Oh yeah, I wouldn't mind hearing The Prodigy - Claustrophobic Sting in the remix myself since it is my favourite Prodigy song. I would like Simon or old Koxbox to remix it... Faithless - Salva Mea ( Pleiadians Rmx ) Imagine that ! Fluke - Atom Bomb ( Cosmosis Rmx ) Underworld - Born Slippy ( The Antidote Rmx )

Before I got an album, I was expecting one of the best hard trance albums after I heard his singles on 3D Vision compilations before 2001, from Psychedelic comp especially. I was also hoping for Elixir album since their 3-4 singles are one of the most psychedelic insane pieces of great music. So, I put the disc in the player and then..... Tsch Tsch Tsch Tsch Boom Tsch Tsch Tsch Tsch Boom Repetitive sounds all around, strange structure and almost no MELODIES ! WTF ? I was really gobsmacked by it. I only liked three tracks : DRUMATRIX, ORANGE AND ULTIMATUM 138. Rest is nice, not bad, but I was expecting a blast from Christophe and actually got pretty pretentiously wild album with almost no wilderness at all, for me at least. He made much more wild and demented stuff with Dado and later with Lestat and Mael on Elixir...WILD - 7/10 if not even 6/10 but it is him, so it is forbidden...
-
I guess that sums it all then...
-
No one said about not posting anything negative, just your statement sounded hateful and not just negative. Have you actually heard whole album or just samples from Saiko ?
-
Shpongled, you are full of very thoughtful remarks...so mature !
-
I actually didn't like the album so much. I find it a bit repetitive and without some specific meaning. I like few tracks only, can't even remember what they are cause I listened at friends place, but overall, I am not amazed at all by this release...5/10

I don't think it is splinter genre but pure psychedelic goa trance track...
-
Yeah, how could I forget that track ? Maybe because I borrowed my disc almost 2 years ago to friend and still didn't get it back... That track really rocks, but they made something pretty close to that track if not as good - DELIRIUM, stunning !
-
I also love them, and last two albums were good despite the bad critics here. Cybermancy I didn't like at all, Cyclotron might be their best with mixture of minimal and morning trance, how strange but pretty good. Electro Theater and Stereo Electric, even being full on I like thema nd find them as maybe the ebst full on reelases from past few years. I like some of their new singles as well. They did started doing hyper production of their music but they didn't loose the quality yet...

I also love Shakta, but everything until Out Of Sight album. When I heard that album first I thought it wasn't his own, it was so impossible. He made chill album and he could have released it as some other name than Shakta we know. I haven't heard whole of the last album but I didn't like the style. But his previous two albums : SILICON TRIP and ENLIGHTENED APE were great same stands for numerous great singles : FOXGLOVE, AMBER MANTRA, MICRONESIA, COSMIC TRIGGER, INDRA'S NET, etc. His other project DIGITALIS and album THE THIRD STATE was also very good freestyle breakbeat trance but he also released as SOMATON - FUTURE MEMORIES, another perfect psychedelic biological trance album. I actually don't like his other project, ambient one, ANGEL TEAFRS...too mainstream for my taste. So, I am sure he is not going to release more of that perfect melodic stuff, like so many other pioneers that got a little bit fancy with their talent...

You haven't heard of Menog ? I think that he started releasing around 2002 and that first album came in 2003 called Natural Behaviour. I reviewed it in Reviews section...

Yes, I agree with Quark. Even though I despise the guy, I also think that is even more devilish to name the track like that. Hey Quark, I see that your favourite one from Project Genesis is Intelligent Machine. Mine is Why ?, then Intelligent Machine...

Yeah, I like that compilation as well...Abraxis is stunning ! I also like crazy psychedelia by Shamanic Tribes On Acid, simple but very effective and psychedelic. There is also Semsis - Pile, amazing goa piece, Darshan - Warped Dimension...
-
First disc is stunning ! The ending of it is a bit strange. Second disc has good selection of tracks but they don't go one after another at all. Like a mixture of progressive, psychedelic and goa at the end, but Kabalah and Moonraker are the best there...Still, I am glad they are releasing this kind of thing, no matter I have all tracks myself.
-
Yes, it does sound slightly more simple than Earth Crossing, he obviously deliberatly decided to minimise his sound so he can apply it to modern listener but it is still his kick, bass line, melodies and it even reminds me a little bit on Purity, but not in melody but in structure. I have whole song and it is really beautiful...Cheers...
-
No, I didn't mean whole album Earth Crossing that had a bad feedback but he released an EP with Liquid Neon Sky and Book Of Eden which got bad feedback by not being sold at all so poor guy didn't even released it cause of that. This single SS4 Version 1.3 is from Ice-O-Lator, 2003 compilation released on Boom Records. Happy hunting !
-
Have you heard his latest single, released on Boom records called SS4 Version 1.3 ? I think it is amazing piece of music and this guy, no matter the bad feedback for this album ( Earth Crossing ), still makes HIS OWN music not changing the style. I hope he never will and I hope that he'll release some album soon cause I really long for this, he is one of the best artists around...That song I mentioned is completely in his old style, without any full on bassline or pretentious new directions musicwise. Melodic all the way. Find it and enjoy...Dave, come here and read this, to see there are more people that repect your work...

Tandu - Alien Pump (Prio Alea Remix)
seraph replied to Prio Alea's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Hey, it is nice remix but you misses that climax at the end. You made song very long but missed the climax. Still, considering you did it in FL5, without Midi files, this is good...Keep up with good ( original ) work... -
Hey Ukiro, I know you are obsessive Goa Trance collector and am sure you have lot of stuff and probably completed hundreds of discographies but you don't have to be THE MASTER of collecting. I am missing Asian Code but I do have Intense Visitation song. Of course I don't have every single TRACK they released, and maybe missing few tracks here and there but to me completism doesn't mean HAVING ALL but having essential albums and important singles by group. None of us can have practically all stuff, unless you are a dj and knows hundred of people that can connect you and bring you loads of stuff. As I was collecting all by myself with a little help of my friends, I can't say I have complete discographies but rather 80-90 % which I do find almost complete. FSOL I even have all albums, all except one singles on discs, two Amorphous Androgynous albums, okay for example I don't have their very early worx, before Amorphous... and Aphex Twin all of the albums plus loads of singles....Thanks for enlightening me...
-
HUH, How could I forget Chi-A.D.? I have all of him, albums and loads of singles except maybe two singles I am missing. He is one of my favourite artists from the scene...
-
Yeah, I am absolutely obsessed about completing my favourite artists. I have complete discographies of : ASTRAL PROJECTION MESSAGE FROM GOD PLEIADIANS/ETNICA SIMON POSFORD COSMOSIS CALIFORNIA SUNSHINE MAN WITH NO NAME INFECTED MUSHROOM JUNO REACTOR KOX BOX SHPONGLE FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON THE ORB APHEX TWIN DEAD CAN DANCE DELERIUM SYNAESTHESIA and some more...

Green Nuns Of The Revolution are the masters of 303. To me, their every use of 303 was very tweaky, modulated and brilliantly arranged. Their single Optimum Creakage had one of the best 303 worx I've ever heard too. As I mentioned before Fire, Cor !, Ring Of Fire, Megallenic Cloud all had incredible 303. Cosmosis, Doof, Prana also had pretty tweaked 303...303,909 are to me essential trance induced sounds and it is real shame they are rarely used these days and even when they are used they mostly last for 10-20 seconds. Nevermind, the days of 303 were rich and very trippy...

Yeah, this is very good, ambient journey and one of the best ambient releases last year. One guy from Aes Dana and one guy from Solar Fields produced very variable, rhythmic ambient piece and everyone that are seriously into this genre should get this...9/10

Hehe, now you have good point there too...the font is wrong somehow, it would be good if was ancient or old but now, two of us started sounding like some old phillosophers that are sitting on the bench talking about trivias of the life...hehe
