Beside this, imagine Simon Posford collaborating with Bjork for example or Lisa Gerard ( from Dead Can Dance ) with Shpongle. I always imagiend how would sound if best singers were collaborating with trance artists and how enchanting would that sound...

Around 1000, maybe slightly less.

Yeah, I actually liked half of the album, and other half didn't get to me that much, maybe because of excessive usage of guitar in those tracks. Those tracks without guitar or with some really appealed to me but the rest, hmm, I expected slightly more serious stuff from Schuldt considering that this is his first regular album...Favourites : PENDULUM, HEXAGON, VIOLENT RAY...7/10

Yeah, this is pretty nicely put together compilation. It doesn't consist perpetual full on tunes but some rather intelligent psychedelic candies. There is even one GOA track, my favourite from compilation - Steptime - Timecode, polished old school, juicy. I also like Sienis track and Artax too... so, pretty nice collection of funky, groovy psychedelia...8/10

Well, Ormion, I am doing my best in collecting all the quality music I can, considering I am into trance for 9 years. Actually, I got too obsessed with this music and now I can't walk away. Isn't the point of trancing entrancing ? I dug too deep in trance and started considering it too seriously. It's like my second life...Heh

CHI - A.D. - EARTH CROSSING 2002 UNRELEASED 1. BLACK LIGHT 2. BOOK OF EDEN 3. HAMMERHEAD 4. TRANSPARENT SEA 5. ZERO BARRIER 6. BLUE EFFECT 7. LIQUID NEON SKY Maybe it is not right to write this review since the guy decided not to release the album but I had to download it cause I was waiting for this album for ages, ever since I heard single Hammerhead back in 2001. I think that is really shameful for this amazing artist not to release his best album excluding Infintism cause it was more compilation album. His work on layers and composition is by far his bets effort, considering albums. His first album VIRTUAL SPIRIT was pretty nice debut with some very nice songs ( THE OCEAN ALSO DREAMS, ASTRAL WARRIOR, SERPENT'S FIRE, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY ), then comes ANNO DOMINI which was great album, more dark and moody but still great. In the mean time he released numerous singles which were his best work ( EYE AM THE I, EXIT ETERNITY, PURITY, BEYOND THE SINGULARITY ) before he released his best compilation album INFINITISM. After that he decided to quit making music due to embarassingly low number of EP's he sold before releasing this album. I mean, 50 sold EP's aren't enough for releasing whole album cause he didn't want to loose money. Conclusion is that GOA IS DEAD and DJ's don't care about that genre anymore. So, I can say that this could be the last goa trance album NEVER released. Now, about the tracks : BLACK LIGHT is amazing pure psychedelic goa trance piece. It is one of the best songs on this album with endless layers of melody stretching forever, trancing you out completely. It is Chi-A.D. style and in this song he developed melodic construction to the highest levels. BOOK OF EDEN is another great one, for someone might be cheesy, for me it is not cause I love those gentle melodies with strong kicks and bass he is using. I like that blend of hard sounds and gentle melodies. The name of the song says everything, simply amazing. HAMMERHEAD is very known single and it is also extremely good and trippy. TRANSPARENT SEA was also previously released on Goa Head compilation and it is typical Chi-A.D. again with layers and layers of melodies and psychedelic effects. ZERO BARRIER is another goa trance bliss. Concrete and to the point. Then comes BLUE EFFECT, long, driving song, maybe the weakest on album but certainly not bad or average, just not so wide as others. And then comes another released track LIQUID NEON SKY, also from Goa Head series and another one best here. All in all, GREAT ALBUM. perfect for old school lovers. I think that everyone that like old goa trance genre would adore this album. If it wasn't right from me to post review about this album, I don't mind moving it from here. I just had to share this with those old school lovers and they know who they are. If Dave Young has nothing against downloading this brilliant piece cause it is waiting to be heard for almost 3 years, then I suggest you to do it, cause it is really worth it...10/10

Well, of course, Rain, I accept other opinions as long as they are not spitting on some classics for just sake of spitting. I see what you mean about Second Phaze being less in your face as their first one but I quite like that wild in your face melodic lines and Transdimensional has over 100 melodies thru whole album and that makes it a little bit better for my taste...

Even though I am not minimal freak, I find this album with MOS - DRIVE as the best minimal trance album. There is actually some content and even though minimal tends to bore you after few listens, this album has this specific dark feeling that you can't resist.
-
All of the tracks are best Kai-Q...
-
Robert Rich Brian Lustmord They made one album together called Stalker, amazing piece of music. There is also Brain Eno - On Land with similar structure you are looking for or Robert Henke - Floating Point or album by Steve Roach, Reyes and Saiz called Earth, but there are some tribal patterns inside that album...
-
Amithaba Buddha, you should know better than that considering you are Goa Trance freak...He was collaborating on their second album, trust me, 100 % I am sure...
-
Hey Mindtwister, I think you got something wrong about Ormion's post, he was talking about N.D.M.A. german trance group, and I am not sure you are right Ormion, but I hope you are, cause it would be real shame those guys haven't continue witht their talent.
-
No, they haven't...There are heaps of people that even released one or two singles and completely dissapeared like for example Hiscore Xor. They released HIT SINGLE True Freedom which is to me one of the best Goa Trance anthems of all time and Drone VII on the vinyl that I haven't heard and after that one more EP Identify which I also haven't heard and then POOF, vanished. Same stands for N.D.M.A. with their Goa Anthem Vitan which I find in top 10 Goa Trance songs too and another good single The Answer ( Gift ) and again no sign from them after that. I never understood that thing of sudden dissapearing. But there is this album by Hunab-Ku from 2000 that I still miss, Magik Universe...OMG, that is probably great album !

Hey Shaman, you have album cover in Psynews database, albums sections...Check it out...
-
You named them all...
-
I like them but they are nothing spectacular. They made 2 good albums but I miss something from both of them. My favourite trax are : SHADOW OF THE BEAST, NEIGHBOUR OF THE BEAST, THIRD REVELATION, DATALINKS...I heard them live and I wasn't too impressed.

MENOG - NATURAL BEHAVIOUR 2003 STARSOUND 1. SOMEONE ELSE 2. METAMORFOSE 3. THE OTHERS 4. ACID TRIP RMX 5. BRAHMA 6. NATURAL BEHAVIOUR 7. MENOG 8. NAMELESS FEAR Daniel Bernardo from Portugal made this psychedelic album for psycho lovers. And even though songs sound similar between like same bass lines and sounds, he did create specific atmosphere and it is quite enjoyable album despite not so many variations. He has some kind of psychotic but not hysterical structure and his wild energy fills you from beginning to end. He don't let you go and that is one of the reasons I like this album, he doesn't pet you on the head and tells you ' you are comfortable now, my child ' but he rather smashes you with the first notes and don't let you go. Even though he is using samlpes from horror films, you don't have feeling like you've been inside that film but he is more using it in a funny ways like strong, driving kick and some lullaby melodies spread all around to put you in a more diabolic mood. I like all tracks but the best ones are : METAMORFOSE, ACID TRIP, BRAHMA, NATURAL BEHAVIOUR, NAMELESS FEAR...8/10 Only for dark lovers and the ones with sense of humour and fun.

You are right, it was immature, I agree but it was rational response towards your non directness. I like when someone is direct with me and only then I can take something as true criticism...
-
Hey Oopium, you can say directly and not pretend that you are fine person by being critical in agreeing with someone. I am not here to show off, he asked about tunes he want to know cause he didn't like this year. Plus, I like to share something I know. I have no intention of excusing myself in front of anyone, so just keep your mouth shut and everything will be ok.

Stunning ! Thanks for the input Dado, I am really looking forward this release. Will it be finished next year ? Keep up the good work and I am glad you are back together.

Transdimensional is more 100% pure goa trance than Second Phaze cause there are few oriental influenced psychedelic perfections on Transdimensional where Second Phaze has more mellow tracks. But, for me both of those albums are cream crop of Goa trance...

Guy Zukrel last Passenger album was pure perfection ! All songs from there are as good as it gets, typical Zukrel melodies and atmosphere. Even that album was full on but it was at very beginning of full on when it sounded intelligent and emotional. So, I am sure he'd make similar style album and I know that it won't be dissapointing...Heh
