and DOMESTIC BLISS...Actually, MARSMELLOW is on that list as well, one of the best ambient songs I've ever heard... -
Hey guys, I've heard Talpa live this weekend....whoaaa ! He progressed his previous style which awfully reminded on Infected Mushroom and developed his own in some ways...His music is much more innovative and wizardy. I've heard some crazy melodic structures and his sound design is much better than on album. If you liked the album, you will certainly like next one better. He is more psychedelic and his melodies are much more mature...pretty impressive live act, don't miss him next time he is in your city...

Yeah, I aksed myself back then, when I heard it, but in the mean time you realise that HE HAS HIS OWN UNIQUE STYLE...and nothing sounds like that...

To me, as soon as I even heard about name SKAZI I got creeps, what a bozzo...I still haven't heard any of his album, I tried to hear Animal, and my trying ended on second track...Loads of BS....and XTC, very boring track actually with that HIDEOUS video clip...What is that creep thinking ? BLAAAAAAAH

Amithaba, man...... Why do you have Buddha in your name and avatar ? You do know that Buddha's path is peace, non agression and patience...everything you seem to lack for this music ( except for goa )... Don't be like this so we can take you seriously... Peace

I understand that neo full on is this new, formulaic full on with bouncing bass lines and nominal melodies that tends to be full where in fact has not so much of the depth. To me, original full on was invented by Israelis in 1998 and was full power blasting music like Xerox & Freeman, Passenger, Children Of Doc, Cosmic Navigators, Pigs In Space ( psychedelic trance with massive elements ) and it turned less massive and more cheesy from 2001. I think that 'founder' of neo full on must be Astrix with his melodic style, but to me he is the only neo full on artist that had something to say with such genre, rest are very boring unless they are signed for 3D Vision label, the only label that produces quality pumping, intelligent full on these days...

Umm, yes, you are right...it did reach very commerical state but look at it from this perspective. It is year 2005, 11 years after Goa Trance developed into style we know and adore. At that stage, all these artists were your age or older and they were producing something that was enitrely NEW and FRESH for that time. In the era of folded and arranged samples ( 89-93 ) this specific, artistic genre of making trance state appeared and everyone were gobsmacked, amazed. They heard new stuff that sounded.....PSYCHEDELIC, therefore psychedelic trance music entered electronic culture and in no time started to dominate just because of its beauty and elegance... 11 years after, those same producers aren't even producing that music or moved onto something else, and you can't blame them Buddha, they are here for ages and their progression seems logical to them, but not to you, cause you are still young and started doing this recently so, to you, no matter how you respect and vorship this genre you are still stuck in that time, which I was until 2 years ago...Then I realised that everything is moving very fast, and that global progressive regression happend. And that is to develop sounds and effects to the highest levels where the content was secondary. Now, that is horrible thing our dear artists did to us, but we cannot suffer from it and not enjoy in new, cute stuff that has been released, not that they aren't there...And you just have to dig and find something that can suit you...That is what I am doing these days, I was also furious of goa dying but what a heck, there is so many old releases that are still worth digging and I am fdoing my best in collecting as much oldies as possible. All I am saying, get over it , try to tune your brain on some juicy psychedelia, there is heaps of quality, melodic psychedelia, trust me, just get over that little prejudice and enjoy more in music...That is all... Peace Fillipe...

Ah, yeah, I forgot, have you heard recent Laughing Buddha stuff ? It is also pretty dry and without 303 too, so I think they both went their own directions and were functioning the best when they were together...

It may have some full on elements but I don't think he'd sell so much cause he still has HIS name. I know that means nothing nowadays, but from track Dead or Alive? I can tell you, it has nothing to do with CONTACT. It was very fast, uplifting, a bit old style, and from that track I can predict that whole album may will have some full on elements, but it surely won't be bouncing full on bass line which I am sick of. But, let's not speculate about it and wait for it to come out...Okay ?

What did you wanted to say Amithaba ?
-
How could I forget about those 2 Gargouille ? I can add : Quirk - Dark Matter ( climax ) Dodgy Connection - Off Limits ( both climaxes ) FLA - Evil Playground ( Tim Schuldt Rmx )
-
Moosnhine is from Synergy, their second album, ummm, his second album cause they split before that one...And Amithaba, Synergy is not goa trance but it is surely perfect psy...maybe that is why u don't like it....It seems you are exclusively goa freak and nothing else...but that surprise me cause first time I hear about person that is into this music and making this music but listens to only one genre of it...Strange...;

There will be no electronic music at all ? I cannot predict but I can say what I long for..... Maximal, fresh, cyberdelic, supersonic psychedelic goa trance come back.... What an idealisation, but what a heck, there are another thousands of people longing for the same thing...I truly hope someone will hear our silent scream....
-
Did you get all what I suggested ? Cause you should, especially Downhill album, wicked, transforming dark ambience...shivvvverrsssssss...
-
Yeah, that modulated break in On Air is just plain perfect. It's like two very mature kids were playing with their emotions. And that melody by the end is just amazing. Whole album is so warm, it is the best prog album last year....

Watch your mouth little boy...

I find that track pretty promising, you can't even guess what is in the song from 45 seconds. To me it sounded a lot like his old style, just slightly slower.

Yeah, very good goa trance really...At least whole that rejection towards new music is chanelled through something, like making these fine trax...Keep up with good work Filipe...
