OUTBURST 10.GREEN SKY IS RED 11.MENTALICITY Seeing that there are reviews of old albums I decided to put small review of this stunning album by old trancers Earth Nation. They released only this album after extremely successfull hit ALIENATED which i find as one of the better trance songs from that period. This album is more on a chill side. It is not as trancey as that single but it is pretty good. Whole album is in slight mix and they put mixture of ambient and trance songs. There is famous THE IKARUS SYNDROME hit which is amazing and beside that there is brilliant TRANSFIGURATION, GREEN SKY IS RED, ELUCIDATE, AN ARTIFICIAL DREAM. There is one of the best ambient songs I've heard from that period: OUTBURST...Whoa, what a great piece of music. MENTALICITY is also great ambient track. This album may sound old for someone now but it is surely piece of classy album from beginning of the trance era. Everyone that are seriously into trance and ambient should have this one...9/10

I liked this album too and I find it better than Hardcore Blastoff as well. This isn't classical israeli clone as Lemmi said...Psysex has their own style and it is crazy. i like their sense of humor. They are naughty and I like it. Best on album : COME IN PEACE, ALTERED STATES, PUZZLE ( ! ), FLYING SAUCERS, RETURN TO VORTEX...7.5/10

Fosku, it is actually Pleiadians - Time Dilation from The Truth Of Communication compilation from Matsuri records. And yes, it is easily one of the best goa trance songs ever and if not the best from Pleiadians.

Hey, I actually got it today. I couldn't believe when I saw your post. I also liked it except those few tracks with vocals. I can't call it acid house but more original trance, when trance started developing back then 91-93. There are few very good melodic songs and the rest is pretty simple, energetic, sympathetic trance. Nice.

Yep, it is that album, that supposed to be released 2 years ago...I don't know what happend with the album, but I got the copy and it is not great but not bad...7/10

Yep, it is brilliant album ! Maybe last Goa Trance album with Dimension 5 - Second Phaze from 2000, year when Goa Trance stopped. I actually just wanted to post the thread about Ra. Anyone knows anything about him ? Did he completely quit making music ? It would be a shame. And, yes, Dimension 5 first album is pure classic, platinum piece of music...You have to find it Amithaba Buddha especially cause you are into goa trance and that is pure goa bliss...

My friend, DJ, brought me promo of Joti Sidhu's new album. Huuh, it is much different than his previous one, Cause And Effect and it is more in the old style. Some songs do tend to be monotonous but he has some pretty wild ones as well. There is rmx of Chaos To Order on it and it is pretty good, not that good as original of course and it more sounds like it was made before original. Original sounds fresh and psychedelic, this rmx sounds like first version of it, dry and kicking. I still think he could have put more effort considering he hadn't released an album for 5 years. I don't have the tracklisting cause I think that album hasn't been released yet, but I heard he is about to release it. Prepare yourself for dark, misty trance from the master.

Great album ! I also think it is one of the best this year. Very melodic with nice pace and good rhythms.Avi again managed to make good album, after 3 pretty good ones. This is his second best after Shapes Of Sound. Every song has clear melodic line followed by nice synths, basslines and effects. I like every song on album and the best are EMOTIONS, ELECTRO SHOCK, TRANCEFORMER, MECHANICAL DREAM...9/10

I am with you guys...They are no matter whoever say still masters of the genre and whatever they input won't be dissapointing. BTW, I heard John 00 Fleming Rmx and it is not full on at all. It exactly sounds like it has been made in 1996. I am also not for full on remixes of Astral Projection, but what a heck, we are waiting for new album anyway.

Hahaha, that was funny...Don't worry, they are in big fear from their authorities so they have to lie about it. I am pretty sure they are not that naive. Plus, I wasn't talking about them in that thread but in general, for example Etnica...their sound sounds like cocaine induced state...heheh

Yes, you're right Ladic and I like new artists bringing new ideas, but I can't believe that pioneers lack new ideas especially if they had great ones. How can you change your brain functions unless you take some other drugs maybe ? I believe that years of best goa and psychedelic music were spent on LSD and MDMA and that artists these days produce music on COCAINE, SPEED or other experiments they're having with their conciousness.

I really hope they are reading some comments somewhere cause I can't believe they decided to make this music just for sake of money, but what a heck, everyone changed their style so why won't they ? It's a real shame that respected artists are making worse music than newcommers.

To answer about quality music from this year : WIZZY NOISE - STEREO ELECTRIC SPACE CAT - MECHANICAL DREAM FOUR CARRY NUTS - MECHANICAL AGE SURIA - LOGICAL EVOLUTION JUPITER 8000 - TWISTED BLISS PROMETHEUS - ROBOT.O.CHAN I was a bit dissapointed about ELECTRIC UNIVERSE's last album cause he also moved to full on style that don't fit him that well, but the album is not bad in fact. I am also slightly dissapointed with ATMOS album cause he minimized it a lot since his last output. ATOMIC PULSE also released average album after pretty psychedelic first one. ALIEN PROJECT released good album but he could have done it much better. All in all not such good year for now. 2003 was slightly better. Although, I haven't heard so many releases this year cause I lost intrest in nowadays trance music. I believe that THE MISTED MUPPET made a good album that I haven't heard yet. I hope there will be more psychedelic releases by the end of the year.

How is possible that once great psychedelic act can corrupt themselves so much and moved from rich, psychedelic build ups to hip hop whining funky trance beats ? I can't understand such 'progress'...I went to their live act few weeks ago and I couldn't believe my ears. I was actually dead bored half way through especially after Amit sung few hip hopish trax.Their new single Cities Of The Future is twisted diabolic deviacy of their original sound. Psychedelic days are gone how I see...

Yes, it is stunning film ! The editing is simply amazing ! The only flaw with the film is using Goa Gil as some kind of guru that introduces you to the trip. I could hear that with less american accent. But, beside that it is amazing !

I heard 2 versions of Orange Theme from Cygnus X themselves, one from compilation Behind The Eye 2 and remixed one from the album Hypermetrical. I found in the meantime Man With No Name's remix of that song but I doubt it it would be on compilation you mention.

Yes, music descended a lot past years but it developed on some other levels. I can say that there are some new releases that are pretty good and a bit in old style - WIZZY NOISE - STEREO ELECTRIC, great album, if not the best this year...JOTI SIDHU's new album, SPACE CAT - MECHANICAL DREAM, SURIA - LOGICAL EVOLUTION, psychedelic piece, JUPITER 8000 - TWISTED BLISS, Boris Blenn new melodic album, Spun compilation UTOPIA is pretty good too. There is one remix I respect most this year and that is John OO Fleming's Remix for Mahadeva. What an emotional piece of music and at the same time some kind of rework. Pretty refreshing. I hope that the artists will start again and refresh our minds with more melodies and harmonies we all miss a lot.

I am also in Old School and Psychedelic tribe but I like both progressive and some full on as well...Full on somehow gets boring after a while and almost unhearable at all. That's a shame cause there are some intersting ideas in that style as well...But I would any time return to wild demented psychedelic or melodic epic sounds.

What a shame man ! I mean that is really a bummer ! Amongst so many disposable acts that are around here, someone innovative and imaginative to quit making good music is a real shame. I really hope as well that this full on era will come to an end as soon as possible so that more of the pioneers and masters of the sound can produce their own music back again. I wish you good luck in whatever you are planning to do afterwards...Peace

C'mon guys, AMEN is really not that bad ! It surely is not even in the same league as their other albums but it surely is not crappy. They changed the style and I feel bad about that, but they still delivered very good songs : ELECTRIC BLUE which was in almost the same old Astral style, THE NEXUS - psychedelic brilliant piece of music, INFINITE JUSTICE - another brilliant melodic work, CHAOS which was pretty good too, HEAVEN'S GATE , a bit smoother, gentler song but still very good...so, this is not a crappy album at all, just not classical...I give it 7/10

Huh, it doesn't suck at all. There is no better addictive drug in the world than music, no matter how much you're listening to it...I truly hopw I'll never get off that drug.
