V/A - Fill Your Head With Phantasm 5 Artist: Various Title: Fill Your Head With Phantasm 5 Label: Phantasm Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. Darshan : Slipstream 02. Multiplex : Twisted Tale 03. Mindfield : Twilight World 04. Somaton : Monogatari 05. Lumen : Way Up In The Air 06. Messiah : Reincarnation Of The Mysterious 07. Subcouds : Space Angel 08. Gorlation Corporation : Marmaduk 09. ECT : Maelstrom 10. Tromesa : Stereoplan Review: Really good collection of tunes from one of the most respected in the scene and at that time when psychedelic was wild and cyber, Phantasm made quite a psychedelic effort with Volume 5. From the very first track DARSHAN - SLIPSTREAM which is very energetic and fast we can hear what it's coming. Whole compilation is packed with dance floor stormers TWILIGHT WORLD, MONGATARI, WAY UP IN THE AIR, SPACE ANGEL, MAELSTROM, all great tunes. This one is from golden times when most of compilations were actually good and with the sense. Psychedelicatessen 8/10

V/A - Trancentral 4 : A Trip To Goa Artist: Various Title: Trancentral 4 : A Trip To Goa Label: Kickin Date: 1996 Track listing: CD 1 01. 7'42" The Pollinator : Clone 3 02. 5'53" Sirius 2 : Satori Razor 03. 6'48" Syb Unity Nettwerk : Cosmo Shiva 04. 6'18" Arcana : Orion 05. 4'34" Les Diaboliques : Cubit 06. 7'31" The Auranaut : Groove On Dream Off 07. 7'49" Etnica : Starship 101 08. 8'06" Shakta : Lepton Head CD 2 09. 7'04" Prana & Amanite Fx : Black Rain 10. 5'42" Doof : Full Moon Over Parvatti 11. 5'43" Bass Chakra : 230000 Miles (Innermix) 12. 7'19" Miranda : Timeless Worlds of Space 13. 6'55" Kode IV : Near To The Divine (Doof Rmx) 14. 7'21" Green Nuns Of The Revolution : Megallenic Cloud 15. 6'27" Transwave : Cycles Of Life 16. 7'38" Prana : Primal Orbit (Tribal Trance Mix) Review: Here we have one of the first Goa Trance volumes out of Kickin trance volumes...It is mixed by Tsuyoshi Suzuki and it is well mixed...could have been slightly better but it is still VERY GOOD choice of songs...First disc is rather minimal in the beginning but still pretty psychedelic...CLONE 3 is very good song by the same guys from X - Dream...SATORI RAZOR is good, and also COSMO SHIVA..STARSHIP 101 and LEPTON HEAD are 2 best songs on first disc...On the second disc we have more melodic Goa Trance and I actually like all songs : BLACK RAIN ( !!! ), FULL MOON OVER PARVATTI ( Best Doof song by far, real melodic psychedelia ), 230 000 MILES that is pretty good, TIMELESS WORLDS OF SPACE ( very good Miranda's song ), NEAR TO DIVINE ( haven't heard original but Doof's remix is pretty sucessful, MEGALLENIC CLOUD ( !!! ), CYCLES OF LIFE ( !!!!! ) and PRIMAL ORBIT ( The name of Remix says all, really tribal trance ending )..All in all, this disc might sound old to the new freaks, but to serious TRANCE LISTENERS would sound as good as any other perfect Goa Trance...9/10

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly Aren't new Artists..It is side project of Deedrah with someone else...I actually couldn't recognized Deedrah in it...Still, it is pretty good...

Extremely good album...It is very different and has various ethnic collages...PISTOLERO is a spanish trance twister and one of the best on album...HULELAM is more African oriented and INSECTS are absolutely stunning, another one of the best...BADIMO is more darker and primal, and then comes one of the best JUNO REACTOR songs ever - MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE...What a track !NITROGEN 1 and 2 are both amazing songs and SOLARIS is one of the best ambiental works of all time.....SONG FOR ANCESTORS is another perfect song...It has one of the best female vocals that I have ever heard....10.5/10

Art of Trance - Voice of Earth Artist: Art of Trance Title: Voice of Earth Label: Platipus Date: 1999 Track listing: 01. 6'20" Breathe 02. 8'30" Monsoon 03. 7'35" The Hummer 04. 7'05" Madagascar 05. 7'40" Requiem 06. 7'00" Dud Uk 07. 6'30" Easter Island 08. 7'15" Stealth 09. 7'15" Panorama 10. 6'30" Voice Of Earth Review: I usually don't like Platipus music so much, it is cute trance, earthy and catchy but this album really has quality trance songs...It is just plain trance, no psychedelic, and no EVIL as all trance acts are providing us with these days...This is melodic and islandic album... Simon Berry really take you to the journey into the EARTH...If you like melodic and sea album you will certainly like this one...best on album : MONSOON, MADAGASCAR ( ! ), REQUIEM, EASTER ISLAND, PANORAMA...7.5/10

Pretty good compilation...Nothing extraordinary here except SIX CELLS, THE DOMINATOR, SO NICE YOU NAME IT TWICE...Those are stunning songs...Good songs are : ORCHESTRAL OFFENDER, KNOB ADJUSTMENT, SATURN, NOTHING WAS WORKING, DREAMTIME, TRAVELLING...others are rather or minimal, or too progressive and repetitive at the times...CD 1 : 7/10 and CD 2 : 7.5/10...

Amazing album ! It is her best...It is old scholl GOA at it's best...I like all songs, she really manages to twist your grey cells with masterful skill in producing real essence of Goa Trance...But that only happend on this album...Until ASYNJA she didn't manage to produce real GOA trance but stylised Tech - Trance which I didn't like that much...But this album is a masterpiece...Beside liking all songs I especially like : STEPS TO THE STARS, SUBTROPICAL FOREST, LABYRINTH, GREEN MAN, PHENOMENA, CONCORDE...10/10

V/A - Hacking the Reality Myth Artist: Various Title: Hacking the Reality Myth Label: Psy-Harmonics Date: 1996 Track listing: 01. 8'26" The Visitors : Tiny Little Engines 02. 6'30" Shaolin Wooden Men : Ragu 03. 9'46" Reflecta : Creatures 04. 5'59" Insurge : Speculator 05. 8'45" Parasonix : Buzzbug 06. 6'51" Fluoro Conspiracy : Ancient Suns 07. 9'01" Snake Thing : Shango 08. 7'06" Max Q : Sometimes (Budget Truffles Rmx) 09. 8'07" Psyko Disko : Nobody Review: Huh, this very weird compilation like all Australian psychedelic trance works...It has very good songs and very bad ones..I usually don't like to name bad songs but I have to tell you now cause they are really too much : SPECULATOR, SOMETIMES and NOBODY ( Being maybe the worst PSY TRANCE song I have ever heard...But the good ones are : TINY LITTLE ENGINES ( ! ), RAGU, CREATURES ( ! ), BUZZBUG, SHANGO ( ! ), ANCIENT SUNS...so, it is half half compilation...If you like crazy, twisted sounds get it anyway, it is fun to listen to...7/10

It definately grew on me... No, I find it as one of the finest chill out albums around...It is extremely sophisticated, intelectual and experimental...Sure, it is not better than ARE YOU SHPONGLED ? cause that was one of the best piece of artistry, but still, this album is a real masterpiece... Best on album : DORSET PERCEPTION, ROOM 23, MY HEAD FEELS LIKE FRISBEE, SHPONGLEYES, AROUND THE WORLD IN A TEA DAZE...9/10

I have to add one more review...My opinion hasn't changed, I like this album as much as before , just my grade went up... Only if they missed 5 AM, CHINA and RONI'S GUITAR the grade would be 10/10...But, those songs somehow don't work that well, especially for concept like this...Still, AGE OF INNOCENCE 1 and 2, ASHES TO ASHES, NARNYA, MAMA KALLU and JAMARAQUI RMX are one of the best songs I have ever heard...7.5/10
-
STUNNING album...I don't understand someone saying that this is chill album...IT IS NOT...There are 3 chill songs but the rest is pretty fast and even wild ( Spheric Concept ) ...It is changed Etnica from their first one but, still similar sounds and effects...Best on album : INFINITE DREAM, MOON INFLUENCE, SPHERIC CONCEPT ( !!! ), MYSTICAL APPEARANCE IN GOA ( !!! )...9/10

Even after so many years, Blenn's first albums still rock, he is the true master of psychedelia.
-
Best on album : HYPNOTICA ( great track, done with Guy Zukrel), ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE ( another great track done with Miko from California Sunshine ), TOTAL CONCIOUSNESS, DIABLO ( Great track ), ONE STEP TO THE MOON...8.5/10

VERY Good Album...Old School Goa at it's best...Dimension 5 is one of the most uplifting british goa ever...I like all songs but the best are : MOON CAKE, LIMITLESS DIMENSION, BEYOND THE STARS, TRANSFORMATION, THE Z PRINCIPLE, MIND TO MIND...9/10
-
Very good album...It is extremely melodic, emotional and cyber at the times...It is real shame that they made only one album with such a strong talent they've got...MEMORY BUBBLES is one of the best GOA songs ever written...9/10.... To Quetzagoatl : A bit souless ? Heh, that is unbelievable what you said : SKYWALKER, MEMORY BUBBLES and GRANADA are too much soulful and spiritual...VORLAN and HYPERSPACE are amazing as well...This album is stunning..only if they miss THE X TRAIN...

Good compilation but I was expecting something else, not hearing first volume....I was expecting more downtempo and ambient compilation...Still, it is pretty good but not my favourite...Best on comp : OMNIDUB, OVERSLEEP, AMBROSIA, ROOF MEET, THE BIG SLEEP...7/10
-
Pretty good German stuff...First 6 songs aren't that much morning trance but last 3 are...First part is rather minimal but melodic minimal...Middle part is good but nothing that spectacular....My favourites are : KIRK FART, TRAUMTANZ, RENT A WAVE ( very good ambiental song ), MORNING...7/10

V/A - Fill Your Head With Phantasm 6 Artist: Various Title: Fill Your Head With Phantasm 6 Label: Phantasm Date: 2000 Track listing: 01. Tufaan : Tufaan (Green Nuns 99 Flakey Mix) 02. Manmademan : Karahana 03. Shakta : Kick The Baby 04. Mindfield And Baraka : VD Massacre 05. Mumbo Jumbo : Kinda Weirda 06. Vibrasphere : The Open Sphere 07. Bisto Boys : Shnarsty 08. Mino : 2000 Compatible 09. Quirk : Sale Of The Century Review: Another psychedelic compilation by Phantasm, as usual. this one is rather better than previous volume...It has some not that interesting songs too, but the good ones are psychedelic enough to twist your brain...:)TUFAAN, KARAHANA, KINDA WEIRDA, THE OPEN SPHERE and 2000 COMPATIBLE are the best on compilation....7.5/10
-
Yes, you're right...It is definetely the best...I was an idiot of not mentioning...
-
I've listened it a bit more and actually forgotten about it...That says all...Last time I've listened, those voice samples killed my every single hope in this album...Only DANCE LIKE NOBODY'S WATCHING that is hypnotic and psychedelic is worth some attention still...Maybe DIMENSION SHIFT too...Rest...BLAH....5/10
-
Yes, Joti set is definately one of the best SETS EVER...SO HARD, STOMPING, PUMPING, DARK, CUT EDGE, MESMERIZING....I felt like a mad man on his party...If you're reading this Joti, JUST KEEP UP WITH GOOD WORK !

THis is incredible...Nova Tekk put in last compilations ( Goa Head, Pulse, Chakra's ) nothing but only 5 different groups : ZEROTONIN, CHI - AD, THE DELTA, TARSIS, FEUERHAKE, LANDO songs, so there isn't any innovation, just selfish artists promotions...That is digusting...Where are other groups like Shakta, Electric Universe, MFG or some other groups that do make goa trance...I don't like that selfish German thing of just putting their own artists...THat is really hypocritical and if you generally don't like pretentious music making DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO GET LAST COMPILATIONS from Goa Head, Pulse and Tan Trance....The series that were one of the best when there was GOA TRANCE around... SKIP THIS SELF PROMOTIONS, only if you simply adore minimal trance and techno but those that are searching for GOa or psychedelia, just forget this recent volumes...
