I'd go for ECLIPSE very much but TWISTED and THE LONE DERANGER are the ones that are his best.

I got it and I am also dissapointed. I absolutely hate IM THE SUPERVISOR, MUSE BREAKZ, CITIES OF THE FUTURE... The rest is not bad but certainly not special. Only RATIO SHMATIO and HORUS THE CHORUS are worth some attnetnion and BOMBAT and STRECTHED are also very nice... Rest...below average....5/10

Stunning album ! It is even more progressed style than before and whole album sounds like you're inside the labyrinth with sounds and voices all around you. I like all songs but my favourite ones are : CONQUISTADOR PT.1, WAR DOGS, MONA LISA, MUTANT MESSAGE ( amazing ambient pices done with Delta ), ANGELS AND MEN, NAVRAS...Juno simply never dissapoint...10/10

INDAKASA Here is the first album by well known german trance producer A.C. Bousten aka Cygnus X. He released famous singles The Orange Theme and Superstring which were his biggest hits. He released this album back in 95 and beside one average song others are pretty amazing. He started the album with pretty weird KINDERLIED, which means child's lullaby. On the contrary of the name, song is pretty fast and wild and pretty good. It has two parts with almost unhearable transition between them. HYPERMETRICAL goes to another realms, more drummed and tribal and it is pretty good too. Then comes one of the best on album, psychedelic piece DELIBERATION which is one of the biggest hits from the album, also wild, and pretty hard, it almost sopunds like psychedelic trance. it is very energetic and concrete. TURN AROUND is the most melodic one on album and somehow I like it most, it is perfect. It has hypnotic melody that slides and goes and goes, entrancing you more and more. SYNCHRONISM is pretty good one, he also mad eit slightly psychedelic but it could have been done better actually. THE ORANGE THEME RMX is almost as good as original, slightly more progressed and longer, third best on album with the same melody there but stretched pretty much. INDAKASA finishes the album as the only one ambient, it is pretty good too and a bit funky. All in all, this is good album, but he could have done it slightly better as a matter of fact. He could have made more songs like SUPERSTRING which was mindblowing piece of artistic trance music...8/10

I can't name single album, all you mentioned plus another dozen. Maybe between Trust In Trance and Identified Flying Objects. But, I like all of the old school albums and I mean all ( that I have heard of and that is most of them ).

There are lots of melodies and structures are rather developed. I like all songs and they all go perfectly with each other. I like the concept of both volumes exploring the wonders of the world. You feel like you are on the voyage listening to this. First song is absolutely perfect. it is very melodic, smooth and drifty. One of the best on compilation. Second one, DESIRE is also pretty good but a bit weaker than the rest of the songs. Then comes second best SYMMETRY, also very melodic with crystal production. ALIENATED don't need description, AMAZING, even psychedelic song. SUPERSTRING is one of the best song by Cygnus X, floaty, spacey a little bit. FIREDANCE is also very good and trancey. FRANKY'S is not bad but it could have been done better for me. It just lacks something. THE ORANGE THEME is another classic by Cygnus X, pretty stunning. CAPRIOLE THREE is very good one, also trancey and smooth. BLUE ILLUSION is pretty good ambient song by Stevie B - Zet. This is even better volume than first one. You should get it if you're seriously into trance...10/10

THE VOLUNTEERS - SUN DOWN 10.JAVA - COSMOS 11.BRAINCHILD - SYNFONICA Here is one of the best early trance compilations where trance started to develop more artistically than with regular acid formula. Germans always tend to make trance sound more progressed how the years were passing. They started to develop artistic structures since 1993 and they managed to deliver perfect morning gentle trance compilations. This is one of them and it is rather simple but very beautiful. For its time I cannot even say that it was simple but compared to nowadays production and skills that's how it sounds. First song was one of the biggest trance hits especially then, CAFE DEL MAR but compared to original this one is much better. It is stunning song, very melodic and cute, with positive generic melody floating thru the track. MAGNIFICA is pretty good old trance piece with its fast rhythm and moring feel, very nice. WONDERER is one of the best on compilation. How all of you already know it, I don't need to describe, simply perfect, much better than original with vocals. it has one of the best melodies ever, PERFECT ! NO FATE is another one best on compilation, having almost melancholic, sad melody that simply gives ytou faith instead of taking it, also PERFECT ! SEE YOU is pretty good ambiental piece with lots of spacey melodies and optimistic feel. TROYA is pretty nice song, it has morning epic melodies sort of. FREEBEACH is very cute song, with lots of trance melodies and atmosphere, delicious. AIRBORN is stunning song, you can hear presence of Oliver Lieb and it is very melodic and energetic. it is maybe the fastest one here. SUN DOWN is pretty good too but the melody do tend to be slightly melancholic, but it is very good song. COSMOS is perfect ambient song and I absolutely love it. Very spacey, floaty and dreamy and then comes third best on the compilation - SYNFONICA. What a track ! It is very short but so rich and powerful, simply perfect. If you already don't own this compilation, you should cause it is pretty good collection of early classics...9/10

I haven't heard new Miraculix album but new Talamasca - Made In Trance is pretty catchy. It is not made in old school style but it is surely better than ZODIAC. His live act was fenomenal, much better than album.

PANDORA'S BOX Seeing that no one reviwed this album, I decided to do it considering that is amongst the best one from this year. Maybe new Juno Reactor will beat it but don't know. Micky and Uriel decided to go even more further in developing their sound and they deliver us maybe their best album by now. Previous one, Elecktro Theater was very good, best by that time, but this one is even better. They started to use lots of melodies, which is what drives you on this album, but the album is not entirely melodic. It is pretty clever album, and it has more concept than any previous one. CYBERMANCY wasn't that good, CYCLOTRON was pretty minimal and progressive at some stages but it was good. ELECKTRO THEATER was smooth, bouncey and wild at some stages and their best until this one which just takes you to another dimension. All songs have certain bass melody which drives you and make you dance non stop. I like all songs but the best ones are : BABY HELICON, HENTAI, ELECTRIFY, HAIKU ( ! ), PANDORA'S BOX...9/10

With all due respect towards the masters, I think they sold themselves with this release and as John Cocco said how could they possibly allow for some remixes to appear on this compilation cause some really sounds childish and boring actually. I mean, after 2 + years, we could got something fresh from them. But, I don't want to criticise cause I still have hope for them to release new, better stuff although some new stuff I heard in live act sounded more dark and slightly more minimalistic ( but not minimal ), just more minimal compared to their old sound.

I started listening to techno/rave music back in 93. I went on few parties and was gobsmacked but still haven't heard any psy. I started listening to psy in 1995, being on some psy parties and it was wonderful. I started to collect psychedelic and goa trance in 96 and since then I am absolutely hooked.

STUNNING album ! He still doesn't dissapoint. He is still the master...One of the best albums this year. Get it !

They had numerous side projects of which 2 most popular are DELERIUM and SYNAESTHESIA. Since DELERIUM is variable ambient project, this one is more concentrated and focused. They released 3 albums as Synaesthesia and they are all an absolute PERFECTION. Yes, all 3 are perfect cause they don't have slight flaw in arrangements, musical wise and production wise. This is their second album, after EMBODY from 1995 and before EPHEMERAL from 1997. This album is absolute gem, there isn't one bad song on both discs, so we have 14 brilliant songs masterfully pulled together. ANDROMEDIA is the only trancey song on an album and it does sound a bit out of place cause it is trancey but is stunning song nevertheless. ORION NEBULAE is perfect ambient spacey journey. It is very floaty, dreamy with perfect melody. I actually won't go song by song, cause they are all great, I just want to name my favourite : ORION NEBULAE ( !!! ), UMBRA, DNA BARCODE, SURFACE SYSTEM ( the best on whole album, dark, gloomy, shivery and freaky ), SUBVERSION, LUMIA ( ! ), HALLUCINATIONS ( ! ), MOSAIC ( !! ). LIFELESS ( !!! ), TUBASTREA AUREA, so practically all of them...get it if you like ambient music and extremely clever music...11/10

I don't mind if someone is using the same sounds or strucuture of the song. I mean, you need songs to mix together. I mind if someone is using the same compositions or style cause that is what should stay as an author work. There are heaps of original artists : ASTRAL PROJECTION, PLEIADIANS/ETNICA, HALLUCINOGEN, INFECTED MUSHROOM, SPACE CAT, OFORIA, X-DREAM, KOXBOX, MFG, CHI-A.D, COSMOSIS etc and to imitate what they do would be just silly. That is what artists need this day, originality. Even some progressed, 'original' songs can sound same just cause of stubborn use of same strucutures without variations. I think that full on and progressive are suffering from the same disease, no matter cause they are completely different genres.
