Traveller i think that you should be little more careful on this situation before judging anyone. Like i see Michelle has done some mistakes in her communication with the label. Also ofcourse the label has done some mistakes in their communication and aggreement with the artist. P.S If being next to impossible to contact a label sounds rather suspicious then Twisted Records is the number one suspect simply because its not possible to contact them in any way through the mail and phone number they got in their site.It doesnt matter if you want to contact them for good or bad reason,you just cant find anyone there hehe.

Spindrift most of the artists today (at least in the psy trance scene) ask for an ammount in advance and dont care at all about the royalties simply because there are no big sales around.For example artist X that wants to sell his album will ask you for lets say 5000 euro in advance and thats the whole story,he doesnt care if you will sell 1000 or 3000 copies and he doesnt even mind about royalties.Take the example of Michelle Adamson and you will understand why most artists work like this simply to avoid situations like getting payed 570 dollars for a whole album. I already said before that i sign tracks and albums for fixed ammounts,i always pay my artists in advance what they ask me so this keeps me and them very happy indeed.And like i said before even the top artists of the psy trance scene ask for a fixed ammount of money in advance and dont give a toss at all about royalties,i mean even if they wanted to know how many copies you printed and sold that is not possible to do easily simply because most artists dont belong to companies like Acum or Segem to check their royalties for them or labels can print more copies than stated to the artist and also labels are in direct contact with their distribution companies and can even provide the artist with false statements concerning the sales.Because me personally and most of the artists that i work with dont like at all the idea of royalties we all work on fixed ammount of money in advance and this keeps us both happy.Afterall not many labels sell more than 2500 copies in our days so that the ammount of royalties could be a serious one.I mean Madonna and Britney Spears sell millions of records and ofcourse they do care about royalties but psy trance artists really dont care,at least most of them. When i said that the more you invest the more you will get i was mainly reffering to labels,i mean the best (and most expensive) names you will get into a compilation then obviously the more you will sale.At least thats how it works for me so far. I thought that your label released a compilation that sold 15000 copies which is impossible in our days except if you are selling an Infected Mushroom or Astral Projection album or Shpongle or something like that.Ofcourse you are talking about a track you released in a compilation by a big label that sold 15000 copies long time ago. By the way you got just 700 dollars for a cd that sold 15000 copies?Sorry but this sounds like a rip off to me,i signed a track for a friend of mine back in 1999 in a greek label that sold around 5000 copies (1/3 out of your compilation) and he got 800 euros (it was greek money back then ofcourse) for a lousy trance track in a very average compilation.

Do you think that labels care a lot about the money that artists get from their live gigs?

Its usually royalties based on the sales?Sorry but my experience so far tells me that an artist before signing a contract with any label aggrees on a fixed ammount of money as an advance and also royalties on top of that.Thats also the way that every well established label works on our small scene from what i know by friends of mine who own big and well known labels,medium labels with couple of releases each year and even smaller labels that just now start to evolve.Thats also the way i also work just for your info. 570 dollars for an album is a joke and i cannot think of any serious artist that will sign an album for this ammount of money,an 18 years old guy from Israel who copies Astrix and Infected Mushroom and has no releases yet YES this guy might sign for this ammount of money (or even for free) but i cannot think of anyone else who would accept such a deal.By the way there are so many labels around in our days that the majority of them cant sell more than 1000 copies,most labels sell around 800-850 copies and this happens because usually 'you will receive back what you will invest' if you can understand what i mean.And trust me someone who founds a label just to release his and his friends music doesnt invest much so he cant actually expect any serious sales. About the minimum for a track this depends from whom you ask a track,i mean you cant expect well established artists that are making music for years and own a big studio to settle with 500 dollars.People like Deedrah and Son Kite and Infected Mushroom obviously ask much more than that and with a reason if you ask me.Just like i said before the more you will invest then the more you will get back and from my experience so far with my label this works absolutely fine so far. By the way Spindrift you said that you have released a compilation that sold more than 15000 copies????Are you sure you didnt make a mistake with a zero in the end there?

Sorry but you dont have to be born with business skills in order to ask a label how much money they will pay you for releasing your work. I mean when Agitato asked Michelle to release her work didnt she asked them how much money she would be payed from that? Didnt they sign a contract? I mean Michelle is in the business for quiet some time and i simply cannot believe that she didnt asked Agitato how much money she would get paid for allowing them to release her cd with her name on it. P.S I am with Michelle here but just want to be devils advocate for a while cause i can understand that a label can fuck up an artist but i cannot believe that an artist wasnt aware from the beggining about the economic deal that even was supposed to exist original;y and which changed in the process by the label.

Shaman Of Sound the Future Prophecy guys are into much more mainstream sound than they used to be plus like you said X Wave is just fluffy music unlike the good old California Sunshine sound. Astral are out of their old sound. MFG cant wait to listen their new album on Hommega but i guess it will be another full on flop. Hope they prove me wrong. Also Chakra is going to release an album there soon...

Space Mantra Ganesh Propaganda is probably the best compilation to come out of Israel along with Xerox's great compilation In My Brain. They also include some european tunes but the israeli tunes in there are just the highlights. The last great israeli compilation was Full On 5 featuring majestic tunes by Power Source,Green House Effect,Psysex,Infected Mushroom,Illumination,BLT and more. After that the scene in Israeli was destroyed and turned into one of the worst music industries on the planet. For more than 3 years now Israel has nothing,almost nothing to be honest,to offer to the trance world. Where did Power Source,MFG,Chakra,Edi Miss and Mystica dissapear? What happened to Sandman? How did good old Infected Mushroom and Xerox changed so much? Where the heck are Future Prophecy and California Sunshine? Whats wrong with Astral Projection and Yahel? Why Space Cat and Oforia became mainstream? Why Emuna project never released anything again since their debut album? Why Cosma had to be taken away from us? I miss those good times so much....

Actually i prefer Erez and Jorg to work seperately. I mean when Erez worked on his owned he delivered the masterpiece I.Zen-Blue Rythmic Night and Jorg delivered The Message. I mean this was the time that israeli was producing some really fucking amazing tunes and not the cheesy stuff they do in our days.

Trolsk the word Sabotage has many meanings and its not always connected with terrorism you know,also reading the full promotional text on this forum or isratrance would help you understand why the word Sabotage was chosen for this album. I hope you can notice the headphones on the girls head and the dynamite which in combination signify something like 'explosive music' and i hope you can also check the piece sign in the lower right

So i am ignorant because i think that illegal downloading destroys the trance scene while you believe that mp3's are ok and that its the label's fault that dont evolve and develop new methods in order to promote their products. Also i am prejudiced because i say that a label that uses as its logo an evil goat head and the pentalfa sign are promoting satanism and evil while on the other side you claim that everything is ok cause this 'label' is a non profit organisation (from what they say) and that they donate their money to charity (which actually means funding their next releases and their PROMOTION which means they are investing on their exposure just in case someone decides to book them for an event). Man if this label doesnt promote satanism when using the evil goat and the pentalfa sign then which label does? P.S If exposure sounds like club trance to you then devils mind should sound like heavy metal to you.I guess club trance is more close to psy trance...

Trolsk i also dont get personally upset or insulted or anything BUT people using the devil (in any way) in the trance scene do it just and only for advertisment reasons and this is tottally LAME in my huble opinion. If you wanna do it in the heavy metal or death metal scene then ok do it but please dont come in trance and make a bad name for the music,we already got a lot of problems with the drug issue.
