  1. I thought as well, and was dissapointed with their previous 2 albums, but in LIVE, they are something completely different, not at all mainstream and clubby shit, but rather energising, groovy live act, with only few vocals here and there. They even remixed the vocal tracks into instrumentals for the LIVE. Truly incredible experience.
  2. I have just returned from one of the BEST Live Acts I have ever attended. OMFG ! Chems are fantastic ! So groovy, so bouncey, so fresh, with new ideas and various styles, taking completely different direction with new album WE ARE THE NIGHT. I was only sorry they haven't played almost no tracks from their first one EXIT PLANET DUST and my favourite DIG YOUR OWN HOLE. But nevertheless, their Live Performance was so massive, so powerful and yet concrete and simple. All of my friends and almost 15000 people were more than pleased. Chewy breakbeat melted with some psychedelic rock, downtempo, trip hop with dance beats. I haven't liked their last 2 albums but in live they sound so fresh and good. The performance was beyond expectations even though I expected a lot coz they are Chemical Brothers. 2 hours of cyber fun with perfect lights, loads of lasers in multi colors, completely trippy, hillarious video beam VJing, perfect top notch production and awesome sound all blended into perfect multimedial event. Here is the tracklisting from the party so whenever they are around you, ATTEND coz they just rock ! No Path to Follow Galvanize Burst Generator Do it Again Get Yourself High Hey Boy Hey Girl All Rights Reversed Krafty Numbers Out Of Control Don't Fight Control Temptation Star Guitar Surface to Air Under the Infuence Saturate Believe We are the Night Golden Path Chemical Beats Das Spiegel The Sunshine Underground All in all, I have huge respect for them. They are crucial part of electronic scene and one of the best british producers around, up there with Prodigy, Orbital and Underworld. They made 5 albums and numerous singles, mixing various kind of music for compilations and contributing a lot to the electronic scene. They tend to make loads of commerical tracks in previous 3 albums but their ealier work IS ESSENTIAL, especially first three albums : 1995 - EXIT PLANET DUST !! 1997 - DIG YOUR OWN HOLE !!! 1999 - SURRENDER ! 2001 - COME WITH US 2004 - PUSH THE BUTTON 2007 - WE ARE THE NIGHT So, here post your appreciation values for them, if there are at all. For me, even though they belong to completely different scene, they deserve the mention here.
  3. This topic needs radi and his opinion. Without it, there is no real Hallucinogen Appreciation Topic.
  4. Check Astralasia and Asia 2001 for oriental influences in trance, they also have some slower tracks.
  5. Oi Phobe ! Finally an album ! And it sounds psychedelic...
  6. FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY - BENEATH THE RUBBLE ( COMBICHRIST RMX )
  7. Stunning album ! So psychedelic, so crunchy ! It reminds me on Infected Mushroom a bit, in structure and style... but it has more twists... This is by far my favourite album from this year, not that I have listened to that much, but this tasty psychedelia caught my attention. 8/10

    New MOS!

All of their albums are stunning especially DRIVE... so rusty, so dark, so claustrophobic, deep atmospheres... I also want the new album already !
  9. Uh, very crunchy description Goannes, I am already drooling.
  10. Heh, but really, when was this album scheduled ?
  11. Yeah ! Billy Bob Cosmosis is da man ! It seems that LSD track by Hallucinogen inspired many artists in the scene to start making trance music. For me, all of his albums until Trancedance were top notch, Cosmology and Synergy being highlights. I still like his style though, it is wacko and psychedelic enough for my taste.
  12. For me, they are very energising. The name of the topic is PURE ENERGY, those tracks I find with special energy, no matter the pace and speed of the tracks. Bahamut said that it doesn't need to be fast and I could actually go on and on about the tracks that are energetic for me, but I thought that would be enough for a start. I could also add VERNON - WONDERER and LSG - DOWN TO EARTH.
  13. Everything up to 150 BPM is bareable.
  14. FRACTAL GLIDER - PARASITE FRACTAL GLIDER - DIGITAL MANDALA ELECTRYPNOSE - BRAIN STRECTHING
  15. Empirion - Narcotic Influence Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up Underworld - Moaner LSG - Netherworld Speedy J - Pepper Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar Cygnus X - Superstring The Age Of Love - The Age Of Love Razor's Edge - Exqusite Sin ( Dream Mix ) Man With No Name - Low Commotion Electric Universe - Electronic Pulsation Blue Planet Corporation - Antidote Astral Projection - Black & White MFG - New Kind Of World

  17. Euhm, no.... but it is still pretty hillarious album...
  18. Enough ? OK, maybe it is not : ASTRIX - EYE TO EYE ALIEN PROJECT - AZTECHNO DREAM TALAMASCA - MUSICA DIVINORUM XEROX & FREEMAN - HUMAN RACE SPACE CAT - MECHANICAL DREAM Can't think of anything good beside those at the moment... wait for more answers.
  19. Welll, they are back in some ways, but trance music nowadays has never been more hyperproductive and the more it's made, the less quality there is. But you are right, melodies are back in the game and who knows how long will that last. I hope for new revival, but not only with Suntrip. Who knows, I am resting from trance for some time in any case... BTW, Ormion, your new avatar is wicked ! Hah, LOL ! Hillarious !
  20. Awesome news ! Now this one is the most anticipated album from this year for me.
