Hah, I can't believe you posed that question ! There is no such thing as goa tutorial. And besides, Infected Mushroom, Astrix and Silicon Sound don't produce goa trance, so maybe you should learn more about music itself before you even start with such serious thing as producing. I once read somewhere Erez Aizen RECIPE for producing trance trax but I forgot where I read it, maybe it was on Isratrance or something but that surely wasn't TUTORIAL but rather help cause you actually can't learn how to make music out of tutorials. You know how to make or don't. It is all about knowing music and structure of music and not only sonic manipulation which is for everyone now dead easy. Hardest part of making is actual music making and not just some random effects and drums sellection. Cheers

ATOM Here is the third album by famous swedish progressive artist Human Blue. He delivered here the best progressive album for me this year. There is still his old style but he made it more psychedelic than before. The sounds are mellow with of course very liquid production. He is still using melodies and they are not so spreaded like on his previous works but all songs are good and he is still not saying any bullshit, except of name of the track - DRAG QUEEN which is in any case the weakest on album. I like all songs but my favourite ones are : SOULSQUEEZER ( slightly psychedelic and very driving ), DEMON DANCE ( even more psychedelic and very uplifting song, don't know what has to do with the name cause it is very positive ), HARMONIX ( progressive, smooth style ), ROLLERCOASTER ( melodic progressive, pretty catchy ), ATOM ( liquid, soothing melodies )....8/10

Huh, Solar Quest - Acid Air Raid is CLASSIC ! Brilliant song, 12 minutes long, psychedelic and acid as hell, amongst my favourite trance songs. I wonder wheter they released an album in such style cause it would be great ! If you now dj nemo, tell me wheter thay have such album...

Its tranquil moods and atmosphere takes you on the journey which by any means is very conceptual and quite engaging. This compilation is perfect mixture of ambient soundscapes, dub moods and clear sounds. It is journey from beginning to end making you float deeply. I like all of the songs but still, my favourites are : THE SIGHT IS WHITE, ALL GREEN SEASONS, SPIRITUAL SPEARMINTS, INCENSE, THE BUSHMAN, SEAWEEDS CORPORATE. Aes Dana and Vibrasphere delivered best tracks, pretty trippy, floaty ambient pieces. Indidginus made some pretty trippy ambience. All in all, you should get it cause it is really quality compilation and one of the best ambient compilations from last year but considering that was released in the mid december, it could be called like from this year...9/10

Yes, this is very good, smooth, sophisticated album. It is one of the best ambient albums this year. I don't need to say anything more than DP...Just enjoy ! 10/10

I heard many live acts that I loved : Astral Projection live acts used to be fenomenal, Shakta had a stunning live act back in 2000, same stands for Chakra. There are more of stunning live acts I've heard : Alien Project, SUN Project, Astrix, Infected Mushroom, X-Dream, Space Cat, Man With No Name, Koxbox, Joti Sidhu, Dino Psaras and many more...

To me, their both albums are masterpieces but also singles they released : TIME DILATION, JUNGLE TRAX, SONIC SYSTEM, PLEIADIANS. There is not going to be third Pleiadians album, and what would be the point without melodies and harmonies ?

THEY CREEP LIKE DOTS COM I stumbled on this weird album the other day after some time and I had to review it, no matter cause there is in reviews section. I suspect that most of you have heard it and even if you haven't this album is surely not for everyone. It is not even trance music, in the real sense, but more mixture of psychedelic rock, weird, spacey stuff. It is pretty experimental and for those that like their brains tested this will do pretty much, like for me. I like lots of different styles and this crazy style suits me. They released psy trance before this one and I can say that I like this style better cause it is not so weird, but rather serious. MICROSCOPIC DETAILS is constructive, some kind of minimalish twisted rock with ambient, alien begining that turns into psychedelic madness. THE BIRTH OF A NEW STAR is among my favourites here and it is pure perfection, sounds retro and completely wacked off but at the same time very serious. BROTHER RAY is the weakest one on album but still pretty good for its style. THE ICONS MADE FLESH is another weird, crazy demented piece of music. Then comes 2 best and most psychedelic songs on album: SUPERMINDWAY and GALACTIC. What a structures ! I am sure that if this music was made back in 60's and 70's people would get crazy and sick on it cause it is in exact similar style psychedelic music was made back then. 10/10 for those 2 songs only. THEY CREEP LIKE DOTS COM is stunning ambient song to finish this good album. All in all, if you feel for something different than regular trance you should get this cause it is good collection of clever weirdness...8/10

I don't like vocals as well. They just ruin the tracks. I also like some samples or chanting voices but to actually sing some words that are mostly pure non sense, that sucks. Lemmi said : BTW by vocals I mean actualy lyrics, I have nothing against movie samples and/ or angelic voices singing from time to time (like the excellent Etnoscope - Sunrise or Indoor - The Key )........ I miss them a lot too! Trance music began with 303, in very begining of nineties. I will never get fed up with that sound cause it puts you straight to trance no matter how it is used. I liked it in the original trance, psychedelic trance, goa trance, it is simply the sound that should be there, if you're making that sort of music I mean. We all miss good old days of Green Nuns, Cosmosis, Pleiadians and other great old school artists.

Lemmi is right, it doesn't matter when you made goa trance to be called as such, but the guy is right somehow to call Shaolin Wooden Men as old school cause they did make psychedelic music back then, no matter if it wasn't goa trance. I say that goa trance is style of music that consists massive melodies morphing one into another constantly with oriental touches of drums and samples splashed all around. Old school psychedelic trance is some how different than old school goa trance just cause psychedelic structures were more defined than goa structures for having strong acid lines, 303, and trippy feel, so I can call Shaolin Wooden men as old school, but Quirk cannot be called, same stands for Rip Van Hippy...Still, howw can you choose the best one out of so many. I can say that Pleiadians/Etnica, Astral Projection, MFG, Cosmosis, Hallucinogen, Transwave, Green Nuns Of The Revolution, Prana, Dimension 5, Chi-A.D, Shakta, Man With No Name, Power Source and Blue Planet Corporation made some best old school ever.

I was actually not impressed by any of those two albums, I like few songs from both albums but I actually think that Jupiter 8000 had more Electric Universe melodies than Electric Universe. I didn't like new full on bass line in Electric Universe album, he lost his style as well unfortunately, even cause there are his melodies, they simply don't go with that silly kick. So, half half, I like one whole album from both, but he could left his old bass line of which he was recognisible.

BLUE PLANET CORPORATION - BLUE PLANET GREEN HOUSE EFFECT - GLOBAL WARMING MAN WITH NO NAME - INTERSTATE HIGHWAY ART OF TRANCE - WILDLIFE ON ONE THE MUSES RAPT - SPIRITUAL HEALING SAAFI BORTHERS - MIDNIGHT'S CHILDREN DOOF - IT'S ABOUT TIME DIGITALIS - THE THIRD STATE VATOS LOCOS - ATTACK AND RELEASE These are all lighter styles of psychedelic where Saafi Brothers and Doof are ambientish and progressive and Digitalis is more experimental, half breakbeat trance, half psychedelic and pretty good for tripping at home. Vatos Locos is new project of Doof and Earthling, making more fresh, progressive tracks. Blue Planet Corporation don't need description, it is pure perfection, you HAVE to get it. Green House Effect is other project of Itzik Levy aka Sandman and he made half club tracks half chill trance album but is great for home listening and Art of Trance album is more in regular trance style than progressive, very fresh even 8 years old by now. I hope you'll find all this great music but be sure to certainly get Blue Planet, The Muses Rapt, Saafi Brothers and Doof cause those albums are stunning.

I truly hope that this album won't sound too samba/rumba like their last single, I think that it was actually Beja Flor cause I forgot what was its name from not liking it so much. Their first album was mind blowing and it is very special piece of tripping, where their second one was more like a fun ride around the world. I hope they'll progress the sound rather than add extra crazy voice samples and singing like in that single, but I don't know, I can't predetermine things cause there is still Simon's hand most involved in this project. I am just dissapointed in Raja Ram cause I don't find him serious anymore at all...

@djnemo : Why is so important for everyone to sound different ? You, as a dj should know that if more artists use same sounds and effects in songs it would be great for mixing. With what you'd mix IM any ways if you don't have occassional similar artists ? Look how many artists use same sounds and effects and bass line in full on and a lot of people adore it. I don't mind if someone is using the same sounds as someone, I mind if the strucutures are same or melodies. So, I understand your PERSONAL taste but in your opinion I smelled cynicism rather than taste...Cheers

They all made song in the certain key and the concept is actually good. It was before when Raja Ram still had good concepts in his sleeve and not this non-sense he's been releasing these days. The concept of this album is journeys into innerself with floaty, dreamy melodies and very smooth production. The production is of course on the highest level considering who made the songs. I like all of the songs but my favourite ones are : LOGIC BOMB, PROCESS, TOTAL ECLIPSE, MANMADEMAN, DOOF, SYNTHETIC, ANTIDOTE and HALLUCINOGEN ones. If you like gentle, drifty collection of mind soothing concept, you'd certainly like this album. What a shame Raja Ram don't release more of this stuff lately...We all miss MISTERY OF THE YETI days or MYSTICAL EXPERIENCES. This album is in similar concept but developed on some other levels as well....9/10
