I agree with both of you, Lemmi and Grahf, but that is exactly what I was talking about Graph, to reproduce old spirituality in a new, fresh, brilliant way...And I do admit that even those active masters got lazy nowadays. I really miss the days of progressive goa trance that started to develop in 99 after which I was really expecting best music to come but it suddenly ended in year 2000 with the minimal era...If it continued from there and didn't minimalise itself so soon, I think that by now trance would have developed into something more mesmerising, twisted, spiritual and primal...Instead of progressing the sound for spiritual causes, the sound got progressed for mental and intellectual causes...

What i meant to say is that there aren't any more of those concepts....strong,passionate,uncompromising concepts they had, making under those projects. Sure that Dado and Christophe are making music still, but there hasn't been anything released from Power Source at all, except of 2 Power Course songs, nor MFG is functioning anymore...Not to mention wonderful UX, after which Slide continued making for some time but in the end quit...There isn't that spirit anymore...I respect changing styles, having different tastes but trance scene didn't need another great project colapsing especially now, in this sea of new artits coming out every day...bringing nothing new to the scene...and as some guy stated above doing copy-paste of something that was truly wonderful and captivating before...

WTF ? Is that for real ? Why did they decide that ? Based on what ? If that's true I would really start thinking of abandoning trance completely ( huh, that was a lie ), but I am actually FURIOUS ! All of the best artists decided to quit : Transwave ( back in 96 ), UX ( back in 97 ), Power Source ( back in 2000 ), Indoor/Inscape/Phreaky ( back in 97 ), Hallucinogen is rarely making any trance stuff, MFG ( back in 2001 ), Koxbox ( last year )...Why do they all had to quit ? Not a chance that is based on lack of ideas ! They had plenty of ideas ! What is wrong with people ? If I hear some other break soon, I'll get a breakdown too...Horrible ! And please, ;/, explain us how did that happen?

Yeah, Classical Goa in 2003 ? Not a chance ! oCtodur, if you have your own narrowminded taste, which is in this case liking an obvious, obnoxious, ludacreous idiot like Skazi then you're not better than him...The guy is an obvious loser that has very good production skills, I can admit that but he is a total immature idiot..I saw his clip the other day on TV, what a crap! He almost jerked off in front of the camera, doing fucking movements in front of the camera...How pathetic...! Well, I actually liked Alien Project Rmx of People Can Fly...Of course it is not even near the original but it is pretty good as it is...I really hope that Let There Be Light Rmx is better and not to mention Dado Rmx, which I can hardly wait...but, when I remember how bad his last album was, I wouldn't be surprised if it is not even that special coz Body & Soul is pretty lame...

Yep, they were great when they were functioning together but you forgot to mention their best album actually - FOREVER AFTER...What a trip ! But, I like their all albums and especially singles as Psychopod - DREAMPOD, PSYCHOPOD, etc...Their latest installement, PHUTURES AND OPTIONS was pretty good but it didn't match previous efforts...

Heh, Lemmi, you've got point but I heard them live and they presented new stuff that didn't sound at all like older stuff...They were more progressed with lots of twists and I actually liked it...I think that people were bashing them too much that they finally decided to move onto another genre and progress their sound. Their new sound somehow sounds darker and more random. Of course, there are melodies but they are thrown at the end of the songs...so, I don't know how new album would sound like...just not to sound like their new single I haven't heard but that has pretty nasty title - Back From Hell....I truly hope they haven't projected themsleves there and now they are bringing us the result...)))

You surely know Cosma and his two great albums : SIMPLICITY, NON STOP...There is stunning Vibrasphere album - LIME STRUCTURE...If you like this kind of style you should also get Atmos two early albums - HEADCLEANER and OVERLAP....Those albums are pure progressive bliss...I cannot recommend you anything minimal since I am not that interested in that genre...Cheerzz...

I agree with 303, most of new artists don't know how to make melodies, and I think that old producers don't even bother anymore to produce spiritual music cause that kind of music with melodies, chanting and general good feel isn't fashionable anymore...As someone stated earlier in some thread, no one wants to release Chi-A.D. new album cause he is still making old school goa trance, WITH MELODIES ! I think that nowadays sfx, patterns and samples took over the scene and that is basically all that you can hear in a party...except of some Israeli that continued making melodic trax but again with very poor background...Sad ! Yeah, Lemmi, you forgot to mention Dado that was making one of the best melodies, both guys from Pleiadians / Etnica, Serge Souque from Total Eclipse...None of them even bother making music, not to mention their regression in sound and melodies ( Deedrah, Total Eclipse )...

I agree...It is one of the worst songs I have ever heard...When Raja Ram played it in his 2 different sets I really didn't know what to think about the guy that I like so much...How innovative to play Seek & Destroy, Mescaline for 2 different nights, half a year apart !

Well, I actually separate those two genres...Not all progressive is minimal and of course, minimal albums don't have slight progression in them so I don't know which one I could actually recommend you...Cause most of progressive albums aren't even that fast...Sorry for such post but it is a bit silly making those two completely different genres the same...There are minimal and progressive trance albums, I never heard about minimal/progressive albums...unless is boring Noma - Navigator that is progressed minimalism and it is not even that fast...or Spirallianz first album that is great minimalistic work...other than that I can't name you any progressive/minimal albums...Umm, maybe new Ticon - Aero...Heh

We all miss Silicon trip days although Enlightened Ape was pretty good and psychedelic...But what was he thinking with Out Of Sight ? Clearly one of the dullest psy albums around...Pity ! He had great skills and talent...Do you remember one of his greatest works he done with Moonweed - Micronesia...Whoaaa! If he only continued with such stuff, he would be among top trance producers ever...Other goodies from that period were Amber Mantra, Indra's Net, Arsim On Acid....

Guitars are so boring nowadays in trance...They completely ruin the songs...The older tracks with guitars were great like Tim Schuldt, Delta, SUN Project or Boris Blenn usage of guitars...Guitar nowadays sounds somehow primitive when you hear it...When I heard LSD For Nothing by 1200 Mic's I was so dissapointed...
